I was looking to get some formalities done for our start-up. We wanted to set up two company structure (one entity already existed), do stock split and issuance, draft a shareholders agreement along with marketplace + SaaS T&C's, IP assignment and trusts to hold each (4 total) founders shares.

Quotes from other firms with up to $5k for a single document and easily over 10k in total. Turns out this was mostly labour costs as we are able to do almost every single thing we need on Lawpath for under 1k. TOTAL!

When they first called I spent 15 minutes trying to understand their business model because the value seemed too good to be true. First impression was really strong with the discussion I had about which plan we should use.

The onboarding call with Lianne reinforced our faith as she showed us how simply we could do the task we needed and then demonstrated how we would get in touch with actual lawyers if we want them to review our documents or provide consultation on specific commercial business related matters.

Lawpath have simply found a niche to serve those who dont have thousands to spend on ongoing law firms but do have the time available to work things out themselves. By removing the upfront work drafting docs and setting out clauses they save clients a lot of money considering billable hours are the most expensive part of legal costs.

I'll make sure to leave another review in 12 months as a follow up to this.

Complete unprofessional services with an extra sarcastic representative named Georgia. Honesty their team cannot process a refund in a timely manner. Tried to call them but they clearly hang up on you.

Terrible experience. Layers of free and very complex to change anything once setup unfortunately.

He helped me register my company over the phone and when I realised a couple hours later that I'd misspelt the company name he acted swiftly to help me lodge a request to ASIC to correct the spelling. Thankfully because he acted so quickly the request was approved.

! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
Very unprofessional and insincere, the first representative I had spoke to argued with me about a confirmation email regarding to a refund that was never sent out to me and he had tried to blame me and my brand new phone, later on I got an email saying the refund was processed minutes after the phone call. With no apologies at all, instead they decided to hang up on me while on hold. Very unprofessional and disappointing would not recommend at all, waste of time and money! This whole process took about 2/3 weeks.

The intial process for the registration of the new company was quick. However, after paying $709, I did not have access to my documents. Not until I selected a subscription service which was promoted and worded in a convoluted way.

They then proceeded to bill me for $828 (a week later) and refused to consider a refund when I requested it immediately after receiving an invoice. Their response was 'nope sorry, not going to consider, your mistake' - no empathy from Lawpath.

I understand I might have made a mistake, but this is not a great start to a relationship that should be based on trust. I'm not sure I'm going to stick around as I feel cheated and deceived from who I believed would be a 'trusted partner' for my business.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT under any circumstances register a company through Lawpath it is a complete scam, they do not provide the documents you pay for until they attempt to extort more money from you via up selling. They will not provide the company documents I paid for until I speak to my "dedicated account manager " who is not available for 3 weeks! Absolutely appalling service. They need to be reported to both ASIC and the ACCC for predatory behaviour.

I paid for the incorporation of a company and have to now pay extra money to obtain the incorporation documentation. This is a blatant attempt to obtain more money from the customer for what is reasonably expected to be included in the initial purchase price. I would avoid using Lawpath to incorporate a company.

Really helpful service so far. Great for a start up, cost effective, real time help chat online. Great resource for contract and agreement templates.
