Belconnen Medical Centre

I have been coming here for over a year because I relocated to Belconnen and have needed many appointments for chronic and painful conditions. I have received nothing but kindness, patience and consideration from my doctor, the receptionists and nursing staff.

Yes, you often have to wait a long time past your appointment time, but this is because my doctor, Dr Pilla, takes the time to listen carefully and answer questions. She has referred me for different procedures and tried different meds to get best possible results. She does not try and rush the consultation, but really does all she can to listen carefully and help me.

I am sorry to see some bad reviews here. Medical practices are always very busy and you need to allow for appointments to run over time and slow things down. They often have to deal with unexpected emergencies. All who work there deserve patience and courtesy.

I’ve never had an issue with this practice in the couple of years I’ve been a patient sure the wait time can be a bit frustrating, but having spent several years only having access to another practice in Belconnen where I’d wait for upwards of 6 hours to be seen I’m happy to wait as long as it takes because I know it’ll never be that long. Additionally I’ve enjoyed having doctors that actually listen to what I have to say rather than attempting to get me out the door as quickly as possible. If I request a blood test they give me the form, if I ask for an xray they give me the form not once have they sent me away saying things like “take anti-inflammatories & maybe then we’ll do what you ask” or said my issue was just “anxiety” like other practices have in the past.
Furthermore to the people complaining about the cost get over it you can’t have the world for free, Either be poor or disabled enough to qualify for a healthcare or pension card or get private health insurance & deal with the costs
You don’t expect a plumber to come fix your pipes for free so don’t expect doctors to do their job for nothing.
They’ve already spent enough time doing unpaid placement hours at university & then unpaid hours after university before they can even register & work as a doctor so they deserve to be paid a fair amount
& what you pay for an appointment that you then get some of back in Medicare is more then reasonable for the years of continuous hardwork that goes into being a doctor.
(Ps if you don’t like the system here then try America or overseas cause I can assure you the care & service your getting here is 100% better then you’d get in other countries)

Dr Pilla is an amazing doctor and a truely caring person. I finally feel seen, heard and cared for after years of feeling I’ve been medically neglected and alone in getting help, she has restored my faith and given me hope in recovery and treatment for my injury.

Dr Al Naser is amazing, nice guy and understanding. Often long waiting times but if you plan for that it's no biggy.

Dr Sally is a very kind and understanding doctor. Her level of personal care today was next level for me.

Since moving to Canberra from interstate late last year we chose to attend this clinic and have been seeing Dr Pilla regularly over this time as my son has many health issues. We have been very impressed with Dr Pilla's care and the staff at this clinic.

Dr Vahid Rafiei is the best, such a good listener, gave me the right medication and he solve the problem out straight away in professional way.
Recommend him to every one.

Amazing and extremely comforting experience. I have been coming here for quite a while now and all the doctors including Dr. Al Naser and Dr. Dikshata were very helpful and sincere. Would definitely recommend. Also, most of the reviews here are for the Belconnen Mall Medical Center and not for the Belconnen Medical Center. Dr. Koster and Dr. Abdul aren’t part of this Center.

Dr Kosta pretty much saved my son. He had a heart condition. Dr Kosta ordered tests which we did. Upon receiving the results Dr Kosta rang us up and insisted my son attend hospital. After three days of intensive treatment and a very full on teatment my son is on the road to recovery.his follow up consultation was great as well. 5 other Dr's had seen my son prior to this. And had misdiagnosed this ailment. I cannot thank him enough and highly recommend Dr Kosta. Thanks.

Just Fantastic. Prompt, low wait times and Doctor Koster was very thorough and personable. Couldn't be happier and glad I tried the centre.

My experience here has been fantastic. I was impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the 2 doctors Koster and Aumarah whom I have had several consultations with. As with any other medical practice there are times when one has to wait longer than expected but that is the nature of the service. The staff at the reception are friendly and obliging.

After some mixed experiences with medical workers it was good to find the professionalism and comprehensive knowledge at the Belconnen Mall Centre. I had a serious infection dealt with promptly. Many thanks to Dr Louis Koster and staff.

I found the service excellent. The reception staff were friendly and accomodating. It’s really easy to book an appointment last minute online.
I’ve also had multiple consultations with Dr Syeda Tausif and couldn’t recommend her enough. I had seen a specialist and another GP regarding a health problem and wasn’t satisfied with their plan for my health. However, after seeing Dr Tausif I felt relieved and happy about my plan and felt as though Dr Tausif thoroughly explained things and made me feel comfortable. Dr Tausif listened to my concerns attentively and put me on the right track to managing my health problem. She ensured proper follow up and she approached any questions I had in a non-judgemental and professional manner. I will definitely be making her my regular GP. She encouraged me to book follow up appointments to ensure my health remained on track. I felt as though Dr Tausif harnessed a person centred approach and understood my concern. She also and did her best to alleviate any issues or doubts I had. Thanks very much.

The receptionist are just wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better medical center. The doctors I see are fantastic & they take the time for you they care.
I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Been multiple times in the last 3 months, every time the wait was short (15-20 minutes MAX) and the doctor was helpful informative and thorough

Dr Pillar is easy to built rapport with and very knowledgable. She doesn't rush you and makes you very comfortable. Great with kids! The wait times can vary but I choose to ask how many in front of me when I arrive and knowing how the Dr is with others (as well as me) so waiting isn't an issue.

Have been a few times and they seem to be so busy all the time. I still think they are providing a great service.

Dr. Diksharta is an amazing Dr.
Is a shame the reception staff are unable to communicate respectfully with patience.
Very dismissive, unapproachable and not very friendly. The medical centre would be 10/10 if it had friendly staff. Instead the staff almost seem to go out of their way to make any interaction unpleasant.
