If there was a 0 star option, I would choose that! I just had a HORRIBLE buying experience from George's Camera, they put up the wrong price online and after I completed the order and transaction, they called and ask me to pay $2000 MORE!? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! So they made a mistake and it is 100% THEIR FAULT and they didn't even have us a discount? After we discussed about it, they will refund my money BUT, and heres a big BUT, they are holding more than $2000 of my money and my dream lens won't ever arrive. I am more than disappointed with this STORE!

I just bought my dream lens online and Kevin, who I called, was super helpful about it and he was very friendly as well. He helped me a lot to solve my problem with the payment and completing the order and get it as soon as possible. He is an amazing guy!

I recently purchased a camera lens from this Georges Camera and I couldn't be happier with their customer service from Emmy Etie. She were extremely knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect lens for my needs. The shipping was prompt and the lens arrived in perfect condition. Highly recommended! Thank you Emmy.

Kevin was exceptionally quick and helpful over the text support. I thought for a second he was AI because of how quick he retrieved info for me like the shutter count and condition on a piece of second hand gear he was helping me find out more about.

Good price, but slow notification on shipping. Ordered Sunday, called Tuesday to check status, recieved tracking number Wednesday - not the correct number so who knows whats going on - I dont.

Bunch of student types working at the store who stand around socializing with their friends and act like they are doing you a favour when they serve you.
Fletcher (the gentleman who served me) was particularly rude in a series of emails and this only escalated in person when I complained about the lack of communication about my online order and he went on to offer me an (unprompted) refund in an effort to be sarcastic and get rid of me. I never asked for a refund. I never wanted a refund. What I wanted was to be listened to but he just spoke over me and was extremely defensive.
Well, his efforts are duly noted and I definitely will not support this store again.
There is a reason that high street camera stores are basically over and done with and the Amazons of the world are taking over and it’s definitely not because of better pricing. Fletcher, however doesn’t care, because he will resign and move on to a job that is better paid and the only person who will be worse off is the owner of this establishment.
“George’s, since 1981” - but for how much longer?

I've tried all their methods of getting in contact and so far have not had a response from them. Bought a lens from over over a week ago and still haven't received it. Phoned three times and got to position 1 on their phone line every time and was cut off. Sent emails and tried using their bot chat to no avail. Not a very happy customer at all. It appears that once they have your money then they won't answer you so you can't get any service or a refund. No customer service whatsoever.

8/1/22 My battery swelled and stuck in my camera.
The friendly staff Martin kindly helped me take it out for free and gave me useful suggestions about it.

Have purchased several camera products here before, price is reasonable and service here is good. Highly recommended

Georges Camera seriously provides the best customer service! On multiple occasions, I had to make urgent purchases for my company's non-for-profit foundation. They supported our cause by giving us the best price and also made sure that our goods are all delivered on time.

Really great! I've bought almost all of my camera gear here and the helpful staff have always been a delight. They were able to explain the pros and cons of each camera/lens without trying to upsell or encourage you to spend more than you wanted to. With their sales their prices are near impossible to beat and even their regular prices are reasonably competitive

Excellent Service

One thing that I would like to note is that the website does not indicate live stock availability/update since the website doesn’t indicate that its always a good idea to call or chat online to find out stock availability.

I had placed number of orders and due to the current shipping and lockdown situation there were a few stock complications, but again I’ve gotta say a big THANKS to Tafa (from online chat support) for substituting the items ordered to a superior product with no price change.

Highly recommend this store. Good range of products, competitive pricing and great service

Above all Tafa is an absolute Legend!

My phone was out of battery, so I asked to sign-in due to Covid concerns and State rules/law. I was told not to worry about it.
I wore a mask, but a few staff, including the young man who served me, did not.

Always love a store with competitive pricing & is willing to negotiate on top, great service is a bonus. Big thanks to Michael, Kyle & Kathy for their customer care. As others mentioned they don't necessarily seem to have all the items on their website in stock, so would be a good idea to call and check if you need something quickly.

Call to check stock before ordering!

Like many low reviews here, caught out by the website saying stocked, only to find out massive back order. I was able to get my refund a week later with the great help of Bonni.
