Lowe Wines

The wine tasting was such a lovely experience from start to finish, customer service was also fantastic and the staff really took the time to explain the wines to us. Their selection tasted great and the winery grounds were absolutely beautiful on a summer's day. Easily the most beautiful winery in Mudgee and a must visit for a any visitors in the area.

We heard lowe winery was a must visit and indeed when we got there it was really beautiful. The grounds are wonderful and plantings of herbs and flowers and trees add to the ambience of a cellar door that overlooks lush fields of grapes. The inside was part winery, part quirky set up of tables and seating areas allowing for personal tasting environments. The wines were interesting and we loved the biodynamic/organic philosophy behind their production. These were the good parts.
They get 3 stars for that part.
They lose the other potential 2 because of their management. We ordered the full hamper and settled in for the full experience. We were served by a delightful young lady (you score 5 stars Miley, thank you!) Whilst Miley was doing a great job serving us and explaining the qualities of each wine, for some reason a woman who acted like the manager decided this relationship building was wrong and tapped her on the shoulder at least 3 times telling her to go to other tables.
We had a lot going on on our table and when one glass clinked against another this same woman practically ran over to us and made a disparaging remark about the contents of the table, which was all their produce! Finally when Mr Lowe approached my partner presumably to welcome us, he didn't pay any attention to my partners reply.
This winery made us feel very much like 2nd class citizens and as a result i walked away with far fewer wines than i was intending on buying.
This cellar door experience was unpleasant and their repeated interruptions during our tasting jarring.
We noticed this poor behaviour across 2 other tables so it's obviously a systemic issue. Suggest they get some training in management.

The outdoor area was aesthetically gorgeous and the team was very welcoming coupled with vibrant energy. Sarah, Brian and Emma looked after us and showed in-depth knowledge of both the product and the area. Emma was particularly helpful in planning out the remainder of our day to suit the tastes of everyone present which we absolutely loved.

Was easily the highlight of our day tour of the Mudgee wine region.

I had one of the best wine tasting experiences here. I am a rookie wine drinker, but Brian and Claire, the wine tasting hosts were wonderful and patient in explaining every single wine I tasted. They were extremely knowledgeable and provided insight especially to wine drinkers like me who do not know much about wine. I will definitely visit Mudgee again, just to go to the beautiful and scenic Lowe vineyard. In my opinion, a visit to Mudgee is not complete without making a visit to Lowe Wines. If I can give Lowe Wines 6 stars, I definitely will! Thanks Lowe Wines, see you very soon in the future!

Great experience at Lowe Family Wine Co. Enjoyed the wine tasting and nice selection of snacks/cheeses to accompany the wines. Beautiful views and outlook onto the garden and vineyard. Worth a visit.

Very much recommend this place, great friendly people. Fantastic wines and also a great dining experience at The Zin.

Hands down my favourite winery in Mudgee. The wine is absolutely delicious (the Reds are so good), they have the most AMAZING loaves of bread and the best sides to match the picnic spread. On top of that the staff are wonderful (polite and truly passionate about the wines), there's a mini farm with emus (!) & donkeys and the venue was picture perfect. Would definitely recommend making a booking even in off peak season as it's a popular place!

Lowe was our favourite winery of our trip! The place is beautiful, the wines and food were amazing, and the staff was really friendly.

We went on a Tuesday morning so it was quiet; and we got to try more wines than what were on the wine tasting list, which was great!

We also loved being able to customise our platter, and everything was delicious. The variety of wines was also great, making it really enjoyable for both my partner and I (which have opposite preferences in terms of wines).

Finally, we walked around the winery and it is such a beautiful place! We ended up spending almost 4h there and we had a great time (our dog also loved it there!).

Unfortunately my friends and I did not have a positive experience here. Appreciate it was a Saturday and was busy, but the staff were very slow and disorganised.

The lady who served us for the wine tasting kept getting distracted with the other tables and missed people on our table for their serving MULTIPLE times, when we pointed this out we were basically accused of lying to try and get more servings? ! It felt very judgemental as we were a group of young women, don't be so quick to make this assumption please!

We gave up before the tasting had finished because it was so slow, bought a couple of bottles to have with our lunch to which we were met with perplexion that we opted to do this when the tasting hadn't finished.we pointed out that we needed to leave soon (we had been here for 1hr10 by this point) to which the staff member said to grab her when we were ready for the last tasting.we did this and we still waited another 15 MINUTES! We had enough and left.very annoying considering you pay $10 for the tasting and we had given PLENTY of custom by buying lunch for 9 people and additional wine.

I think this place has relied too much on the popularity factor and the fact they have a pretty 'photo' setting and has become lax in their service as a result, we had a MUCH more enjoyable time at the smaller wineries in Mudgee! Spend your money elsewhere!

What a place, second time here and loved it even more. Such a great way to spend an afternoon. The staff are fab, the lady that took are tasting was so knowledgeable it made our experience wish we got her name. Thank you for having us. Great wine food and stunning location and dog friendly to. We will be back.

Amazing place, beautiful wine tasting and great staff and food. We could see some Emus and enjoyed a couple hours there. Certainly I will come back next summer.

Lowe’s winery was so beautiful! David was a fantastic host for us with our tastings, very generous and the grounds were lovely to view and walk through. The bread/cheese boards are also very tasty! On a sunny day you could definitely spend all afternoon here

Our day at Lowe was absolutely fantastic. The service was wonderful - Lowe staff are attentive and you can see they really care about what they do. This is also reflected in how beautifully set up everything is. Would highly recommend Lowe to anyone who visits Mudgee. We’ll be back!

Absolutely stunning place! Beautiful way to spend your afternoon. We did the wine tasting with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff member. We had a walk around the property and a cheese platter and more wine afterwards a must in Mudgee!

A stunning beauty! Great way to chill out and relax. We did the wine tasting with Tristan (best and very knowledgeable). Service was fantastic. Property showcases great vineyards and friendly animals. Definitely recommend it to anyone know wants to know about wine.:)

Lowe fills in the market gap for organic and vegan wines. We had a good wine tasting experience here, and we also learnt about the organic grape cultivation and vegan winemaking process from our friendly host. He kindly handed the map of Lowe Estate so we could have a browse.

We had the baguette and cold meat as well. Can we stop a moment to appreciate the freshly baked baguette? It was warm, soft, with an outer crispy texture.
