70 This medical centre is the worst run in Canberra!
Every time I visit the centre, there is only one person on reception, whilst two to three other “receptionist” are too busy talking out the back. The obese lady who sits in the office, finds it funny and calls over the anorexic one to laugh at people waiting in line.
This WILL be taken to the Humans Right Commission as this is not right!
It seems like reception on weekdays do not want to work and need an attitude adjustment. Weekend reception are far better.
The doctors are good, that’s the only reason I attend.
On 3 occasions in the last 2 weeks I have waited for an hour after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. Today I realised that for one doctor it's because he goes out to have a cigarette break between patients, with the smell of cigarette smoke hanging heavy in the air in his consult room.
I’m so sorry to post this but i was charged to just get my normal blood test results. As the doctor has said it will be free if i have normal report. In the appointment day the doctor was running late and the reception state me i am happy to see another doctor and i also say her the doctor has said its free for if the result come negative. I wasn’t told about paying when i go but they charge me while coming back with my normal blood test result. Its my good lesson from next time to get my blood test result in my own email.
Not happy as they were not informative about when i say them what the doctor had told me in my first visit.
My appointment was 50 minutes late. I was only there to get a repeat of my prescription, which I was able to do over the phone for the last 3 years but now have to do a face to face appointment. The best part is getting to line up again, after my appointment which was 50 minute late, to receive my receipt.
No longer bulk billing and charge at least $30 more than most other centres in the Belconnen area
Awful place that has recently stopped bulk billing and now charges $100 per consult. A lot of 5 star reviews for a place with a 2.3 rating, none of which provide any explanation of have left reviews elsewhere.
Long wait times and the quality of advice is seriously variable.
No mention of being charged for appointment until I arrived. No communication to existing patients about no longer bulk billing.
Feel so betrayed that this clinic has jumped on the mixed billing, and no longer offers bulk billed. They are also more expensive than some other places - so it's not as of they're even charging the least that they can. This is going to dramatically impact the mental health community, and the government and the doctors should feel ashamed. People really are powerless.
Called the centre sunday on hold for over 40 minutes and receptionist apologised she was on her own then called again monday on hold over 1hr no one picked up went in and 1 cranky staff member. Why do you always have limited staff being such a large clinic its very poor service and im not impressed. I have taken my family here for many years and there are no staff or new staff every month or so. One more thing an appointment time is for a reason so you dont spend hours waiting yet we waited almost 2 hrs for the appointment with no notification of her running late and thats no right at all my father is elderly and taking him out is not easy.
Waited over an hour and a half on the phone only to be hung up on reception is terrible most likely due to be over worked the management not so good
Awful experience as the receptionists are rude and unprofessional, did not even know the accurate process of the check items going for, just waste client’s time for her unprofessionals. Star is low for a reason. Not recommended.
Very unprofessional front desk staff don’t go there without prior booking.they don’t take walk-in… they will make you wait for 3-4hrs and then after 3-4hrs of waiting they will very rudely say that it’s doctors choice and walk-in are not entertained today. It’s ur bad luck. That’s the response! Shame shame! It’s better to go to Canberra Hospital and wait in emergency at least you might be attended. Best of Luck
Terrible experience at this clinic with Dr. Richard today. My partner urgently required a doctor’s certificate to allow her a week’s leave from work due to serious health issues both physical and mental. The doctor, who was quite rude in communication during the appointment, refused to provide a certificate advising any more than 48 hours. We had a much better experience at Florey Medical Centre and UC health clinic - much more considerate and attentive to our situation.
This place dont even deserve 1 star service today was the worst

This must be where the worst doctors come because they're too bad to get a job anywhere else. Well they're welcome here, on contract of course and are not able to be held accountable for negligence.
Like when I came with burns over my eye and face and they didn't know what to do so they told me to make my way to the hospital. Wouldn't even call me an ambulance.
Do not visit Dr. Richard If you want some useful suggestions. He is Pride and Prejudice. He tell me go away.
The staff on the counter were rude to most patients that came through during the hour + wait time to get a new script.
Edit: I had to go back the next day because after 2.5hrs waiting I gave up and went to work.
Everything is too slow I can’t explain if you go there, after make more time. So terrible experience.
Worst service, completely disorganized and long waiting period approx 2 hours. This is based on my 4 times visit.
If you want to book a long appointment you need to call the reception because they don't let you book it online. I have called 4 times, always been put on hold and waited over 25 minutes and never got through! I wouldn't recommend the place it's really the poor customer service.
