68Cool looking exhibit hall. Unfortunately, we weren't during the week and there wasn't much to see.
I came here for The Big Design Market held on 13-15, October with over 200 designers and makers displaying and selling their unique products ranging from ceramics, jewellry, art prints, clothing to cocktails, local wines, baked goods to Japanese inspired salads. There are many food and drink stalls to choose from for your snack. Toilets are accessible on site. Great art and culture exploring and shopping experience!
Great staff always make you welcome
Contemporary art & performance
with markets & bar throwen in
Great market! Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney on a Saturday morning. Plenty of seating, great food options and amazing coffee!
Great functional space. It's great to see such places repurposed instead of going to waste. The farmers market has some amazing produce.
The farmers markets are great!
Great stalls and food.
The kimchi and sauerkraut stall is amazing as are the flower stalls
2021 Xmas Food Market. Beautiful food stalls, jams, dips, fresh veg, chocolate, wines, rums, tea, bread, flowers, eggs, pork, vegan stall, crepe stall & few craft/gift stalls.
Not much on during this visit but a great venue. Have been here many times for art exhibitions, and performances of many kinds (and the Saturday farmers market). Always enjoy the visit.
Great venue for experimental art! Gallery, theatre big open foyer for multi disciplinary experiences!
The Neapolitan pizza was one of the best I've had. Rich flavours from both the sauce and cheese. Unfortunately other pizzas don't hold up as well.
Amazing place for festivals! I’ve been attending fashion week here every year and it’s been great! I still need to attend Carriageworks for other events and festivals too. There are lots of parking around but it can get tricky if there are heaps of people around. Most parking spaces are for a short time, if you’re lucky you can find one that doesn’t have any limit.
A very nice arts centre with lots going on! So much going on, it's hard to keep track of what's on! Huge spaces that were used for train workshops, the ceilings and the industrial equipment on there are art works by themselves.
Very interesting, went to the Saturday market and was pleasantly surprised. Great vendors and verious trades.
Had been meaning to go for years and went for The National: New Australian Art exhibition. It is a great and welcoming space. I loved a coupled of works by Lorraine Connelly-Northey and Isadora Vaughan, and the AV which a staff member kindly pointed out was in another area. It was also fun to share the buzz in people setting up for Fashion Week. Covid-safe protocols were excellent.
I go their to get my fresh greens and vegetables make sure you shop around first, because their is a few dogey ones Then Treat yourself to a breakfast pie for something different.
Went here for the Sydney Writers Festival one time, the location was pretty good and I get what they're trying to do with the ambience. The setting is a cool addition to the experience but does not take away from anything else. It is very clean, pristine and well maintained despite the theme of the location.
Our event being Sydney Writer's Festival, and this was perfect venue. Add bonus on Saturday being the markets. Facilities amazingly clean, great organization and enough catering for the attendees.
It's a pretty good performance space. The seating is well arranged. The 'stage' is not elevated, but it's big enough for dance performance, etc.
But the lobby area is a cold, unwelcoming place. It needs seating, maybe some plants, and breaking up with some small screens perhaps.
The staff seem to be pleasant, but a little disorganised
The design of this place was amazing combined with the modern aspects added to it. Still managed to preserve history and make something useful out of it.
