A classic elegante tranquil & picturesque place. On arrival we had a very warm welcome from Jessy. Our room was very clean, comfy with balcony & beautiful mountains and valley views. A perfect location, close to everything we needed. We also loved the breakfast!
It was my husband birthday and receptionist Jessy personally delivered a bottle of red wine & birthday card to our room on behalf of The Voco team. We felt that this gesture was done with care and thoughtfulness. Thank you Voco & Jessy! We really appreciate this nice touch! All staff at Voco was really wonderful! We highly recommend Kirkton Park Hunter Valley We will be back! ️

Voco was one of the most magical accommodations I've stayed in. Not only was the grounds and room beautiful but the service was second to none. From reception to the little touches like leaving a personal note in our room it was all worth the experience.

The location is perfect too as it's less than ten minutes away from all the best vineyards and to the hunter valley gardens.

Highly recommended.

Really very pleasant hotel very near the best of the Hunter Valley - wineries, cheese tasting places, olive sample stations - all of the things. Nice fit out, friendly staff, top quality facilities with a bar and a restaurant within easy reach. Friendly staff who take the time to say hello, wonderful views of the valley and surrounding gardens that must take a huge effort to maintain. Facilities in the room are good and yes there's room service. Fiddly points. Whoever installed the Power Points installed them without clearance below them, which makes it impossible to plug in a plug with a block section below it. There's too much dust behind the bedhead which I only discovered on plugging my wife's c-pap machine in. Realize dust is an inevitable part of living but feel I need to mention it as it isn't good for people with respiratory conditions. Still, these are very picky points and overall the experience of this hotel feels pretty schmicko. (There's that private school boy word I swore I'd never use again, but after 4 days 2022 has brought back some unfortunate memories I'd sooner forget.) A good time was had by all. The pina colada only gets 4 stars, though, but you can't have everything!

I wanted to surprise my sister and brother-in-law to a luxury break in the Hunter Valley. They were so impressed with the accommodation, the excellent staff and the lovely gardens. Thank you for making their stay a memorable one as it was my sister's 70th birthday. They thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very friendly and helpful staff across the property. Have already booked to return, beautiful heritage buildings. Our pet was warmly welcomed by the team and sat with us at the fire pit or on the rear balcony whilst we had dinner/drinks. Thanks for a great stay in the Hunter.

Stayed here for one night though the weather was raining but Voco hotel is amazing, the room has balcony which breathtaking view over the hill and we could see the kangaroos from our room.
We didn’t go out of hotel for dinner as the weather was raining all the time so we ended up had the dinner at the hotel, we were really impressed with the food and pizza tasted amazing.
Hotel also has indoor swimming pool, we went there to check it out but didn’t have chance to swim as we were too tired, however it looked clean and peaceful.
Breakfast was great with variety choices.

The staff were really nice, great service and helpful, we would definitely coming back here again.

Fabulous place to come and stay and unwind. Beautifully appointed rooms, very spacious, very comfortable beds, shower and seperate bath, robe and slippers, quiet, country views and beautifully maintained gardens and fountain. Old world charm with modern amenities. Staff and service were excellent. Didn't eat at the restaurant as closed during my stay, but their lounge/room service menu and breakfast is really good. Cant wait for another opportunity to stay here again.

We had the High Tea and was delicious. Setting was beautiful. Staff very attentive. Petite fours, pastries and scones all beautifully made by chefs with flavours that were heavenly. Will definitely return here. MT

A group of us had High Tea here yesterday. The location and setting were quite beautiful and the staff seemed pleasant enough but the High Tea was a big disappointment. The sandwiches were cold out of the fridge and the bread had gone hard. The mini cakes seemed commercially made and had no taste. The hot selection were like out of a box, served with bottled tomato sauce. We weren't offered any hot drinks until late into service. The only fresh food on the plate were the scones. So much promise yet so much disappointment. And $59 each, ouch!

Amazing location! Great spacious and classy room with an amazing bed and great pillows, bathrooms a bit dated but still good and clean. Amazing breakfast. Definitely will stay again!

