Light Years - Byron Bay

Absolutely lovely experience! First time coming here and very impressed! Had an amazing experience with Daniel taking our order, he was very friendly and nice! We ordered a few different things which were all so well presented. I had the fish curry, not something I usually get but I was happy I ordered it. Fish was beautiful and perfectly put together! Never have I had food that has filled me up but not made me feel over full.ext time I come to Byron I’m definitely coming back here!

We just had the most magical experience at light year Byron! All thanks to Matt B! He was phenomenal! So attentive and when we looked around he was doing everything. Thanks for a great night!

Food and atmosphere were perfect! Best music and the most friendly staff. Definitely recommend the cauliflower curry

Excellent food! We ordered two mediums, one side side and one starter. Was enough for the two of us. 2 cocktails each and the food cost us 170 aud
Book the place on a weekend. Dont miss their cocktails. Pork bao buns were delicious. The qty of viet slaw was more than the sides you are served in other restaurants. Can be eaten as a mains as well. Firecracker chicken comes with a tangy sauce.

A nice little south east Asian diner. Seems very popular, I would highly recommend a booking, even midweek. Service was fun, although a bit chaotic, and the food and drinks were both of high quality.

We enjoyed amazing cocktails made by Jason at the bar and had a fantastic time. The ambiance is welcoming and cosy and the staff are exceptional. Highly recommend

Came here a few weeks ago with my partner food was amazing and packed with flavour only loosing a star coz the lady who served us was verry rude and impatient

Food was great, service not so much…. Had a booking for 8: 30pm, couldn’t food order until 8: 55pm despite asking to order & another waiter taking our drink orders… waiter then told us not to order so much or we wouldn’t finish it, we then finished it & asked to order more but was then informed the kitchen closed at 9pm ‍️

Service AMAZING…. Cocktails AMAZING… Food OUT OF THIS WORLD FANTASTIC!

Busy little joint. Great atmosphere & vibe. Great feed and quick service. The korean bao buns are a must to try. Highly recommend

From the airy white decorating to the friendly staff this place is great. The vegetarian spring rolls were delicious and so were the cocktails. Try a PYT

Disgusting service be a female waitress at the Byron Restaurant, she was intoxicated and harassing a table of female patrons.
She was dropping plates and glasses.
She was swearing and speaking rudely about other staff it was extremely unprofessional.
This ended in a verbal argument from the women at the table which was distressing to watch whilst having dinner.

Service could of been a lot better but the food was nice. Prices definetly reflect Byron bay tourist hype.

My experience dining at Light Years was super enjoyable! Service was amazing especially Lorissa who was very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious! Overall a 10/10!

Great menu but found the food average and extremely expensive. $30 for 4 bao buns was ridiculous. We had pancakes, bao and curry. The curry was probably the best. I wouldn't visit again.

Do not hesitate for a moment to eat here! I’ve eaten at heaps of Asian fusion restaurants and this is by far and away the best I’ve had. Every dish was a flavour explosion! Be sure to order the miso corn. It was fairly busy on the night we were in but props to the staff for their service with a smile. I’d say it’s worth booking a table if you want to get in.

Probably the best quality food you’ll find in Byron bay. Make sure you book in on there website as they have limited availability. The bao buns melt in your mouth. That is a must get!

Been twice and tried different dishes each time. All amazing. Great atmosphere, service and most importantly food.

The pineapple pork belly is too sweet for me.
Other dishes were really good tho.
The staff were accommodating.
Quick and excellent customer service.
