Kirkton Park Hunter Valley

Terrible bed! Service was great, location was very beautiful and well maintained. Our family enjoyed the pool, tennis and seeing the pigs, turkey and chickens. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Such a shame the bed was frightfully uncomfortable. The bed we slept in needs replacing! It was all lumpy and dipped in parts which made for a very unrestful sleep. Disappointing.

Beautiful room with stunning views and full facilities. The staff mostly were nice especially the receptionist (Kristy) was so friendly with smiles and helpful.
There are restaurant and lounge bar. We stayed for one night that included buffet breakfast was great and beautiful variety of food choice. There are indoor swim pool, gym, basketball and tennis court also farm animals too. We were highly recommended and would back here again.

We stayed 2 nights for our anniversary (actually, we have tonight to go). I couldn’t have asked for more. From our life with a busy toddler and full time workers it was delightful to feel a moment of downtime.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. Heidi and Georgia who made up our room left no stone unturned. Heidi left a cute towel-rose.

Monique at reception was so thoughtful and considerate. We didn’t catch the name of the person who made our coffee but he had 2 earrings and it was one of the best coffees we’ve had.

The view was fantastic (valley view king room) and it was exciting to have s’mores and fire pits awaiting us. We loved visiting the pigs and chickens and the landscaping. The person tending to the garden is doing a wonderful job. We loved exploring the land despite spring not yet having sprung. It is wonderful to have the walking track available.

Breakfast was delightful (skip the mini waffles), we made our own juice which was exciting. The Buddha bowl, pizza, hommus, arancini, kipfler potatoes, were just wonderfull. We dined at the bar twice, had room service, and breakfast buffets.

The style is perfect and the staff add a wonderful extra level of luxury in their consideration of guests. This is a huge property to maintain and everyone is doing a wonderful job.

We feel really lucky to have stayed here and are thinking of making it an annual event. Thank you so much.

I like the atmosphere. It's quiet, the scenery is nice, and the staff is friendly. I happily drank wine in my room.

This is one of the best hotel for vacation that I have ever stay, my family love it so much. Just as my little daughter wrote (as the picture shows), with the beautiful view and amazing bar and restaurant, adults can have a good relax; and various entertainment facilities for kids to have fun. Will definitely say again!

Was a beautiful place to stay. The rooms were lovely and breakfast the next morning was outstanding.especially the GIANT Nutella dispenser.was back for 3rds! The property was beautiful sunset over the valley was a highlight. Def recommend staying here!

What an amazing place, highly recommended to have a memorable vacation or even business trip. The rooms are wide and serviced, the staff are so friendly.
Many activities are available to enjoy, there are a tennis court, basketball court, gym and pool

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The hotel is beautiful and very peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast add on option with the stay is worth the extra $.

Unfortunately the pool was extremely cold and the spa did not work. We were told it's getting fixed but it did not happen over the duration of our stay. Very disappointed about this. The saun takes about an hour to heat up to 35 degrees, also a big let down.

The sauna was very dirty, used towels, rubbish, cobwebs and dust covered the floor and under the seats. It wasn't cleaned between Sunday and Tuesday.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Cocktails were delicious a little pricy at $21 a drink.

We love a game of pool, the bar had a pool table but it's the most uneven, unleveled table. Must be mainated and reclothed. Couldn't play a proper frame.

Overall a peaceful experience.

Epoch - Stick to Kids Meals

Tuesday 10th Jan 2023. I decided earlier that day after visiting the establishment to order the braised beef cheek because after all how hard is it to get that wrong? I had to take it back to the bar because to accept what was served to me would have just been wrong. I will for the establishments sake list all the things that were wrong with the dish starting with the fact that it was cold as if it had been sitting waiting for the wait staff to transport it from the kitchen to the table for 30 mins. I don't know how long it sat there for because by the time it reached my table but it wasn't even warm. Then it was dry, dry like it was freezer dry. I won't go on but my entire family agreed that it was a horrible dish, It didn't even have any taste, I honestly don't know how any chef could have pushed out a dish that was so horrible. A question for the management maybe? If you were a starving dog this dish might have seemed like paradise but as a visitor to this excellent establishment so full of promise it was nothing more but an acute disappointment. My wife's choice of chicken was just OK. The Kids liked their meals at least. The staff were professional and offered a replacement meal but after having received the aforementioned I would not trust this Kitchen. It was beyond shocking, the dining room was pretty much empty so there was no excuse really. At least they took the cost of the meal off the bill. The kids were so disappointed that we left without trying the desserts but I could not in any conscience risk subjecting them to another order after sending my dish back.

Excellent experience during we stay here, all staffs are friendly, strong suggestion to book buffet breakfast, reasonable price and high quality food.we can not wait to come back for another holiday.thanks all staffs in voco. See you soon.

The hotel and grounds where way better than we expected. The staff where amazing. They went out of their way to make our 34th wedding anniversary very special. We are certainly going to make plans to go back back as we would now wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Really enjoyed our stay here over the weekend. The property boasts a unique and magical rose garden and is situated in a fantastic part of Polkobin amongst the wine gardens and winding country roads. The service and the rooms were fantastic throughout our stay from start to finish with a lovely buffet breakfast.

Really lovely hotel, reminded me of the likes of Soho house. Gorgeous setting and the grounds are very well kept. Rooms and beds are very comfortable, nice products available and the breakfast is delicious with options for everyone, even a juicer to make your own fresh juice. There were some things missing or that could be improved on, the bar staff weren’t very helpful, we ordered food at the bar and brought it over and quickly left without asking if we needed anything, so I had to go up and ask for napkins cutlery condiments etc, they also weren’t topping up the fire so I did this as well, they seemed to be just hanging around behind the bar talking to each other. There was no mini bar in the hotel room and no movie options. The hot tub was also out of order. Overall lovely place to stay in the Hunter but there are some improvements that could be made.

Our group had an amazing stay at Kirkton Park. It was everything you want in a hotel and it was just like the pictures. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they were very knowledgeable about the area. The food was fantastic especially breakfast, best ever. If you want a really booshie hotel to spend time in the Hunter Valley, this is it!

Kirkton Park is so beautiful. The grounds, the garden, the facilities, the decor and the staff are exceptional in their service. This is one of the best places we have stayed! I want to bring more of my family back.

Jsut lovely in every respect, I scored an upgrade to a suite overloking the beautiful valley scenery and a bottle of a local red wine. Staff were all super friendly and a mix of old hands and newbies but all had a great attitude.