The lady that checked me in was so lovely and her customer service made the experience so much better. The breakfast was delicious. The only thing that made me take a star away was the fact that i wasnt told about connecting doors in the rooms and paper thin walls so we could hear the couple next door doing their business at 4pm which wasn't the most pleasant when you're trying to be on a family friendly trip.
Other than that great stay and you get anazing views of the sun rise snd sunset

We were a group of aprox 100 guests staying for four nights, we were told the dinners ($70 each) would be presented as announced by your fine dining chef. An insult to "fine dining" and "chef".

I can only say the food was atrocious, hardly fit for consumption.
Chicken boiled grey brown and literally dumped into the serving bain mari like slops.

Beef pre carved and presented like slices of cardboard, tough and dry
BBQ sausages looked boiled and brown, fish steamed nothing else, just edible out of four meals, Pasta dish tasted like raw flour.

Everything except salads, was of such a poor quality except the grilled salmon I had on the last night was OK but served cold as all meals at our table, which was first to be served.

The staff were very pleasant, even the three girls that had to look after 100 people for dinner, serve drinks, clear tables, felt sorry for them having to present substandard food.

Breakfast is what you would expect from your average roadside motel.

The rooms are very dated and tired, the squeaking floorboard in my room must have annoyed the hell out of the guests next door.

I have travelled consistently world wide for 37 years and can honestly say this was the worst food experience ever.

DO NOT BOOK. Worst hotel customer service experience in over 20 years of travel.

Booked and paid for in full a 40th birthday celebration to stay at this hotel in January 2021. The hotel contacted us Friday 28 May (11 days before our stay) to say they had booked the entire hotel for exclusive use and they wanted to simply move us to their sister hotel.

I spoke to the supervisor on duty Joel who was tasked with moving guests to the Crowne Plaza. He informed me I would have to arrange my own refund with Qantas and blamed the Crowne Plaza rather than his hotel constantly during a phone call. Zero ownership of responsibility for creating the situation for the hotel's own financial gain. The general manager called the situation ‘unfortunate’ and something that ‘does not happen often’, however when pointed out that almost all of the hotel's negative feedback related to them cancelling individual contracts for exclusive use bookings he changed his tone. ‘Unfortunate’ shows a lack of acceptance that the hotel made a deliberate financial decision to cancel a private contract and screw over clients who have planned holidays well in advance.

For a “deluxe room”, the Heating was broken in the room, Air con stayed on as the remote was broken and blew cold air and dust. We didn’t complain because of the screaming children at an adults hotel stay, yet we were watching TV at 8: 30pm and got a noise complaint - there is no rules for a curfew.
Not worth the money paid for this stay. For a 5 star, it shouldn’t have any issues from the minute we walk in. When they checked in, they couldn’t see the original booking name and told us we didn’t have a booking. Lots of inconvenience and with little resolution or communication. Disappointed as I heard lots of good things. Unprofessional staff.

We arrived on a late Friday evening, we ordered food from the casual menu, but that turned out being really nice food. The hotel is situated on a nice estate, great views and sunrises. Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and spacious, and fits a fam of 4 (and MTB) nicely. The matresses are a bit soft for my liking, and woke up with backaches, but than again, I'm old. The indoor pool is nice and so is the gym. The surroundings are quite stunning with nice hills.

Booked for a 1 night stay on 8 June 2021.9 days prior to our confirmed booking the hotel called and cancelled our booking. They have a history of this - see trip advisor feedback. 2 days prior to the booked date we received an email saying the hotel was looking forward to our arrival. I checked the reservation on line and it was confirmed as cancelled. 3 days after our booked date we received a credit card charge for 2 nights accommodation. Contacted the hotel who say they will refund, can take up to 10 days so still waiting. Avoid this place or have an alternative plan and check your account afterwards.

High Tea at Kirkton Park was a fantastic experience. Very impressed. Penny and her team went above and beyond to make it special and Tracey was a very friendly and accomodating server. Great improvements here highly evident. High Tea in Sydney of the same caliber would be double the price. Food quality and quantity was on point. We’ll be back
