Not even sure where to start. We had a large family party with multiple villas we booked months in advance and specifically requested to be close together. Not sure they could have put us further apart. Rooms were not ready at check-in time. There were no spare blankets in the rooms. The private room we booked for dinner was awful, I think it may have been a conference room? The one good thing was the food and drinks were great. Breakfast the next morning though was abysmal. Half the orders were wrong. The one order for toast and Vegemite arrived with a piece of toast that was mostly a crust with a giant air bubble hole hidden under a whole piece. Absolutely disgusting, not a care given. And goodness me do not order the scrambled eggs! I have no idea what they put in them but they were inedible. How do you get it all so wrong? We  used to come for all our big family events, we will not be back.

This is outrageous. This hotel has zero respect and care to customers and zero care factor for STEALING MY MONEY! 6 weeks on and I am STILL WAITING ON A REFUND OF $1800 I was charged twice for accomodation! This is stealing! Sort your internal issues out yourself and give me my money back! No response to emails! No ownership of mistakes! Zero
Care or professionalism. I am sick of waiting for my money back and on to my lawyers. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

For the price you pay for these appartments. I thought they need a little bit of an update. The rooms are spacious although I think the beds were hard. Sizeable area in lounge room and kitchen area. The grounds are very close to the golf course and lovely and green

Our room was very tired looking and needed a clean, and not a lot of parking close to our room. Disappointing with the day spa, had made a booking months ago and they cancelled our booking on the day of our arrival with no suitable alternative given.

We are in one of the villas. Quite, relaxing, beautiful views. Staff are friendly and helpful. We recommend staying here.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with another couple and had a king bed in each bedroom. Service was excellent from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The food and the service in the restaurant was also excellent with a variety of menu choices from breakfast through to dinner. I would stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Outside rooms are extremely old and the one I had smelt quite damp. Staying inside the main building is the way to go. Loved seeing the addition of the kids water park.

6 of us go up every year and we're never disappointed. This time we had an early check in to accommodate our early tour. The rooms are also spacious and cosy. However, the new lounges did not fit us and were uncomfortable BUT the staff sorted us out! They delivered another double lounge so it was perfect. Nothing is ever a problem. We love staying here year after year!

Absolutely disgraceful internal communication, failed confidence.

I enquired about a large extra group booking for a conference on a Friday, followed up the proposal on the Monday, received the proposal Monday afternoon, reviewed the proposal Monday afternoon & spoke to contact on the Tuesday morning to discuss rates & left a message then followed up with an email Tuesday late afternoon.

Tuesday evening I was emailed advising the dates for the conference were no longer available. I was advised in the email that they "read availability wrong last week or another group has booked in between"

I rang Tuesday night following and left another message.

I followed up via phone first thing Wednesday morning, to be told unfortunately the same information. When I questioned why only 48hrs after the proposal was sent, was the proposed tentative booking not in the system or on hold, she "laughed" and continued to say they can not hold bookings, as they take multiple enquiries per day. I continued to say that my enquiry was within 48hrs and we were at the negotiating stage of securing the venue. She said there was nothing they could do about it.

This customer service is disgraceful, the attitude and approach has left a bitter taste and truth be told I will never use this venue for personal or professional bookings in future. If you want to be laughed at, treated with unsatisfactory customer service and booking incompetency, I would stay clear.

Such a shame as their sister venue in the Hawkesbury Valley were expectational.

Sad loss of over 100K!

Only hotel in the hunter that’s mainstream. Minimal ammenities but large golf course. If you’re from Sydney, don’t expect the same service, cleaning of room is dismal, no clean towels and sinks and bar area never cleaned, probably better to find a small boutique hotel or B&B. Still, central and easy to access the Hunter if you have a car.

What a great place to stay for a quick getaway. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day little holiday there. Nice breakfast. Downstairs has a bar with meals for lunch and dinner, bit like pub meals and coffee/tea. Only 10 minutes from town where you can get anything from Coles/Woolies/Big W etc. Will definitely come again.

The Crowne Plaza Team were all amazing and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay! Definitely recommend a round of Golf while you are there too!

A week before our wedding, ourselves and our guests accommodation at The Oaks had been cancelled due to a booking error. Crown was wonderful in helping with all our last minute needs for our guests as well as my partner and I. The room was spacious, well equipped and modern. There were plenty of great activities to do while at Crown and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Would highly recommend to stay at the Crown when visiting the Hunter Valley.

I booked this venue for my 60th birthday. Everything about the function was well planned and went off without a hitch. But the accommodation was not up to what I expected. We were upgraded to a villa which was a pleasant surprise but it was ordinary in my opinion. The lighting was so poor that it was almost impossible to put make-up on. They were poorly placed and such a low wattage that they were just about usless. Our room wasn't tidied until late afternoon which is also annoying.

Thank you Vignesh. The exceptional customer service and generosity will definitely make us drive up to Crowne again.
My little one still is talking about you saying the sweet uncle was nice to give me a Froggie.
Immaculate hotel, Friendly staff, clean and inviting amenities. Both thumbs Up. Recommended for families with Kids. Pool area is nice and the kids water themed park is just amazing.

Beautiful place to stay with family. Furniture were a bit older style but depends on your taste I guess. There is a big swimming pool which gets very busy on a hot day and usually filled with small children. But there is the heaven pool where there are no children allowed, more of a relaxing romantic type pool to get away from the noisy children!

There is a gym with a good collection of equipment. Play room for kids and adults to have fun (racing cars, shooting games, pinball etc. There is a ping pong table to have some fun too.

At night if you have a clear sky, you can have a look at the star. There is not much light pollution so beautiful sky to enjoy.

Went to the event about Science for kids. Basically a workshop on how to make slime, and a side of the 'elephant toothpaste' experiment which did not work. Still, the kids had more or less a good time.but I would have expected a little more. We went to the Lovedale restaurant next to the pool for lunch afterwards, and here is where I was the most disappointed. There was almost no correlation between the high prices for food and its quality. The root soup could have used at least a bit of parmesan on top, and the original Lovedale burger was very sub par. At 26 dollars I was definitely expecting much more than greasy chips, an overcooked and dry patty, and a bun similar to the ones you get at discount price in a supermarket.

My fiancé and I stayed here for my birthday midweek. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The facilities are well kept as there is a large pool (towels provided), golf course and gym. There are two options for lunch and dinner between the more expensive RedSalt restaurant and the laid back Lovedale Bar. As we went midweek it wasn’t too busy, but I imagine it can get busy at the weekends/holidays! Having all the amenities within reach is handy when you are drinking in at the vineyards. The buffet breakfast has lots of options but is on the expensive side at $39 per head.
