Light Years - Byron Bay reviews
73Do yourself a favour and get the pork belly. Best I have ever had, modern-australian with all sorts of flavours and you can order a big bowl of rice for $6 that is enough for a group of 3-4 people.
Really tasty, excellent tapas style dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great. Not too expensive. Good for groups of friends. We had the wontons, duck parcels, Vietnamese slaw and fried chicken. Couldn't fault anything! Highly recommended.
Absolutely beautiful dishes, so good that we ate them then took photos of the finished dishes. The Kingfish was amazing and so were the dumplings. We kept the sauces on the advice of the really helpful staff to mix in with the rice and pork belly. Add a couple of ice cold Tigers and great cocktails. All for a really readonable price for a great meal.
Perfect meal and amazing service. BIG LOVE
To the staff especially Alisha for making my daughters birthday an amazing surprise with a complimentary and birthday song.
Legends xxxxxxx
I am Surprised to see so many people mention good value. 3 tapas and 2 drinks over $100. Pork ribs were ok, just tasted of fish sauce. Pork bao buns were descent. The duck pancakes were basic and extremely over priced. Ordered rice 2 times, never came (wasnt even busy) Feels like a typical Byron "fine dining" joint. Half-arsed service with unreasonable price tag. But looks pretty and says nice words on the menu. Summary: Average
YUM! I've been here twice now. Service was super, and prompt. Great menu and super tasty. Music gets a tiny bit loud at times, so conversation was a little tricky. Happy to recommend this place.
Outstanding! This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars, seriously. The food, the flavours, the presentation, the service, the creative menu. OMG! Mr Wong and Chin Chin, this is your competition. All foodies visiting Byron Bay MUST try! You won’t regret it. The ginger mushroom water chestnut wontons, the fried miso eggplant, the fish curry and the sago. YUMMMMMMMMM! Can’t rave enough. Keep it up Light Years.you’re light years ahead of the rest.
Yum absolutely love this restaurant! Hidden away in an arcade in Byron this Vietnamese restaurant is one to visit! The food is fresh and delicious. The cocktail bar is bustling with creative drinks. The restaurant is style with an eclectic feel and the staff are helpful and friendly
Cool place, nice atmosphere. Quite busy on a Monday evening.
We ordered 4 dishes to share, they arrived one by one with a quite long wait between each dish. The wonton dumplings were quite good. The fried chicken was OK, but nothing special. The salt and pepper tofu was way too salty. About one hour after receiving the first dish we still hadn't received the spring rolls, and decided to leave.
We didn't try the cocktails, but they looked really good!
Didn’t get to eat here. Despite empty tables galore the snooty waitperson said “ I’ve got no tables “ and turned her back on me! Not ‘have a drink at the bar” or ‘sorry maybe in.minutes. Went back 10 minutes later -same tables empty! The manager / owner - obviously someone who cares about their business was apologetic and charming but sorry, train your staff better!
Delicious food, amazing flavours. Really good quality. Bit pricey but it's Byron. Would recommend.
Byron Bays best little spot for dinner and drinks. The staff here are amazing and make you feel like a VIP
We hoped that this would be a good as the reviews but was totally let down. Dumplings are sitting in a warmer. Everything is pre cooked and barely warmed up. Papaya salad was nothing close to any papaya we have ever tasted. Left two barely tasted plates on the table and left.
