Harbour Radiology reviews
65Went in for an ultrasound. Facilities were clean and modern. All the staff were super friendly, especially my sonographers Yasmine and Mina (?). They were very thorough and accommodating. I highly recommend this place:)
I had a pregnancy ultrasound with male sonographer Mina who was so friendly, informative and reassuring. He took the time to explain everything on the screen and made the whole experience really positive. They were on time and efficient here. Big bonus to have in site free parking especially for the north Sydney CBD location which is convenient.
I had a positive experience from start to end.
Ladies at the reception were nice and friendly.
Howard who did my CT scan and X-ray was very caring, patient and helpful. He helped me a lot with the scans as I was in pain.
Arrived for x-ray appointment on Monday morning and waited until 30 minutes after the appointment time to be called. Then the technician told me the machine was not working, and I spent another 30 minutes waiting whilst they tried to fix it, to no avail. Including walking there and back, almost 2 hours of my time wasted. Thought I'd give them a second chance, so called up mid-week to check machine was fixed and rebook. Just turned up for my new appointment to be told machine was broken again. Didn't receive a phone call to warn me (although they did say it had just happened). Whoever is managing this operation is doing a poor job. Either replace the machine with one more reliable or get a back up. In the meantime I recommend people go elsewhere or risk wasting your time too. I certainly won't ever be going back.
I had a pregnancy ultrasound about 2 years ago. Decided to write a review now due to having to find a place to book my second pregnancy ultrasound. I had a horrible experience! My partner and I did not get a nice greeting, didn’t ask for either of our names. Didn’t include my partner once acted as if he was not even in the room! I had a few questions got blunt answers! As a young mum I felt judged, uncomfortable and I felt as if all the excitement I had leading up to going in vanished! Oh and they got my whole name wrong on my ultrasound.whilst the receptionist was putting my name down she had my ID.how hard is it to read and write a name!
Overall horrible experience!
Efficient service, very comfortable facilities, friendly and accommodating staff. I have visited Harbour Radiology multiple times, with great satisfaction, for x-ray, ultrasound and MRI studies. I will continue to visit them in the future.
I absolutely love this place and service. Skilled, knowledgeable and professional to say the least.thanks guys
I had an MRI of my spine done here. This practice had by far the best pricing! Very affordable and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I was pretty nervous getting an MRI and the technician was able to put me at ease and walk me through the process. I will be going back here for all my scans!
The sonographer was rude and I cried during and after.
I needed a pelvic ultrasound scan quickly and the receptionist booked me in within half an hour, promising they could get my referral sorted as long as I got there on time. As soon as I got there, they asked where my referral was. I called my GP who said they had already told Harbour Radiology they could not get a referral to them within half an hour and they should not have booked me in. I had to go home and come back in the next week.
Again, the receptionist promised she would get a referral for me. Again, I showed up and she asked where it was. I have a lovely GP who sent me a copy so I was able to forward it. After that, the sonographer showed up and was extremely snippy. No friendly conversation or kind words. I understand she was doing her job but I am only 22, was on my own, just had surgery for endometriosis and been through a lot of pain in the last year. She accused me of not drinking enough water when I had drunk 1 litre prior. She said I would need an internal examination. I am still bleeding at this point and said it might make me uncomfortable. She continued to be rude and snippy and we went round in circles for a bit (all I wanted to do was ask her if it was ok to get one when I was bleeding). She performed the internal examination (which is quite invasive and a few kind words would have been appreciated). I was so rattled by the whole scenario I was crying a bit while on my back. She told me to get dressed, and then didn't knock to make sure I was dressed when I came back in.
As a young woman with uterus problems, this was the worst possible way to handle a situation. I was crying a lot after and I should not have had to go through this. Will not be returning and recommend noone to go here for an ultrasound.
I had a pelvic ultrasound a number of months ago now and was recently telling my partner about how awful my experience was. The woman doing my ultrasound was rude and abrupt the entire session and acted visibly annoyed towards me for no apparent reason. She did not tell me whether she had finished the examination at the end (I wasn't sure if she would have questions or tell me further instructions for the receptionist) and she told me to get changed quickly. I felt flustered as I went to put my clothes on and she opened the door to the hallway where I saw at least to staff walk past and see me without half of my clothes on. Will not return.
I had a great experience today at Harbourside North Sydney. The staff including technicians and receptionist were very professional and efficient and my report was issued just before my doctor's appointment. I highly recommend this facility for MRI.
Had a right shoulder injury and came to this place for the ultrasound, good that it is bulk billing, however I was late for my appointment, the lady who did my ultrasound therefor was really rushing through it. She did it in just 5 minutes. I told her the parts that I had pain and asked if she need to scan these area but she just ignore it and get it done with with the front part of the shoulder.
Everyone's experiences are different in these places. I have visited 4 times in the last 2 years. Never disappointed. Once I was referred for Ultrasound for my left shoulder, they did ultrasound and X-ray as well to get the actual status of the injury. Recently I was referred for Xray (4 sides images) of the neck. They took additional images while turning the head to get a detailed report. I have experienced that they make an the extra mile to diagnose the injury. An additional benefit of Bulk billing and patients can retrieve their reports by creating an easy online account.
The Sonographer who did the ultrasound of the right foot mentioned the other foot needs to be done as per the referral form.
So I make in an appointment and when I go there, they tell me that the Sonographer decided it wasn't needed as she misread the referral form. They dint have the courtesy to call and inform me about it.
Each receptionist gives different answers when asked about the ultrasound results.
Only good thing is that the practice Bulk bills and has good facility.
I had a CT Angiogram at the North Sydney rooms yesterday. I was very nervous having had a terrible reaction the last time I'd one (at another place). All the staff were very caring and listened to my concerns and were able to offer solutions. It was all over in no time and I'm happy to say that I had no reaction this time! Would highly recommend Harbour Radiology.
Due to unfortunate circumstances I’ve had to use their services twice over the last three years, and each time it was cordial and professional experience.
Staff very friendly and efficient and professional. I got my scanning done on time and everything went seemlessly. The practice was clean, and availability of privacy change curtain and security locker made my scanning experience excellent
They are extremely professional and never leave you hanging past your appointment time. Staff are great
I just had my dating scan there and I had the worst experience ever. Alison was passive aggressive to me the whole time telling me off for not having enough water in my bladder. Although I had drank 1.5 liters prior the appointment. I am 8 weeks pregnant and was there with my partner and 10 yo daughter who also thought she was horrible. When I asked a question she was annoyed at me. Pushing the scanner into my stomach so I was cringing from pain. After the appointment I just sat outside and cried because of my horrible experience.
The only positives of this place are - it’s bulk billed and the facilities are nice. So if you get a different specialist you might have more luck than us.
This radiology service which is a private stand alone enterprise (2 locations - North Sydney and Mosman) offers superb service to its patients. From very friendly and helpful reception staff to highly trained and empathetic practitioners who are skilled and friendly the experience is reassuring. I can without hesitation recommend this radiology practice. Fees are also very reasonable.
