Apple Charlestown reviews
72One of the worse apple stores in Australia.they legit have no respect.they just can’t wait to grab your money and stuff you about, I purchased an iPhone 11 and was given a faulty phone twice! Then they tried to say it was our fault and that we had to pay for repairs on a brand new iPhone we had just purchased from that store! The employees here are disgusting and only care about grabbing your money, hope this place gets covid and shuts down as its a disgrace to the public
Disgusting lazy staff, not willing to do things which are supposed to be done in store. I went there few days ago to verify my ID for latitude but one of the staff said we don’t do it anymore in store due to pandemic but today one of my friends got chance to verify it in store. Very bad experience definitely zero customer service.
Love the fact that I received continuity during a recent repair - the same person that attended me initally at the store (Adam), then phoned me to advise that my daughter's MacBook was repaired (earlier than anticipated) in time for the return to school.
Much as Covid has impacted the stores operation, I feel that the support offered by Apple continues to justify the investment in their hardware.
VERY HAPPY!
Took my laptop in for minor repairs, came back with more problems. Took it in again, came back with even more problems. This is pretty inconvenient when you're in lockdown and have to work from home.
Would recommend any servicing needs from a third party, not this store.
All Apple staff are very helpful. I’ve purchased a new iPhone from 7m ago.so you can update to iOS 14 or later so you can edit Home screen. This included App Library.
Purchased IMac and Office Home & Student software in May and had an awful customer service experience. Firstly was told my salesperson the wrong information about the finance of the iMac which took a month to sort out with the help of Latitude Visa instead of Apple Charlestown team members who all have no idea of how to answer my question or help me. Online Apple help was able to direct me to the correct answer and told me that unfortunately the team member who sold me the products had given me wrong information.
Three month later after many attempts to install and use the Office programs (no help from Microsoft available online or over the phone), Apple Charlestown directed me to Apple support team online who offered me refund via Apple Charlestown in case no one could help me - rang Apple Charlestown again, was put on hold a few times for long periods of times, to be told she could not help me and could not offer me a refund. I asked if the store should be able to sell products they are not able to help customers with nor offer refund and she decided to be silent and not answer me. I feel very disappointed at Apple for offering such poor service in Newcastle.
Eve was amazing and super helpful. She informed us about everything and couldn’t of been better explaining all the stuff about Apple Watches. She showed us some tricks on hiw to help with our phones too. Give her a raise!
Always pleasant to go into apple at charlestown being greeted by lovely staff willing and ready to help you in any way that they can quick service no problems
No service told to go online when standin in store while 3 staff members watch videos on their phones. Fantastic bad service but they r happy to sell u air pods
Impressed by the amount of staff in the store. Eve made the trade in and transfer of information between my phones super easy. In fact I even got to sit in on a free class while I was waiting for my phone to be ready
This branch used to be great but I’ve had a few bad issues lately.
They booked me in for two issues and then would only deal with one issue and requested I come back the next day.
I complained and they brushed it off.
I’m still having issues with my new iPhone and I still think its ridiculous that my headphones had rust on them after 3 months of owning them. I was advised not to wear them to the gym as sweat causes rust.
I had to make an appointment, when I got there I had to wait an hour. Stop then was told I had to make another appointment for later that afternoon when I just traveled nearly 1hr to get there not happy.
Store website has now contact us and I would not normally leave public feedback like this and contact the manager direct. Bad experience 6.47 tonight walking past apple store explaining to my child what I do at work and risks with socal distancing. As we past by the 2 guards they coughed in to there masks as if it was a game.
Terrible turn up at 9am for a appointment wait 2 hours after that and still no
Closer to getting in, expect better from Apple poor customer service
During this COVID crisis the Apple store is taking all measures, they had 2 security guards at the door with one checking temperature and handing out masks
Have been speaking with the Apple techs now for weeks about my iPhone 8s plus restarting during phone calls. Till the point they said you need your your phone checked in store as we have done all tests possible over the phone. After waiting weeks for an appointment, I was told by the tech after a 3 minute check of my case file that there’s nothing they can do since this is a hardware issue. Only then did they tell me my iPhone was also out of warranty and the only solution was to buy a new iPhone. Wish they had told me over the phone and not wasted my time. Very disappointed with the experience. No discounts for new phone offered despite this being a hardware issue outside of my control and I’m certain I was sent to apple as a marketing ploy to get me to buy a new phone.
Trying to get a screen replaced there’s not even a vacancy available online in the near future Out of all the sites offered online except one single appointment in Sydney 4 days away
When I originally purchased my 6s from Charlestown the experience was prompt and professional. I’ve had this phone for less than 2 years and the battery life is frustratingly bad, the response is growing lower each week amongst other issues. So, I’m informing you that I will be moving to OPPO very soon as clearly are slowing this device down in an attempt that I purchase a newer model. These tactics are obvious and unexceptionable to me. Why OPPO? Because I can.
Cannot recommend Lead Technician Kane enough. He was friendly and efficient, and truly listened to my concerns - 11/10 customer service from Kane!
Less than helpful, had I been able to give no Stars I would. Could not find anyone to assist, then when I eventually found someone they said that they could not assist me for 10 days, were able to offer any advice at all at the time. Explained my issue and was told that no, it would not be doing that and told how superior apple are and have no problems
