Light Years - Byron Bay

Good here is decent, service was warm but in a bit of chaos. But overall recommended if you want to have something different in town.

The girls at reception recommended me this place and I must say I’m so glad I tried it despite it being a busy night. Ordered the firecracker chicken & Vietnamese slaw - flavour packed punch that hits you in the right spots. Would definitely recommend this place but would advise to make a booking (I didn’t know)
Service was great and staff was polite & lovely.

Food is PHENOMENAL but the service is ATROCIOUS, we witnessed one of the waitresses take multiple personal calls as well as texting at the front. It took a while for us to flag down waitresses to get the bill and sadly NONE of the staff wore their masks on their face - they all wore them around their arms and elbows….

Loved all the dishes from the firecracker chicken, the crispy pork belly, the duck rolls
The drinks were excellent especially The Pass with rum.
Our bill for five of us with eight drinks and 6 dishes was 240/- Great value for money

Came in Saturday night and felt welcomed the moment we stepped through the door! Floor staff were happy and attentive, food was incredible and drinks were bangin’ - props to the bartender Nim, looked like she was getting pumped but we still didn’t have to wait our drinks…that just made the night even better

The food is delicious and so tasteful, I really enjoyed each of the 4 dishes we tried on that night.
Cocktail are absolutely lovely, specially the pineapple margarita ️.
Very nice set up, very quiet, good music and lovely staff.
We will definitely be back in our next trip to Byron.

Had one of my favourite meals in Byron at this place. The food was divine, so tasty and fresh, everting we had was better than the next. Service was darling, with our waitress giving us extra attention and hanging around for a chin wag. I will definitely return when I’m back in town!

I was expecting more after trying bang bang. The lady at the front door was amazing and definitely representing a higher tier of service. The bar tender was also next level! The wait staff werent the best as they could use a smile or two. The food was hit and miss, the chicken and duck were winners. Still enjoyed the night however would choose bang bang everytime as the food was just a lot nicer and the staff were so lovely:)

First time visiting here from Sydney. The food was an eye opener. Spoke to the owner who planned out the menu and talked us through it. Food was spot on! The Corn Miso is a must try! Got served by a really nice waitstaff called Rhiannon and a connoisseur of a bartender Dean.

The food was delicious, complex in flavour and perfectly executed.the wait staff and restaurant manager welcoming, friendly & professional. The wine and cocktail list all you need and not OTT expensive. A great dining experience!

Tucked into one of the little side laneways off the main street, Light Years has awesome decor and a great vibe. Drinks were great, but we were underwhelmed with the food. It's been highly recommended so perhaps need to give it another go.

Me and my partner enjoyed dinner here. The food and cocktails were unbelievable. What put the cherry on top was the service. Jimmy was amazing with recommendations on the food & drinks - 100% will be back

We had an amazing experience! The food and cocktails were awesome, and we loved the ambience!

The bao was our favourite, especially the “strange flavour” sauce was the best! We expected more food for the price though, but it was, overall, very enjoyable.

Being from out of a city where there are numerous Asian options, I found the fusion concept muted the things I love about Asian food and for what it was, it was overpriced. I do expect more given that this restaurant has 1 hat in 2021. I would say the cocktail was nice

Incredible food and even better cocktails! Thankyou for accomodating the extra two friends we had brought along too. Every single dish was absolutely amazing. Wanted to order more but we were so full!

Amazing food, some of the best in Byron. Vibrant atmosphere, great drinks, and super service from friendly staff!

Food was nice staff not so much. Asked if the Penang curry could be made mild. Waitress didn't respond other than saying it is Spicy. So I said I guess that means you can't order it mild and it was left with that. Enjoyed the food. Not family friendly.
