Update: They gotta fix their inventory management. Sells out of stock items and doesnt respond to emails.

Mailed to ask if they had it in stock. Got a reply that its in backorder and i upgraded my order to HC110.

Emailed next day to ask for tracking details, and i got the courier even before the email reply

Georges Cameras has been a pleasure to deal with. In their most busy period, just before Christmas, they took the time to assist with flexibility and cooperation to get the ordered gear to its destination on time! I am very impressed and grateful. This is customer service at its best.

I went into Georges today to buy a new camera and lens and I was lucky enough to be served by Marty who was so helpful, friendly and professional. Buying new gear can be daunting but Marty made it easy as he was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions which helped me to feel confident with my purchases. Highly recommend this store with their great product range, competitive prices and excellent staff.

I pre-ordered with a $1000 deposit, one of the most sought after Cameras on the 30th October. Nikon held back release date to Xmas Eve and on the 16th December was advised that I was 15th, in a queue of 25 units they were to receive.
I had hoped my unit would have been sent on the 24th and be in the delivery system over the long weekend.
Imagine my surprise when I received an email on the 22nd saying my unit had been picked up at 6pm and was in transit.
So ecstatic the next morning that my parcel was in Brisbane at 1.18 and should be delivered by 24th. Whoopee!
I paid the very cheap $19.95 Fixed Express Shipping (1-2 days) and then received email at 9.30 from StarTrack saying it would be delivered today the 23rd.
40 minutes later at 10.10, my parcel was delivered to my front door.
6pm DST pick-up and 17 hours and 10 minutes later my parcel had travelled from the middle of downtown Sydney and arrived at Nambour on the Sunshine Coast Qld.
Excellent customer service and fantastic work by Startrack.

I've had good experiences shopping here, they price match and are usually pretty helpful and knowledgable. I agree the stock situation on their online store is an issue and hope they stop selling items they have on back-order, but that said I do like this place and tend to buy most of my gear from them now. I have received poor advice from other camera stores in the past, which is why I prefer Georges now.

Been a customer here for years. Waited on an order for 7 months that they couldn’t manage to even refund after several attempts. Customer service skills are to be desired. Will shop else where from now on.

Bought a lens that was "in stock" online on 4th Dec. Never heard anything for 2 weeks, live chat an agent who then tells me it is now out of stock with no ETA, advised that they were "about to email me" (I have not received said email). Waited few more weeks, live chat them and they claim I could receive it by the end of Dec and they were about to send out an email to me (which I also never received). Waited till the end of Dec, no lens at my door yet. Live chat them and now they say my lens ETA is Jan! FFFFFfff. And now the live chat consultant is IGNORING me. Will I get my lens or not? I've waited nearly a month with no updates unless I badger them

These people cannot be trusted.
They take your money for goods that they do not have.
I was never advised that they do not have stock when they took my $12,227.00 dollars.
Five weeks later I am still getting the same BS.
They are still advertising this camera even though they don't have one.
Very shonky.

I paid $15.95 for priority delivery but my order has been posted 14 days after I made the order. If I had of known it would take this long I would have cancelled the order. Either be honest about stock levels or don't rip off customers.

Always received good products and good service if sometimes a bit slow but the website is one of the most unusable poorly designed things I've ever encountered

Been looking for quiet sometime to get Atem Mini for my church and Thank you for Tafa who serve me during the purchase. It was nice and quick and luckily George's had stock and asked for store pick up.

Thank you to Marty for helping me with my purchase of my first DSLR camera. He helped set it up and even did the wraps so it could it fit my neck comfortably. Absolutely amazing customer service.

At first I was a bit put off because although I was able to place an order, after a few days with no notification that my lens (Sigma 150 -600 for Canon) was not going to be available for maybe over a month. FRom what I have seen since, this common practice among the photography shops online. I cancelled the order.
Then I found that the lens was just not available in Australia, so I reinstated the order. These actions were very smoothly handled. I have now seen that Georges have notified in very clear red banner if an item is not available, instead of the quiet little "Check store before ordering". So that's worth a star! They have taken notice. Anyway, time passed and I found a place that confirmed via email that they had the lens in store right then. I.cancelled my order with Georges, with no complaint from them, over the phone.

Then I tried to ring the other store and all their lines were out of use. A little warning started flasing. I immediately rang Georges back to stop the cancellation. It had already gone through. This was less than 5 minutes. However was all fixed by Hieu, who was very patient with me through all my dodging back and forth and said he would try very hard to land me a lens, even reinstating my position in the queue. They were being made available in lots of 5 or so.

So even though I was a oscillating pest. I had a very good buying experience.

Today my lens arrived, earlier than Hieu hoped.
