The only conveniences Jym has is it closest to my home. Route instructors One shower in the change room. Toilet sometimes are really dirty. And not enough machines.

Heaven on earth. Sunset in winter going for a swim in the open air heated pool and then retiring inside for a spa, steam and a svitz. So pleased to have this on my doorstep.

I love this place! Such good value for money and so many great features. My only complaint is the workout rooms were a bit hard to find for the first few times etc.without a tour but other than that its been great. The sauna is great & I love that so many different types of people visit.

The Duty Managers and Lifeguards are world class. My partner and I don't feel safe swimming anywhere else!

The most regulated pool Ive ever encountered. The pool is over staffed with life guards who treat you like a mindless child. The changerooms are filthy and the showers turn off every 5 seconds. Its really hard to enjoy yourself in this facility.

Good modern amenities like spa and sauna and is very spacious. Indoor pool can get very busy during swim school but there is another small side of the pool available to use. Outdoor pool is great for summer. Outdoor Toddler pool is good but not as fun or elaborate as other pools in the Inner West. Gym facilities are the best I’ve ever been to with best and newest equipment. I have never had to wait for equipment to be available to use. I have been also dropping off my baby at the crèche. The ladies in the crèche are great and it is a great option for me so I can workout. However The crèche is open only 9am - 1pm. All round centre and an asset to the community.

I booked a few classes to try out before deciding if I wanted to sign up for a 6 month membership. One class is quite popular so I booked it days before. I couldn't make it so called up three hours prior to cancel thinking it was OK because you're allowed to cancel at least 60 minutes before. Turns out casuals can't cancel at all. How does that work? That's not very practical, and it's pretty unfair.  You would think that they would want people to join. I spoke to Liz from reception and she was very helpful, eventually being able to give me credit. The people at reception are great, it's the ones that higher up. Hopefully they will see how this doesn't make sense and change it so that casual bookings can be cancelled.

Great swimming pool, new from renovation. High tech variable depth pool and many facilities make it stand out from the rest.

I was delighted that Ashfield Aquatic Centre has been refurbished and congratulate Darcy Byrne and Jessica D'Arienzo for leading the Inner West Council for providing the facility.

I am asking for a clarification into the discripancy as shown in my receipts which the cashiers (J and R) on duty have failed to do so.

I was charged $25.29 for 2 children swimming. I asked J and R cashiers on duty politely for a breakdown by showing them my receipt.

I felt suspicious after the cashiers (J and R) have been defensive and not able to provide me a breakdown for what I paid.

-the receipt did not have a breakdown
-the cashiers failed to clarify what was charged
-the cashiers did not make an effort to examine the amount paid.

I've attached a screenshot of Ashfield Aquatic Website pool entry prices in the pictures;

1. Adult $8.90
2 Children 5 -16 $5.60
3 Spectator/visitor/shower $4.40

To my most probable calculation:

Me - Spectator $4.40
Wife - Spectator $4.40
11 year old daughter - Spectator $4.40 (cashier J did verify my daughter wasn't swimming)
9 year old child - Swimming $5.60
5 year old child - Swimming $5.60

Total must be $24.40 instead of $25.29 paid.

I would suggest:

- to have a clear breakdown in the receipts
- or cashiers on duty have the ability to explain the cost clearly by refering to the prices displayed when needed.
-that the council do not charge non swimming children below 16 (limit to 2)
- ensure the correct amount charged for each customers otherwise it could be imposible to refund hundreds of customers each day.

* The council has been given a copy of this review.

Dear Mr Chen,

Thank you for your feedback regarding the Centre and your recent customer experience.

After reading your feedback, I have found the transaction and have attached this here for you.

From what I can understand the staff have sold you a family swim entry which equates to 2 adults and 2 children accessing the centre at a cost of $19.50

They have also sold an additional child swim for $5.60, bringing the total to $25.10

There is an additional fee of 0.19 cents which is a 0.75% card transaction fee. Bringing the total to $25.29

Inner West Aquatics operates under the strict guidance of the Royal Life Saving Society Keep Watch Policy.

The policy requires parents and carers to be within arms reach of children 0-5 years or those that are non-swimmers at all times. This means a parent or carer must be accompanying a child of this age in the water at all times.

The fee that has been charged has allowed for this to take place.

The family swim entry is the cheapest available entry for your circumstances.

If the staff had of processed payment without the family discounted entry fee, the entry would have been $29.12 inclusive of credit card surcharge.

This consists of the following

1 adult swim - $8.90ea
2 spectators - $4.40ea
2 child swim - $5.60ea
Total - $28.90 + credit card surcharge = $29.12

I hope this explains why the staff have chosen this fee when serving you and your family last weekend.

Please let me know if I may be of any further assistance.

Thank you

Kind regards,

Carly Wilson

Dear Mdm/Ms. Wilson,

Thank you for your clarification. This is lucid and satisfactory.

This inconvenience could have been avoided if the cashiers had rendered the least amount of customer care, such as your simple and easy resolution today.

Thank you and warm regards.

Yours Sincerely,

Chen

I find this Aquatic Centre better then Olympic park. It has both indoor and outdoor swimming pool, with spa, sauna and steam. The entry fee was fair amount.

之前都是在hurstville 的 Aquartis centre 活动,最近搬Ashfield附近,就改到这里活动,发现这儿不仅游泳 健身桑拿一应俱全,环境优美,更有储衣柜还是免费的,一个。
I used to work in the Aquartis centre in hurstville. I recently moved to the vicinity of Ashfield, so I changed it to this place. I found that not only swimming, fitness and sauna are available here, but also the environment is beautiful, and there is a free storage locker, one.

This pool was opened recently so the water is pristine and everything is new. It has an exceptionally good spa, sauna and steam room. Some people travel here just for the sauna alone. There is an indoor pool for kids. The gym is also noteworthy, all the equipment is new and the staff are really friendly. I took this photo on a stormy day with a full rainbow as you can see. Great pool for all and nice for laps, enough room for all and doesn't get too busy. You pay extra for the spa and it's in 30min slots. The pool typically closes at 8pm, not sure if that changes in winter best check your plans. Enjoy!

Moved to this aquatic centre from Leichhardt. Clean bathrooms which is awesome with separate spaces for toilets and showers. There's even family change areas available. Some of the rinse off showers next to the pool inside and outsidel are not working - not sure what's going on there. The outdoor pool is gently heated to take the chill off. Little kids play area inside plus one outside. Cafe with standard meals.

Ashfield aquatic centre.sorry to say after so much money, our money spent on the design of the gym which is disappointing

The change rooms are so small with one shower two cubicles, I recall about 8 lockers for a gym that could possibly hold 40-50 people at any one time (please don’t say that you have 100 lockers downstairs!)

The wash basins are a joke.please our money given to architects or designers or administration that would have been wise to go to Leichhardt aquatic and see their facilities I have been a member for over 10years so I may be biased but I know when the fit is not right.

The staff at Ashfield are only do what they can they are helpful but again the design is so so so disappointing millions mis spent

New venue for Fitness (Gym) and Aquatic Centre. Located near Croydon Train Station around 10-15minutes walk. The Aquatic Centre has indoor pool, outdoor pool, Indoor spa and sauna. The carparks divided into 2 area next to the centre and not really can accommodate lots of carspaces.
