Gungahlin Medical Practice reviews
79Consistently reception has forgotten about appointments and the length even though I have double checked with them on the actual day of appointment long wait times even though the practice seems empty.
Long wait times but Dr Pratap is worth it. First time any doctor has ever taken my chronic issues seriously.
So.my first and last time here.
I am applying for a job and went for a medical elsewhere, passed on everything _but_ my blood pressure- referred to as high. I was told by the place I had the medical that I required a doctor's approval to be able to proceed with doing a functionality test with the job application/requirement in order for me to proceed with my job application.
So I came here as it was the only place that seemed open on a Saturday. So I booked and came in. Other than a 30 minute wait and being the only person in the place (initially) I did not get the results I came in for. The letter for the doctor was that I needed to be under 170 BP to be able to proceed with the functionality test and if I was found under it to email them so I can proceed. My two BP readings that day as 150 and 160.under 170 but the doctor would not write up the info to the place because they wanted it to be an ongoing result that my BP was indeed staying low.
I was then asked to give bloods/urine partly for another thing the medical healthcheck thought were red flags and also for the blood pressure. That would then take another few days for those results at which point another appointment (and another $75 for consultation). Then on top of that to get a heart monitor for 24 hours and there's another day lost (plus another $100 for that procedure). Then possibly more days building until the doctor (might) be satisfied in forwarding that info to the healthcheck centre for this job application.at which stage will blow my whole chance of getting the job would be gone.
I've moved on to find another doctor to get this rolling. I have my own heart BP device at home and over the past 24 hours my readings have been 136,163,150 and just now I checked (3: 56pm) and it was 133.all of which are under the required limit of 170.
I can't honestly recommend this place at all.
Then i read the reviews written here from other people who were 1 stars.and my god.its not just my singular experience.the service and reliability just seem utterly shocking and some even horrifying.
This has pretty much cemented my return to here being a "never again. "
I was on hold for 10minutes and receptionist was rushing the call and hung up before I was finished.
This is a ridiculous clinic that I won’t come back again! If I can rate Zero, absolutely it’s nothing only with bad service and disgusting attitudes towards to patients!
After a long long wait of 50 mins + wait with dr Rahim because he is not doing a good job and there is full on favouritism. He called his relatives first and then other people. I had an appointment at 11: 50am but he didn’t see my son. After 12: 45pm then I changed my appointment to dr Daas. This is very disappointing and I would never recommend this clinic to anyone.
Saw dr datta, a few times now he has fobbed off my concerns.
The final straw was me seeing him whilst pregnant and I was in a lot of pain, not feeling well. He also told me I had to terminate as my meds were unsafe, yet every other 3nd opinion I got on the meds said it was safe.
He told me I was constipated!
Fast foreward an hr and my partner was driving me to emergency as I was hemorrhaging.
Its really a hit or miss with all the drs but I would avoid Dr Datta at all costs.
Probably one of the worst practices in Canberra. Book an appointment and still have to wait 1 hour before seen.
Good doctors but expect to wait MINIMUM half an hour even if you ring ahead to ask if the doctor is running on time
Dr Datta is a wonderful doctor and I am very happy with my treatment by him. Highly recommend. He is a careful and respectful doctor.
Dr Daas is fantastic, I highly recommend him. He's friendly, caring, highly competent and great with kids. It's a bit of a luck of the daw with the other doctors
Dr Sayed was extremely lacking in care and was very unprofessional. Had to repeat myself 3 times explaining the cause of my condition, to then be asked "what do you want me to do? "
Left feeling worse than when I walked in.
The male receptionist was kind and approachable though.
Good Doctors and excellent nurses, especially Dr. Ratish Das for children.
Doctors are always late, be prepared to wait for minimum 20 minites for the agreed appointment.
I went there few days ago because i was suffering from abdomen problem.receptionist sent me to new doctor Dr NAZIA.she even can't speak english properly.she called another doctor to solve my issue.then they sent me to another doctor when i said i am not satisfied with both doctors.new doctor charged so much money just for 15 min.i have wasted my 4 hours there.but the funniest thing is my problem is still there.
Dr. Abul Hassan is very unprofessional, go somewhere else, I requested advice on a neurologist for a very serious condition that ive had and he just said, there all the same buddy but anyway, how many days do you need for the certificate? Indians are not recomended! He didint prescribe the blood test he said i needed, just waiting to get rid of the patient quickly to get another one and get paid for it.
Staff are so rude, not sure if they are use to dealing with angry clients but the lady I spoke to was so defensive and was borderline yelling at me because I asked if the dr bulk billed or not. Also waited 50 minutes past my appt time to see the dr then was charged $75. Also was prescribed strong antibiotics that were unnecessary. Wont be coming back
This place is worst Ive ever been.
I've been here two times and there was always long waiting even I made appointment.
My appointment was supposed to be at 2: 15 and I have just wait for 30 mins, then receptionist said I HAVE TO WAIT FOR 20 MORE MINS.
What is the point of making appointment?
Please do not go here, here I'd the worst. I just wasted of my time.
How is it that you book the last appointment the doctor has but you still wait over an hour to see him and 5 other people go before you anyway
Dr Syed is simply unprofessional and incompetent, he took phone calls during the appointments, once even speaking to his builder. Dismisses concern and doesn't seem to care much. Every time I was with him, he asked "what do you want me to do? " what a joke of a doctor! Avoid him at any cost.
The only doctor I found helpful here was Dr. Ratish Das, quite good with kids.
