Kirkton Park Hunter Valley

Trying to ring them to book my wedding reception and no one will answer I don't know what else to do

Stayed for two nights. Great location. Good food & breakfasts. Spa was unavailable due to renovation but beautiful swimming pool. Worth noting that the hotel has outdoor fire pits can sit together drinking beers with friends.

It’s so Hampton. (using the name as an adjective here) The interior and outdoors is so English, Vintage, Classic, Serene, Fresh, Clean Air and amazing staff plus food and drinks.
Total meditation?

Took the Valley View Room. Well maintained, clean, fully equipped and room service is super fast.

Has 2 great restaurants within property. One is Lavish and needs prior booking and the other is casual and just a walk-in. Has a bar that closes late as per reception. Live band too… had an amazing singer last night.
Both restaurants are welcoming and has great food.

Buffet breakfast lasts till 10: 30 am and has plenty options for this era where everyone is on some different dietary plan. Plenty staff around to help you?

They quite a few outdoor activities for all ages too. Safe and supervised

Although there are plenty estates with good hotel options in the Hunter Valley, my heart was stolen by this one. Planning next stay already.

Just finished a 3 day conference at the Voco Kirkton Park and it was fabulous!
The staff were amazing and incredibly attentive, the food was sublime and the cottages were huge.
The beds were super comfy. I will definitely bring the family back and sample all the activities.

Well I always stay at this place, this time I try different place and what can I say is there is no comparison with everything. We have breakfast there this time and as usual everything are so yummy the staff are always helpful.

My husband and I stayed at voco for our wedding night. My father in law dropped our stuff off in the afternoon and advised the checkin staff that we would be arriving late as our wedding was that evening. However, I received two calls during our wedding ceremony and reception from the hotel asking when we would be checking in. Additionally, we feel that voco could have made our stay more personalised given that we advised the hotel ahead of time that our two night stay was for our wedding. The room looked like the standard room that anyone would receive, which while lovely, you would have expected at least a personal note congratulating the couple. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Although there seemed to be quite a lot of mosquitos in the room. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the coffee was great. Overall, giving the place 3 stars as the hotel need to work on their service.

Beautiful high tea set up in the veranda overlooking the garden and the hills in the backdrop. The property itself is beautiful. Will definitely plan the next detest there.

Just go for the breakfast alone! Absolutely superb! The hotel is a solid 4 star and having the pool there makes a difference. Wish we could of got into the fine dining. But we went to Spicers for dinner, which was also amazing.

Beautiful spacious rooms grounds are stunning and the location is unbeatable. Restaurant is not bad

The high tea itself was lovely and the food was great, with stunning views of the garden. Unfortunately I'm giving 2 stars because the service was non-existent. We were the only 2 people there and were not approached once by any staff during the course of the high tea. The staff disappeared after bringing the food and drinks. Usually at high tea you get asked if you'd like anything else such as more hot water for the tea etc.

Used the restaurant facility. Coffee was well made. Devonshire tea + scones were yummy.friendly staff and warm service. They make you feel special.

Overall had a lovely stay. Lovely rooms, very clean, restaurant was very decent and staff very friendly,
Few suggestions are
- wifi was pretty dodgy
- a toilet brush would be helpful
- room service didn't take used glasses etc and replace with new ones.

Excellent service, Jessie at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure our stay was like no other! Highly recommended.

Spectacular! We were made to feel so welcome we didn’t want to leave. Room was comfortable and bed was like a giant pillow great for a peaceful night sleep with surroundings to match. The Chess Board, piano & historical relics were a nice finish to the Epoche Bar, along with comfy arm chairs & lounges. Staff were very accommodating from beginning to end and the buffet breakfast was worth the price, thank you to all the staff who made it such a memorable stay, we will be back

Top notch from beginning to end. Great service and excellent hospitality. VOCO was absolutely fantastic! My family and I had a wonderful stay at VOCO and will definitely be returning!

Have a really nice group lunch
And even moved the group in side on the hot day

We had a great stay at Voco and I cannot recommend Faith at reception enough to help with all your needs!
Faith is a true asset to this establishment. We need more people like her in the workplace.

Our team spent three wonderful days there, staff was very friendly, food service was amazing and in general amazing customer service.

We were at voco Kirkton Park on 11 Jan. The reception staff, Jessie was very welcoming and friendly.

We had our breakfast the next morning and found a few strands of hair (mushroom) on our food. The wait staff, Jess, reported to the chef who confirmed that it was indeed hair. We also noticed that the Chiptole sausages was under-cooked and reported to the chef.

I think the management should take food safety more seriously especially with COVID. I haven't heard from them how they are seeking to improve from this unfortunate event.

Huge standard king room. We were lucky to be on the corner of the west wing so had a nice little wrap around balcony. There are other rooms adjacent sharing the balcony with only little dividers, but I knew that would be the case from the pictures when booking.
The view is amazing from the room and the air conditioner was already on when we came in so the room was nice and cool on arrival! I know that’s a small touch but was amazing as it was a hot summer day on check in.
We booked through luxury escapes with a deal that included breakfast. Breakfast had the normal things you’d expect from a buffet with about 10 different bread options (including gluten free). Very happy with the breakfast, however, if it wasn’t already included I don’t think I’d pay for it.

Positives
- probably one of the comfiest hotel beds I’ve stayed in
- Huge room for entry level “standard”
- Views
- Hotel facilities (bar/lounge, restaurant, pool, gardens, spa, sauna, gym and tennis court). Just some things most other places in the area don’t have, especially a pool.
- super friendly staff
- the lounge/bar has good food options if you don’t want to go to the restaurant. It also has chess, pool table and cards for use by guests

Downfalls
- shower bath combo (not a fan)
- Wifi didn’t reach the room
- the floor in the room creaked SO much. I thought the room next door wouldn’t be able to hear but I could hear them walking around so assume they could likely hear us too.
- The room had no “welcome book” or QR code and the hotel website is pretty vague so didn’t really have any info on breakfast times, room service, facilities, attractions etc.

All in all, was a great stay over New Years and would definitely stay again.
