Harvey Norman Broadway reviews
79 Please do not buy Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra from Harvey Norman. I got my phone on 25th of Feb, and already I have issues with the camera, phone restarting and hanging. When I went to the store, one of the employees said that it is impossible that I can get this phone because the official release date is on March 3rd. When I asked them how did my phone arrive so soon, they did not have an answer and now they are asking me to wait until the phone is fixed. This is ridiculous. I cannot trust Harvey Norman anymore.
I will edit this review and regain the trust if I get the phone replaced.
Very helpful sales man Josè the best worker there, bought a laptop and he was very helpful and helped me pick the right one and wasn’t pushy at all and even set it up for me. Thankyou Jose your amazing at your job
Received the worst retail service ever in my life from this guy called Alex (the ginger bloke). He first was telling me to be careful don’t break the display product that I was inspecting cause I would have to pay for it if I break it, and said he will put the stuff back cause if he breaks it he can just send it back to manufacturer. He then tried to sell us full price for a floor stock product (last one left) without knowing it’s $50 cheaper on Harvey Normans website and said this product is so popular even if it’s floor stock he won’t give further discount and he said this is good as new never been touched before so we agreed on the price. He then sent us to cashier to pay and then we found out the product has a massive long black scratch at the back which we didn’t see and we asked if he can do a better price and we said it was also missing an important functional part and a box and manual. Without even negotiating or tried to find us the box and the missing part he literally just took the product away from the counter and said “I won’t sell this to you anymore” and literally just walked away. We were pretty shocked by this behaviour and asked his colleague to check if there’s actually no stock left, his colleague came back with him and he told us new stock arrives on Monday and we can come pick up. I asked if they do delivery and told us delivery would cost us $50, later while driving home my wife checked Harvey Normans website and delivery only costs $20. But he did went out and got us a trolley I guess that’s good effort of him, but it’s still so bad. You guys should send him to anger management class. Wasted my time coming all the way to broadway today.
Liked the helpfulness of staff who explained to us about food processors and bought an external drive at a good price.
Bunch of clowns work there. I called to ask a simple question - if they a phone case cover available in store as it was showing low on the site and between 2 guys they couldn't answer a simple request and kept asking me to confirm the brand and model type about 10 times. And after I kept repeating that I wanted the cover they kept checking the phone stock. JB Hifi is so much better with smarter staff!
Last year on 26/06/21 just as the second wave of the pandemic hit I was on the lookout for a new monitor to work from home. I was greeted by a few staff members, I responded that I was just browsing. I was approached by a younger team member and asked him some questions about a couple of monitors I was torn between.
One monitor was on sale and the other monitor of better quality was at full price.
After bouncing between products and the staff member showing me the specs of each item, I mentioned that I would be interested in buying the full priced item but was more inclined to settle for the one on sale. Just as I was mentioned that I'd take the monitor on sale the staff member then said,
"ahhh sorry this sale tag is outdated this monitor isn't actually on sale, sorry about that. "
Then took away the price tag to bait me into buy the more expensive monitor. After the poor selling technique I walked out.
I decided to write this review today because I just became aware of bait and switch pricing.
Giving the benefit of the doubt, products on sale should be confirmed and checked as part of opening the store each day.
Please be aware and do your product search before shopping here.
Staff were polite and approachable and a few were very helpful. One guy (Nino?) was eager to assist me/my friend when we enquired about electrical appliances such as air conditioners, etc. Haven't purchased anything from there yet but was happy with the service.
Super helpful sales guy. Very knowledgeable and listened to what I wanted. Also wheeled the TV I bought all the way out to my car in the car park.on Christmas Eve! It was fairly quiet, but still went out of his way regardless.
Came to buy an iphone and smart watch, had lo leave as staff keep ignoring us when we called them for help! 15 minutes waiting and nothing! Worst service everrrrrr!
Worst customer service ever! Came in with a good mind to purchase iPad, would like to ask regarding the price, but staffs (which are all around) but no one offered help. Tried to approach the girl in the counter (cashier), but she said she had no idea, just ask someone else. She called her colleague, a guy, and talked in (maybe) Indian/Nepal language. I asked the guy if the price is based on shown or not, and he answered me while walking away. (Hey, at least stop a moment when you talk to someone! It was not even 10 seconds) I felt being pushed away because probably they thought I did not look like someone who can purchase Apple products. I will never come back to this store. And Management please, it is not hard to train your staffs, at least to be nice to customers.
The worse service i never had before.
I order iphone on 23/9.still didn't receive my phone.are they been around the world first? Every 2 weeks have to chase up and say will be in two weeks.now almost 3 months hello!? Where the hell is my phone?
BEWARE - They sell USED PRODUCTS! They repackage returned items or repair broken ones and sell it to customers. Contact Fair Trading and Harvey Norman HQ immediately if you are a victim.
Bought a laptop. Friendly staffs & good service. Check the online site before you visit the showroom to see whether they have the electronic items you are looking for easy shopping.
Went in looking for a new set of appliances but, no one was able to assist me look for a matching set as everyone was either busy or talking to a customer.when i found what I needed the cashier said if i wanted a deal then i would need to talk to a shop asistant but followed through with a "otherwise its going to be full price for you"
Decided not to buy and decided to venture elsewhere
Asian man is rude and tries to take you for a fool. Every time i go to harvey norman ready to buy and make a purchase. He is not willing to even take a single dollar off any of the products i enquire about whether it costs 650 dollars or 3000 dollars. When i visit this harvey norman i am made to feel ashamed for having asked for a better price with him. I have a terrible experience every time and ever since I moved to broadway. Although one of the things i looked forward to the most was proximity to harvey norman i find myself feeling very anxious every time i enter the store. When i cisit the store and am approached by him i know i am going to have a terrible shopping experience. I have loved harvey norman since i was a child but I am no longer excited nor eager to go harvey norman after repeated encounters with this man. I have made multiple purchases elsewhere after having gone to harvey norman first fully prepared to walk out with a product. The fact that not even a single dollar is negotiable is a big slap on my face knowing the markups on premium electronics.
Worst experience. Got hustled by the store manager into buying small items I didn’t even realise were on the invoice, then pressured into purchasing items sight unseen under the guise that they would be returnable once delivered and seen, only to find out that $2500 worth of electronics weren’t how we imagined and can’t be returned due to the Harvey Norman delivery team taking the boxes with them after delivery. You’d think after spending $8000+ there’d be some level of customer care, but it seems that once they have your money, you’re no longer worth the time. I will be taking all future business elsewhere and I suggest you do too.
Great place to find all your appliances. They don't have everything out on the shop floor though so you may need to check online whilst in store
I'd say this store has a big inventory problem. I've placed an order on the website and recevied an email that the order would take 3 weeks to be ready to collect while delivery option takes 2-4 working days. I've contacted Harvey Norman to cancel my order but so far no response.
James from the computer IT department is a legend! He provided solutions for my computer needs.
Not the biggest Harvey Norman store but has the necessities. Always check website for stock as phone calls with staff not always reliable.
Customer service is average at best. As usual hovering for sales and not the best product knowledge. So do your own research.
Some sales people are rude and restless trying to close and pushing product care on anythingand everything - even a pen drive if they can. Most products have two years of warranty from manufacturers.so decide wisely.
All in all it is what it is. Average
