Lowe Wines reviews
79Wonderful wine and beer (Lowe pale ale) in a perfect setting amongst very beautiful gardens and grounds. Well worth a visit. We enjoyed a picnic style lunch which was delicious.
Fantastic experience! Brian was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The Lowe wines are fantastic, both the white and the red. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will most definitely come back again.
We came to this cellar door on a very unfortunate day for the staff, despite the somber atmosphere we were welcomed in with a smile and were given an expert tour of some fantastic wines.
The friendliness and professionalism shown was out of this world, I'd give you guys 6 stars if I could!
We visited a number of Mudgee wineries, we saved Lowes till last, as we had heard great things about it.
For a $20pp tasting, we were very disappointed.
Very understaffed, poor service, left at our table for long periods of time, and least favourable wines.
Stunning place!
Amazing wine and the staff are so friendly.
Will definitely be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Lowe’s Winery. Not on is the winery itself spectacular, our Sommelier Brian was amazing in his knowledge and expertise. We enjoyed many beautiful wines in a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Afterwards we enjoyed some pizza whilst overlooking the vineyards. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a winery that has it all.
Just some feed forward - the tasting was too rushed, the lady h consistently didn’t have enough wine and had to run back to the stores (why don’t you just keep enough stuff each station?) and we shouldn’t be moving from station to station. We also booked to get lunch but at no point got asked if we wanted lunch and by the time the tasting was over we had to move to a new winery. Also at no point did we change glasses between the sparkles, whites or reds?
Such an awesome wine tasting here, Leila was so lovely and knowledgable, made our visit so fantastic. Wines were fantastic and we bought far more than we planned on! Top experience and delicious wines, thanks for having us!
Wow! What an unforgettable experience. Lowe Wines know what they're doing. 4 of us arrived with our 3 dogs and we were immediately put at ease about how welcome we were. The dogs were able to explore the property while we enjoyed some wine tasting. This wine tasting took us around different parts of the property, and our host Bryan was a wealth of knowledge. We had an absolute blast and our visit made our time in Mudgee really special. This place in an absolute standout and is not to be missed.
Hands down one of the best wine tasting experiences we've ever had. Truly entertaining, delicious and you get a real feel that everyone that works here wants to share their passion with you. I know you only say you're the 2nd best in the area but we went to the competition (it was pants).
Always a great experience at Lowe Wines! This weekend we took our friends who have never visited Mudgee and they absolutely loved it. Quinn was a great host who made our tasting a light, interesting and giggly experience.
Such a stunning spot for a tasting, lunch, or just a walk in the sun.
Whilst this a lovely property, we were a party of 8 (with a tasting booking $20 per head) squished in with two other groups of 5 and overheard a staff member tell one of our tasting servers to push thru quicker as there were several groups behind us. It felt extremely rushed and not at all enjoyable. If you are after a relaxing afternoon of wine tasting, this is definitely not the place to visit.
Amazing experience with a beautiful picturesque view, great grazing hamper and friendly service. Loved it and a must visit when around.
Turns out that it was much ado about not much. The staff individually were lovely. Perhaps they simply took too many bookings. The staff pass you on from one tasting station to the next and in our case we were hurried along. The staff had a sense of pressure about them no doubt because an older lady staff member literally told our second guy to hurry us up. It would have felt awful enough if it was free but at $20pp for a larger group it was highly unsatisfactory.
The wine was good (subjective i know) but often not worth the cellar door prices. Together with getting the bum's rush it was a wholly unsatisfactory experience. A beautiful setting too so it was such a shame. Go by all means but be advised.
So we went online and booked a time slot expecting that the winery would have limited numbers reserved for this time consistent with our experience at other tastings. Unfortunately it seemed that they were pumping as many people thru as possible and it was not the quality of experience we had hoped. Ronny and Ray did their best.
Rose sparkling was delicious! And I really recommend scones! You must eat with jam! It was fantastic!
Acknowledge we turned up with no booking as we had only just driven into town and a friend had recommended-the lady who greeted us laughed and made us feel stupid when we asked if any chance of a tasting and then said ‘we are so popular you cannot think we can slot people in’. Totally understand but would have been easy to explain that to us without having a superiority complex. We tried their wine but not as good as others ie Robert Stein.
Not terribly impressed with the service we received from one of your staff yesterday. Hopefully this was just a one- off experience with only one staff member. We only wanted a lunch platter, chose the $35 hamper, after trying to cut/share the half loaf and the 'toppings' (presuming all were local produce but no explanations about this given or obviously available) with only the one serrated knife and no plates, asked for two plates and two knives to make cutting and sharing the contents easier, was abruptly handed a wooden platter and one large butter knife and not a smile or an extra word. Good businesses are high on customer service at all levels! Graciousness even better. None of that yesterday. Sorry to be so negative but I would imagine you would be grateful for this (?) and maybe select/train staff better. And I realise it is so hard to find good staff as well.
Visited with family from overseas. Epic! Beautiful setting, fabulous experience. Brian was knowledgeable, friendly and we felt so welcomed. Tasted some terrific wines, learnt a lot and had a few laughs. 10/10, would recommend!
We had the most beautiful experience at this gorgeous winery. Brian, Ally and Ronny were so personable and kind. They were friendly and entertaining, and allowed us to lounge around after our tasting had finished. Would definitely go again, and will definitely be recommending to friends!
