Kagawa Japanese Cuisine reviews
70Consistently good food. Been visiting here regularly last 3 years and it’s always good. It’d be great if they can clean all the dust on the lights too which is just on top of the table and our food
Delicious! We have often overlooked this restaurant but we were after a later dinner and this was one of the only places open in Dickson. So glad we finally tried it, it was very tasty. The broth in the pork ramen was the tastiest I've ever tried and the salmon don buri was good too. Look forward to visiting again!
Had a walk-in dinner at around 615pm. Food was great as expected but im feeling the recipes are shorter and the budget is tight with lacking ingredients, staff are kind and friendly. Atmosphere is typical for post work-hrs dinner service in Japan. So Kagawa is the real deal and I wish them all the best with the new dickson development outside their front door turning the area into a 40 zone extension of city walk.
5 stars in the future but today a 4.7stars.
Met friends for lunch. The food was excellent and of a very high quality. Everything was fresh and delicious. Clean and tidy, friendly staff. Would visit again.
Just moved to Canberra, and find this cozy small Japanese restaurant. Really like the Sashimi I ordered, fresh and tasty.
Very tasty Japanese food and friendly staff. Karaage chicken and tempura prawn are nice. Will come back.
A nice place with friendly service, we ordered tonkatsu bento and unagi teriyaki for lunch, both items were in good portion and delicious, my favorite is the unagi! Tonkatsu was nice and crispy, gyozas were also nice. Would recommend this place!
This was my second time dining here and I think I have found my favourite Japanese in Canberra. The food is fantastic, the service is quick and friendly, and the prices are good too. Just remember to really pull hard on the door to get in hahah
Yummy Japanese in Dickson.
We ordered Salmon Sashimi (delicious), Yellow tail nigiri (good), takoyaki (delicious), & gyoza (good).
Well priced, yummy food, well timed delivery, and friendly service.
We really loved the salmon sashimi!
Definitely a new addition to our regular dining list!
Best traditional Japanese place in Canberra.
Although they serve sushi, the reason to come here is for all of the traditional Japanese dishes.
This is my safe place to bring people when you don't know what they will eat as they have a huge range of vegetable and meat dishes, from hot to mild.
Food has always been fresh and clean.
Next level delicious. The salmon nigiri tastes like it's legitimately just jumped off a plate from the streets of Osaka right into my mouth. Outrageously yum. Gyoza-yum, teppanyaki-yum, corn batai-yuuuuum, don-yum (would probably swap out for a ramen bowl next time), potato mochi-tasty but wouldn't get again. Fried banana a nice end to a great meal.
Kagawa has to be my favourite casual dining Japanese restaurant in Canberra.
The service is amazing, the food is tasty and the prices are reasonable.
Quality ingredients make for a quality dining experience.
Easy to find with plenty of room and a range of parking options nearby, Kagawa is great for lunch or dinner. I look forward to dining there every time I work in Dickson.
Always happy to take late bookings.
This is great little Japanese restaurant! Very authentic. Reasonable prices and the food is delicious, especially the teppanyaki dishes.
Best Japanese cuisine in Canberra. (For everything BARR sushi handrolls.) and that's only cos I'm super fussy
Delicious food and well priced. Service was great as well. Without realising it was past their closing time. And they let us stay until we finished our food.
Addictive seared salmon nigiri! Such a hidden gem - always delicious, staff are lovely, can’t stop going back haha
They probably dislike me for ordering their largest set of sushi each time but honestly it's really very good.
The fish is always really fresh and the variety is great. Comes with some pickled ginger and soy sauce, as well as some wasabi. I usually share it as a large meal between two, and I think it would be a great appetiser for a party of 4-6.
I sometimes order a set of tempura or the rare beef sashimi, which is amazingly delicious, only complaint would be I wish there were more of it.
They've always been really good to me, the set itself takes about an hour for them to make on busy nights so I appreciate them taking the time to do it.
I think the ownership of the restaurant has changed hands a few times but the sushi and nigiri has always been super solid and it is my go-to each time.
At first it didn't look so promising.however I can guaranty that this was the BEST sushi in Canberra.my suggestions going g for Grilled Salmon Nigiri wow what a taste?
It was my second time to order their Gyudon and it's very delicious! The dish is not common on most Japanese restaurant around Canberra. I have been coming back and forth here, and they never disappoint me with their food and service.
Delicious food, reasonable prices, great service, nice atmosphere and serving sizes that weren’t too big. I was visiting from Victoria and will make sure to come back if I’m in Canberra again.
