Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley reviews
84Beautiful grounds. Haven't stayed here but rather used a ballroom to rd a work function and everything was lovely
We had an amazing experience with Cloud9 and the staff were very experienced and friendly. The whole experience was so surreal and views were on point (at one point, the moon and sun were out at the same time with one side of the sky being purple and the other orange). Started off very chilly in the morning so best to dress warm but once you're up in the air the heat from the flames will keep you nice and toasty
Beautiful grounds. Friendly and attentive staff both at the reception and at breakfast service in the Gazebo. The executive suite is spacious and clean with stunning views although furnishings are outdated and could do with an update. Buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. Overall a lovely stay. The only issue was the air conditioning unit in the bedroom can be noisy for a light sleeper and the bedroom window faces the hallway hence some foot traffic noise at night.
Well we came here to the crown valley Hawkesbury valley for a celebration. Staff fabulous very friendly and nice, Breakfast fabulous. Rooms old dated small and drab really surprised to see as I’ve never seen rooms like this in this kind of caliber of a hotel. AnywAy it’s true. Pool old dated and gym old dated not nice won’t be back here to this plCe. A big disappointment. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS Place
Have my wedding booked in for august 2019. Such a stunning place, delicious food and awesome service!
One of THE best places to eat, stay and chill out - a superb location and very special part of the world indeed!
We stayed for two nights on the way to Canberra. Very good service, good double bed not two singles. Friendly and helpful staff, good range for breakfast. Would stay here again.
Amazing friendly staff that every hotel should strive to be like your establishment keep up the amazing work!
Considering this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, I was less than impressed with a lot of little things such as, room size, room cleaning (really not done well), lighting in the small bathroom made it hard to see particularly in the shower. Breakfast in the breakfast room (over 20 mins wait for an omelette, 2 days in a row! And one of the days there was only 2 of us waiting for omelette), coffee to go (asked for a extra large, extra hot and got a warm less than half full in a takeaway cup). Meals in bar and dining room were okay but a little expensive for what they were but that is to be expected.
The best service we received was from Julie at reception a most wonderful lady who was exceptional in what she did, they are lucky to have her! My rating 2-3star max.
I came here for a wedding great venue and lovely backdrop. The service was fantastic and the ballroom beautiful. The rood I had was very impressive well appointed and plenty of room. The bed was great. Very impressed with the breakfast in the morning with many options and healthy options to for juices etc not just fruits. Would definitely stay here again.
Very poor service in reception, restaurant and at breakfast. Just under staffed and too busy. Which has made some of the staff quite rude. Buffet breakfast with no egg, bacon, toast, juice, bread and a 30 min wait on coffee. Room service the only alternative. Rooms old and run down. Broken windows, tangled cords no charging power points. Very thin walls. Absolutley beautiful location though. Keep being told they are doing refurb soon. Dont come before then.
Service was friendly, and the restaraunts had a variety of different foods to select from.
The rooms were quite dated, the plastic shutters were a very noticeably odd addition, the bathroom was quite small and had low ceilings.
Pleasant staff with a good atmosphere. Breakfast bar great food. Disappointed in the room for the price! With all the stairs i needed to climb with luggage, no flie screens on windows and windows didn't 0pen much, A/C hasn't been cleaned for a longtime.
A perfect venue for a family wedding.the staff are amazing and the food great.the set up is lovely and so convenient for guests travelling from all over the world. I felt the small rooms were not of a high standard. The walls are paper thin. The Bathroom so tiny you could barely move, the bed is of poor quality and the carpets are manky, smelly and stained. However its the grounds that we came here for and they were excellent.
Staff where totally unhelpful when there was a mix up with my company's payment method. On check out I was asked to pay for my room which my company had suppield.
After saying that I was not paying, the staff member 'searched' on my account record and said he had found the company chargeback.
6 hours later my personal credit card was nearly $1000 AUD. I called the hotel and was told I would be sent an invoice and that they could not help me.
If the staff member on check out had done his job properly I could have fixed any issues during business hours on Friday. Now my frist weekend home in three weeks is totally ruined thanks to Crown Plaza.
Do not stay at this hotel.
Good resoet, especially after IHG took over - there has been a few upgrades too. Good for function and family holiday.
Just bliss! We went for a romantic weekend away. We chose the suite with King size bed and corner spa, and breakfast included.
Pros
It was a spacious room. Cleaner than average. The reception / housekeeping / room service was all a share number, but they were always quick to respond, and extra friendly and generous. The staff were professional but friendly and unpretentious, happily offering us bottled water after a walk, and finding us bath bombs for the spa. The gym had quite new equipment and was well equipped and spacious. The room had its own individual air conditioner, so you had to remmeber to turn it on. Dressing gowns included.
The hotel is set on beautiful grounds with lawns, a pond and fountain.
Top notch buffet breakfast. I wouldn't pay the premium for it, but we got it free.
I suggest becoming a member for free before booking, for immediately discounted rates.
Cons
The only window coverings were block out blinds, no sheers. The walk to reception included some outdoor areas. Some rooms faced right onto an outdoor corridor. This was pretty cold in Winter. It drops to minus 3 overnight. The staff advised how to remove ice form our windscreen if needed!
The room service was ok. I think there was a single shared kitchen for the fine dining restaurant, casual dining bar and room service menu. The bar was a bit full, and we ended up seated near a family playing a never ending game of pool.
There's an independent day spa on site, though prices could not compete with beauty and massage services available in the town centre.
I would definitely come back again. A weekend wasn't long enough.
Staff are great except for one girl at breakfast. Rooms are looking a little tired and pictures on wall have been attached croaked. Some bleach in the bathroom might help also.
The place is magical and so relaxing.the girls did a great job for my daughter and myself.mummy daughter day
We just wanted to say that Taylor the lovely bubbly
Lady who served us this morning at buffet breakfast was fantastic. She welcomed us, showed us what to do, took our coffee orders. Never complained. Taylor is the definition of fantastic customer service and everyone should follow and learn from her. Unfortunately these days there’s not many places that can proudly say they have great customer service and therefore we had to make sure it was known! Food was great too btw. Thank you for a great experience Taylor!
