Icon By Design

After reading all the positive reviews online for Icon by design we purchased the Magnus table and chairs along with a rug. Process was very easy with a lot of communication from Icon prior to delivery. Furniture quality is of a very high standard and we are really happy with our purchase. I would recommend Icon to others and we will be purchasing from them again in the future.

Really lovely and durable products! Very stylish mid-century. Also 5 starts for great service, both in the Richmond shop, online and afterwards (just to check in - not because of a problem).

Extremely disappointed, goods starting to fall apart after only a few years and “customer service” not at all helpful

We purchased a dining table, 6 chairs, a king bed and bedside tables in the Walnut in December 2019, two of the 6 chairs have come apart at the join and now wobble, when approaching the store the sales people agreed that this shouldn’t occur within a short period of purchasing but referred me to their customer service consultant Anita, Anita finally responded (after 3 weeks and a follow up email) saying as they are outside of the 2yr warranty I would need to have these repaired myself, noting that these chairs were >$400 a chair, and in total we had spent close to $12,000 in the store, not good enough when it is clear that the chairs either weren’t glued or had faulty glue at the joints. Secondly the bedside tables and backs of the chairs seems to have worn really badly, again we are a 2 person household who don’t even use the table and chairs that frequently, and we were told that it’s just fair wear and tear, it actually makes me question if the wood is even authentic walnut?

All in all, extremely disappointed with the quality of the furniture, and the response from so called “customer service”, especially for the price paid, in all honesty I think we’d have been better off paying half the price for something at another furniture store and be okay with it falling apart in such a short amount of time.

Beautiful furniture that’s just so simple, but that little bit different. We bought their Nester Oak Dining Chair in bay blue, and the whole process from purchasing to receiving was seamless, and love them in our home! We’re even considering purchasing more. Would recommend

Icon by design has the most gorgeous of furniture available for purchase in Australia. Awesome customer service team who really do go the extra mile to deliver outcomes for customers. A+

If you have a keen eye for precision and finish, you'll notice a massive difference between Icon furniture and (say) Elm or Freedom. Looking for a tallboy the other sellers had rather "unstraight" looking affairs, with filler where wood was damaged pre packing. Plus American Oak is a much cleaner selection to competitors' "Basswood" - a form of swamp timber. While still made in China to remain affordable, the finish definitely meets local standards

I am delighted with my Magnus Oak table and Astrid Oak dining chairs. The timber is beautiful and the workmanship very high quality. It was very easy to order online and to assemble the table after a very prompt delivery.

Their price range is on the higher end but worth every single penny. Premium material, beautifully designed and well constructed. Will definitely come back.

We recently purchased the Franz Armchair and Footrest Stool to complement the Jolanda Office Desk and the Jonas Display Shelf that we had bought a couple of years ago.

Orders from Icon by Design, have always arrived on time and in good condition. Excellent quality, real value for money and looks fabulous in situ. I have had a very stressful 9 months purchasing furniture and homewares from a variety of online stores. Goods have often arrived very late or damaged or both and customer service has been mixed. How I wish they were all like Icon by Design

I have purchased a dinning table and six chairs. Good design and good quality furniture. Especially I had found a chair with a small crack on one leg after delivered, very quick response and solution from the support team, a new chair is delivered free of charge within a week. Prompt delivery service. Excellent customer service.

Post-purchase customer service from Icon is by far the best I’ve had - from any business. Even for products bought several years ago the customer care we continue to receive is well beyond expectations.
Just as impressive is the finish quality of all Icon pieces, they really are a level above, we love every piece!

We bought a chest of drawers from Icon because we liked the design - simple and classic. A small amount of liquid came off some flowers onto the top of the chest of drawers (in two places) and unfortunately white water marks appeared. Icon gave us some wipes that they said would remove the stains; they didn't. We haven't had any trouble with our dining room table, made by another company, that has been constantly exposed to liquids etc. This has dissuaded us buying from Icon again which is a shame as we like the look of their furniture. We would encourage Icon to do a better, nonporous finish to the tops of their furniture in future.

I can't recommend Icon By Design highly enough. We had fabulous in-store service from Beatriz, great follow-up on deliveries and the items are high quality and beautiful. We went into the store to buy one piece of furniture and purchased 3. Very happy customer.
