Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley

Ridges Resort Hunter Valley disappoints in its gaming setup, which is managed by third-party companies. The resort absolves itself of any responsibility for issues that may arise, offering no clear display of notices regarding these third-party operations. In case of complaints, the resort fails to address concerns directly, opting instead to hand out a generic flyer, leaving guests feeling disregarded and unsupported in their grievances. This lack of accountability and transparency in managing gaming-related issues diminishes the overall experience for patrons.

If you want to get a room card for any of the rooms at this resort all you need is the person's name and phone number and they will hand you the card no ID or anything else needed. Terrible security.

Be prepared to spend $20 for a drink and be made to feel like they're doing you a favour by serving you.

Dead bugs and cockroaches all over the room. I had to run around the whole villa and pick them all up and Throw them out because my son kept picking them up. 16 dead bugs total just downstairs.

Forgot my medication in the kitchen cupboard, called them within hours of checking out to let them know. They confirmed someone would check and send it back by mail. No one followed up for a week. I called them to follow up, they didn't know what I was talking about and said nothing was found or reported. No one would check the room and that was that it was gone. Asked to speak to a manager and was told that the manager would tell me the same thing. Someone had a good weekend with my medication because it was there 110%. But the cleaners couldn't find it apparently.

I recommend that place. You can do everything what you want. Wind, food and your children activity.

Wow where do I start. What an amazing experience we had. Stayed with my family (2 kids) in a double queen room.

Rooms were clean, facilities were kid friendly with heaps of activities and located in a great spot close to all the main attractions of the hunter.

Pool is really good for kids and adults.

Hands down though was how good the staff were. Every member who worked there was soo friendly, catering and went above and beyond. My wife has coeliac and they truly made her experience memorable.

Biggest thank you is to Mel who was at the entrance and the red salt team (13/12) who just finished off our stay with a bang. Mel's quick thinking with helping surprise my wife with some friends visiting was beyond words. Thank you soo much Mel. You said you have only be there a short time but you made it look like you have been there for years. Truly deserve reward and recognition.

Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone.

Pleasant stay, apart from one staff member the whole experience was great. Would recommend.

My stay at Rydges was very enjoyable as the staff were friendly, the amenities were quite good and the buffet breakfast was exceptional. The golf course at Rydges is a good beginner course with multiple water features. The villa I stayed in was clean and tidy however it did lack a smart tv. Rydges is a good place to stay if you are a young family.

Wow! This place is huge, clean and great value for money. Perfect for family get ways as villas are stocked with everything you need. The grounds are huge!
Parking is right outside from where you stay and it’s free. I have really fallen in love with this place. The 2 bedroom villa is so great. Staff are happy and really accommodating.
A really peaceful or lively place, as you can go to either Pool A for the kids water park or Pool B for the adults only private pool, where it’s quiet and perfect for some RnR.

The party was going on in the conference room and the music was too loud. My room windows were vibrating because of that. Made a complaint to the front staff, and they didn't really care.

Should be a law against doubling your prices for rooms during pandemic. Not like a food place that has limited people it can take. Greedy

I couldn't even book a room with a early check-in for a wedding what a joke some of those stars should come of

Disappointing, I paid a premium price for a
room that looked onto the carpark and wasn't cleaned properly.

My only negative was at the Northcott NBIS event.
The fist night movie night the food was cold. Yes it was a cold night outdoors, I understand. Other than that all was great.

I booked this hotel for a night stay on 23th june- 24th June. On 23rd 4 pm nsw gov put restrictions so I left hotel without staying for a night! I asked them for refund they didn’t refunded, how is it my fault if government put restrictions? They didn’t understand at all, I’m traveler and to be honest I will never ever refer family and friends to Crowne plaza all over the world

The hotel was absolutely perfect upset from some staff members were a little bit rude and abrupt, other then that everything was lovely, the room was perfect along with the food.

I stayed at Crowne Plaza over a long weekend and it was a great place to stay however I feel the experience could be made much better with a few modifications to it's villas and townhouse style stay. First and foremost I think they could improve the services inside the unit by including a dustpan, extra rubbish bags, paper wipes, Teflon pans and more. The stovetop labels had been worn out and we couldnt tell which way is on or off. On another note, we went there to stay two nights for a special occasion and wanted to book the redsalt restaurant, tried to call them on day 1 and they didnt answer multiple times. When I finally got through they said they were fully booked two days in advance and they couldn't book us into anything. We were not warned about this despite telling reception thats what I intend to do. The pools are not heated (we were told by reception) so dont count on swiming on a sunny 18 degree day as the water is very cold, so we ended up wanting to train at their gym, but that needs some work and maintenance. Finally, the room service for the villas is non existent unless you intend to pay a 60 dollar fee. The problem with that is that if your staying more than 2 or 3 days then you will need to pay because room supplies will run short, towels will need a change and so will linen. I think there's room for improvement, but the accomdation is good and central to some of the places in the hunter region.

What a team, this place ran like a well oiled machine! Nothing was a problem, immaculately clean room and facilities, food was delicious, I could go on forever. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a perfect weekend!

We have been here a couple of times and never disappoints. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Accomodation is very comfortable and clean.

Unprofessional, nothing but issues when booked stay. When we arrived more problems occurred when checking in as they requested payment, but payment had already been made earlier that week upon their request. The rooms cleanliness was disgusting! Outside and inside. The air conditioning vents were filthy and mouldy. Room keys did not work that were given. Just really disappointed with how we were treated.

Friendly staff and it’s always been a pleasure to stay at Crowne Plaza.
