Great food, friendly staff but severely understaffed with 20min wait to order they obviously were under staffed

Had an amazing experience such an amazing meal food so good as always had the most brilliant waiter from marbella! Really made the experience! Will be back again again

Yes- we’ve probably all had great Asian fusion dishes before but light years is well.light years ahead in service consistency and creativity. Well done.again

Best meal ever! From the moment we walked in the staff were very welcoming. The food was next level. Never had a dumpling taste so amazing. Good job guys!

Dissapointing second time at Lightyears. Ordered the "primo" selection for 89pp, whereas ordering the same food from the menu would have cost the same (cheaper without the dessert that wasnt mentioned to begin with) as they only gave us half serves (2 dumplings instead of 4,2 baos, springrolls etc). Was only asked once if we'd like another drink. Ordering the exact same food without the single share dessert would have been $184 instead of $188. Other then this, the quality of the food and cocktails were great but the tasting plates are definitely not worth it. Experience was far better in their old location.

Absolutely lovely venue and staff.
The food however was just sensational. There was not one dish that I could say stood out because every dish we ate was mouthwateringly amazing. Even the kids who can be a little fussy ate every morsel and want to come back for more.

Super cool restaurant with a very inviting vibe. Nice atmospheric music and lighting made for a lovely anniversary dinner with my girlfriend. The service was also on point too. However, while the food was absolutely incredible and probably some of the best pork belly i’ve ever had, we both felt like we may have got food poisoning and were feeling queasy the rest of the night (we had the fish bao buns and pork belly, and had no alcohol).

We are locals in Byron and found our favourite dinner spot. Light Years menu, service and atmosphere are first rate.

Perfect food (actual real ceviche, perfect dumplings, best bao I’ve had, fantastic duck pancakes and deep rich fish curry). It’s like the chefs are trying really hard and succeeding. Service flawless (gave us some free rice to takeaway leftovers). Very impressed.

Food just kept getting better and better and better! My personal favourite were the ribs, the fish curry, fish baos, and the mushroom dumplings. Our waitress Kensey was extremely lovely and attentive and made our whole experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Best meal we’ve had in a long time! Right up there with the top Sydney & Melbourne restaurants. Cool vibe, lovely staff, great drinks, food was so flavoursome - couldn’t fault a thing! Definitely coming back on our next visit to Byron.

Had an amazing dinner here - every single dish was fantastic (ceviche, beef rendang, fried chicken, Asian greens) - service also amazing. Highly recommend this place 10/10

A nice dinner. It was quite a busy evening but staff were fairly attentive. The crab dumplings were great, and the honey prawns and fried rice were good too. For the price, it didn't blow my mind, but a good meal nonetheless.

An incredible good and creative place without a weak dish. The firecracker chicken is peak. Must try in Byron

Had a great lunch date with my mum at Light Years! We were well looked after by Georgia and the other wait staff, the food was all delicious (our picks were the Pork Belly Bao Buns and the Watermelon salad) and the food came out in a very timely manner and was well spaced out (we ordered 5 dishes between the twonof us and were full from this). Will definitely come back again. Highly reccommended

Lightyears has a diverse and interesting menu and we enjoyed the feast. Dishes were well presented and tasty. Cocktails were first class too. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Amazing food excellent service, welcome to Byron Bay making a huge difference in the cuisine very up market and reasonable prices. Thank you for a lovely dinning experience.
