Civic Theatre reviews
80Some people need to learn to listen to the show and not be rude and laugh even before a comedian says a joke. The people behind where we sitting were incredibly rude, all the people sitting in front of them ALL move away from them including us.
Plahouse. An intimate space with a lift.wheelchairs folk seated up the back but only about 6 rows. Friendly helpful staff 100% on the day.
I absolutely love this building its sooo rich in history stunning building great service very well ran clean toilets all round brilliant
Gorgeous old world glamour, great venue!
The only downside is they made us pour our champagne into plastic cups to take them into the theatre. But we survived
Great theatre - just cannot get a park anywhere close these days.dangerous walk to car for wife and kids.
Jimmy Barnes was amazing (as always) the civic theatre gives excelent customer service thankyou for a lovely night.
The Good Times show tonight 7th June 2018 was absolutely fabulous. We love the Civic Theatre well done. It was a blast from the past. Nothing like a live show it was full of fun & great songs and can't wait for the next one x Russell Morris your a legend All of you just made our night & very talented cast. Love Robyn & Peter Jackson
This beautiful old theatre did us proud when hosting the Nutcracker on Friday. The Ballet was spectacularly managed to cater for the compact stage area. Thoroughly impressive performance. Renee
A good theatre where you can sit anywhere and still enjoy the show. There is always a variety of different shows to see, always of high quality. I have never been disappointed.
Great venue and atmosphere, staff are friendly but more training is needed. More variety of bervages would be appreciated.
All in all I had a great time at the comedy festival.
Good productions and beautiful theatre, but the slope of the ground seats is way too shallow. Unless you're tall you'll always be peering over someone's head.
A great show tonight, seeing Jimmy Carr. Definitely recommend.
The venue and the staff were very helpful and made it a great night.
This place is beautiful very old but amazing. Went up from Melbourne to see Rockwiz again with my sister.
Here for the Celtic Woman concert. Lovely art deco theatre. Good sound. Performance was good enough.
A long queue for a tiny bottle of expensive water and a narrow door to the men's room. My previous visit to the balcony seats provided great air conditioning, this time in the stalls and it was almost hot enough to melt steel. GREAT show though. Always getting good names on stage.
Located in the heart of Newcastle City Centre the theatre is well served by public transport, the theatre offers great viewing positions in the stall or the balcony. The interior is richly decorated, just be sure to arrive early enough to beat the queues for the bars
Disappointed that the bar was only open until half time, would be nice to take alcoholic drinks into the theatre, even if it's in a plastic cup.
Always a great venue. Historical old lady theatre. Atmosphere wonderful.great sound Though their wine is not great
No standing at a rock concert, either bad choice by promoter or ridiculous rule spoiling the fun of their customers
