Lowe Wines reviews
79Our visit and Wine tasting was great. The wines were delicious especially the reputable Zinfandel - had to purchase a couple of bottles. Very impressed given the organic and biodynamic processes behind the making. The fresh figs from the fig tree on site were melt in the mouth.
Loved the wines, good access to food platter options and lots of seating available, great views.
A superb wine tasting experience in stunning surrounds. Gorgeous gourmet treats and delicious baguettes.
A great experience with the staff tasting combined with beautiful bread baked on the premises. We decided to follow the walking map of the winery. Obviously the map drawer had a good imagination.
Just wow. The grounds are incredible and the views are second to none. This is before you even get into the tasting room. Lowe wines exemplifies rural Mudgee hospitality and customer experience. And the wines will blow you away.
An absolute must see while in Mudgee.
Great collection of wines. The staff is very friendly and the food is quite good as well. Loved the place. Set in a beautiful location.
Celebrated my sister in laws wedding yesterday. The venue was gorgeous, the food was splendid and the wines delicious.
Not much else to say, in reality I came here to praise a particular employee: Lachlan stayed after his shift was over and kept a group of us company while we waited for the bus we had rented to return. He was a genuine, interesting and sweet young man who told us about his job and interests while also showing a sincere curiosity in our lives as well.
IIRC, he said he primarily worked in the Zin house. So head on over for a tasting and have an interesting conversation with Lachlan.
Awesome experience for me & my partner. 1st time to taste the wine & we luckily met Emma who guide us through and very friendly, patient & helpful. We bought 2 awesome sweet-taste wince ever. Thankyou very much Emma. The Regional platter was great too. Speechless experience overall!
Great wines with great staff. We were lucky enough have David show case for us his award winning zinfeddell. If you are passionate about good food the Zin house food experience is a must, really worth the experience.
Throughly enjoyed our time at Lowe winery before we went to the Zin house. It was lovely to walk around the farm and enjoy the view at the lake at sunset. We even met David Lowe at the outdoor fire and he seems like a genuine and lovely person. Will be coming back!
A beautiful spot to sit back and enjoy the view with a lovely antipasto and cheese platter. Staff were lovely.
After a day of wine tasting at other cellars this is the ideal place to finish up and enjoy a glass with a cheese or meat board.
Great tasting wines (particularly ‘Mudgee Blue’)
Friendly staff.
Kid friendly environment.
Very good wines and attentive friendly staff at the tasting bar. (Thanks Alex for a lovely experience!) Admittedly, I am not wine expert and only enjoy the occasional glass. Most of the wines were in the $38.00 to $50.00 range.
Beautiful wines and a great view. I generally prefer reds but also enjoyed the white wines here. There were some really interesting wines here such as a preservative free Shiraz and a cool climate Chardonnay. The Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Block 8 Shiraz were outstanding.
Had a great time tasting wine. They do have a delicious tasting platter to make sure the tasting is done on a full stomach. Wines were much better than expected for a country estate. Someone will have to explain that to me one day. Bought a case of the pinot there and a case every year online. Will return in spring I think for more when camping at Old Barra.
The boss and Isabel were just lovely, great sense of humour and so knowledable and helpful when suggesting what to taste. The reds are incredible and they are organic. Truly sensational. Inside the cellar door you really felt like you could see where the magic happens. No winery in Mudgee can beat their view. We will be back and you must check The Zin House.
Absolutely exquisite place. The service is fantastic, we were greeted by the boss and had a quick chat. He pointes us to a lady for some wine tasting. She was very knowledgeable, funny and overall just lovely. The wines are a really good variety and we took an amazing and unique bottle of Shriaz home. For lunch, I highly recommend the platter, which has some great sourdough, feta cheese, meats, chutney, oils, lettuce, apple and more. It was beautiful to see and even better to devour. You simply have to go here if you like good wines and food.
