YARDIE HOMESTEAD reviews
73 Really convenient campground in turquoise bay. All amenities are there (showers, kitchen and bbq, a pool for kids) and drinking water available on site.
No signal except if you have Telstra so be prepared.
My favourite bush camping caravan park in Australia. This place is right near the amazing Ningaloo Reef and has great holiday atmosphere.
The location is great but not being able to hook up to a water tape and not having enough power to run your kitchen appliances. You can't run a ac so with young kids it's impossible for them to have day sleeps. We had 5 sites booked and when er arrived they had 1 family completely separate from the rest even tho when we rang they said we where all together
Love this homestead. I have stayed here at least 4 times. Close to main beaches, nice pool.
Atm it is very quiet which is nice.
Fantastic staff, extremely helpful when it's required.
Definately my stay when I come to Exmouth.
The Homestead has everything you need for extended stays in a great location.
Cafe on site, and usually bands playing at weekends
Yardie ‘wilderness camping’ is wilderness camping only by name. More akin to cramped suburbia, only without the privacy or noise insulation that walls provide.
If your idea of an ideal getaway driving thousands of kilometres to be mere centimetres from your neighbours, with a view consisting purely of other peoples’ caravans and trailers, then this is the place for you! If, however, you prefer some privacy, quiet, space or to see nature, then stay elsewhere. We wish we’d known about the national park campsites nearby prior to booking this place. Sadly by the time we arrived & discovered what the place was actually like, all the nearby campsites were booked out. We were willing to just cut our losses & cancel our booking (with no refund - this place has a very strict cancellation policy) if we were able to find anywhere else to stay at all.
Pros: hot showers, flushing toilets, kids pool
Cons: no campfires, no definition of space between campsites/overbooking, meaning everyone is crammed in. Zero privacy, basically a cleared site. Somehow there is also no view at all of nature, despite everywhere nearby being so beautiful! Also the “tropical pool” advertised is really just a normal pool overrun with kids. Many noisy, VB-smashing neighbours.
Good campground at the entrance of Cape Range NP where you can get fresh drinking water, hot showers, shade and also a swimming pool. Would stay there again.
The only thing is the camp kitchen with only one gas stove, would be good to have at least one and a kettle

Great camping.
We stayed the double of the time that we plan at the beginning.
Clean, big spots, drinking water, and really well situated.
We will repeat
Very very very limited power use. No jug. No A. C. No Hot water use in caravan as this will trip the power out. Only ran fridge. So basically paying for power that can't be used.
Perfect spot to escape the hustle in town Friendly & helpful staff. Facilities were great. Large sites with constant power.
Fantastic place to camp. Loved burger night with live music. Nice cafe open every morning till noon. Loved doing the walks around the station that are well signed. Original and very rustic amenities. Highly recommended
Site 168 overlooking ranges. Good size site with shade trees, windy but that's the area. Power water good. Ablutions excellent ensuites. Good fuel prices. Close to the beach. Stayed a few days and happy to stay again. Very busy at present.
We love camping in our Camper trailer and this was our first visit to the area, The Yardie Homestead was perfect for our needs. Although, It was disappointing that despite booking 6 months in advance we were not located next to our daughter. Even though we booked at the same time she was located 4 sights away. Showers are well maintained and usually hot. We had an Open clear campsites with shared tap and powerbox lovcated near newer ablutions. Cafe is great for back up if those cheeky galahs steal your bread. Which happened to us. Bit noisy in the mornings with people packing up but very quiet at night. Can hear the dingoes calling.
Yardie Homestead is a wonderful camp ground with great clean facilities. I have stayed here multiple times and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Awful people to deal with. The road towards the caravan park is in dreadful condition. Ignore the bitumen and use the shoulder. There potholes in bitumen that can seriously damaged any suspension.
Great location in this region. Nice camp sites, suitable for tents. Amenities are a bit old but good enough.
Large campsite, everything you need. There's a lot of weird smells around like sewerage. Location wasnt the best and it's no where near Yardie Creek so we were left very confused driving around the creek. And unfortunately on the night we stayed we had some peculiar neighbours. One singing most the night and one yelling a lot. Not my favourite but my partner liked it. I wouldn't go back, he would though. Good place to stop on your travels into the national park. We were located right at the back of the place which may not have been the best. Staff were very friendly and apparently the restaurant is nice.
Yardie creek homestead was my basecamp for 7 nights whilst the kayak club planned day trips through the national park to beaches and yardie creek, the homestead was PERFECT, lets you have some ownership on the clean up after your shower, toilet cubicle and i think thats great. It was fully packed so do your bit no place could keep up with that foot traffic! The staff were on the ball yet not intrusive unless your an asshat! Great food and entertainment live bands it was unreal never expected and fully enjoyed that and will be back for Sure
Yardie Homestead caravan park is a wilderness setting on North West cape where people come to visit Ningaloo reef & see whale sharks, fish, snorkel, windsurf, swim, camp & generally have a good time relaxing in some pristine conditions. The park is very popular & has expanded enormously to cater for far more people.
Peaceful, bit older shower block than most would like, but for me if it has hot water I'm happy! And the water was hot
