Great place to spend a day. They have great layout, plenty of parking, good amount of toilets. Play area for kids just a well thought out store and love the reduced section.
NEGATIVE
The traded in goods, whilst a nice idea is mostly rubbish! Their biggest disappointment is you could get a decent FEED back when it was at Waterloo. Now days all the food is meagre serves of poor microwavable quality at premium price!
Foods are ok. You get what you paid for. IKEA should employ more staff to clean up the tables. Not everyone will or want to clean after themself even though it is a self service restaurant. The tables end up with a lot of tablets and plates etc.
Almost everytime when I go there after shopping I have to clean the table before using it. I do not think people in this country ready for such system.
Classic Ikea Swedish food always fresh and tasty. You can also watch the planes land or takeoff as you enjoy your meal
Salmon was so dry almost couldn’t cut through it. Staff rude. The glass I paid for was filthy with food stuck to the sides of it. Stood in the line for 7 minutes to pay as there was some issue with operators so everyone’s food was cold. Ikea restaurant use to be good in Australia but this Tempe one has really gone down hill. Will not eat here again after all these years! 23.01.20 11.30am
Casual, relaxed & simple, a no fuss approach to a healthy meal (& not so healthy but tasty treats), at reasonable prices, with nice coffee or tea. There are different seating zones to suit your mood in a very pleasant layout. Some areas have access to phone or laptop charging. There's also a microwave to heat foods or baby bottles.
3.9 - Didn't see any good cakes or desserts in particular but surprisingly very very good coffee on soy! Lots of tables not cleared or clean but plenty of empty tables further away!
Honestly the staff there are super helpful and the environment in the shop is really good. The reason I put a one star is due to the really bad experience with my recent purchase from the shop. We ordered the goods for the office and arranged for delivery on Friday during 11am to 3pm. As we are not sure at what time they would come, so we arrived at the office at around 11: 30am pending the arrival of goods. As the goods didn’t arrive at 3pm, I ring IKEA up to check and they told me it’s on the way and it might be a bit late. I could understand that it could be busy at times. At 4: 30pm still no one get in touch with me, I called again and got told that they were on the way and that’s 20 mins away from my office. At 5: 20pm, still no one call me so I called IKEA again and the staff told me the delivery people will call me in 5 mins to let me know the estimated arrival time. As no one call me again, I called them at 5: 44pm and the staff told me that they are now at the street near my office. When I went back to my office and checked, no one were there and no one called me either. I called at 5: 55pm again and 6: 10 again. I know the delivery company doesn’t belong to IKEA but they are their contractor and they should hv some quality control on this! I have wasted one whole day waiting for the furnitures to arrive.even the assembler arrived, the furnitures were not there yet! Now at 6: 19pm, the IKEA staff told me that they will be there in 15 mins. Now 15 mins has passed and still no one contact me yet. If you can’t delivered what you promised the customers, I would rather you don’t make the promise at the first place.
I bought a soft toy shark from ikea online shop but that shark ‘s tooth damaged. Did you guys do this for every online shopper? Did you send the damaged good to everyone because they can’t check immediately? How dare you?
This place is huge! Excellent range of stock, displayed well. If you are hungry, you can enjoy a snack or lunch, before you walk around.
I ordered a couch and some other furniture online. After problems with directing the driver, I got everything I ordered except the couch. I got a couch cover from a different couch instead. When I rang, I was told they would investigate, no assurance of when I would get my couch. Very poor service
Everything I thought it would be amazingly showroom displays, very cheap. Cafeteria was outstanding
Like all IKEAs its quite a large store.
I doubt any of them would be very different, IKEA has their formula set.
Still, easy acces, and some other really good stores next to it.
I don't really expect much from IKEA restaurant or its products at all, but my last visit was disastrous. I ordered the meatballs and it went downhill from there. Meatballs were cold in the centre, the (processed and frozen) mash must I dare say, tasted like vomit. It wasn't even rush hour I would've expected the food to be cooked! Not worth $13 to end up on the toilet.
Always a great experience. Overlooks the car park and out to the city skyline. Very well designed with ample seating suitable to large families, small intimate groups who want windows seats and wheelchairs. Love that they have kids size meals available and food is always fresh and for what you pay.amazingly good value! Would recommend!
Ikea is the best for good furniture. I have so much ikea stuff at my house that i can't even count. Food is delicious there!:)
Daughter did purchasing and got most of what she needed. Lunch was nice. Enjoyed my time there. I wish they had one in Newcastle.
All meals premade (no assembly required) but still tasty, kid friendly, good range of desserts like cheese cakes, cinnamon scrolls apple pie and more. Heaps of spacious seating even for big groups, and if you have childeren there's a small kids play area eaisly visible while eating.
Welcome pit-stop for when you tire of soft furnishings and ideas about how to live in a shoe-box.
Restaurant is amazing food is yumm. I love the meat balls n fish n chips deserts are delightful
Ikea is huge and if you need a snack then try the meat balls! The view from the cafe is excellent. You can see the city and glimpses of the Harbour Bridge.
