Wills Domain reviews
66My wife and I came here for the start of our honeymoon and had the most incredible experience. We had the 7 course degustation with paired wines. The servings were very generous so it was really good value. Each course was so delicious and well presented. Loved how the very passionate chef came out and explained the food and the sommelier the same for the wines. Great setting too, can't wait to come back.
From start to finish, one of the most outstanding dining experiences wife and I have had. Each dish of our four course degustation was nothing short of brilliant, and the service superb.
If there's one tiny element that could make the day even better (if that's possible), perhaps the bar person could be a little more munificent with wine by the glass.
Very highly recommend. Will definitely be back.
The food here is absolutely amazing! Uncomplicated dishes but refined and done to perfection. Some of the best renditions of dishes I've ever had!
We opted for the degustation menu for our lunch, with the matching wines. Easily the best dining experience i've ever had.
Fantastic food and service. The head chef spent a considerable amount of time with us, explaining dishes and it's ingredients which was really impressive. The best meal I've ever had and will be going back very soon.
Food excellent. Waiter great. Wine good. Ambience adaquate. First point of contact soured experience. What a shame. It has to be a team effort to make an exceptional occasion and my expectations were high maybe next time.
Great service, no attitude just smiles and attention to detail. Great menu & excellent food.
We have been here a number of times over the years and have been very happy with the food and service. After dining here today with two other couples we were happy with the quality but all of us were very disappointed with the quantity. After the very small entree and main I left feeling a bit ripped off. How about getting back to decent servings. Not happy!
We came for a long lunch and it was excellent. Opting for the 3 courses we left stuffed and very happy.
Great food and great service.
Highly recommended.
A slightly underwhelming experience. The venue, thoughtful seating, and the formal service were very pleasant. We were greeted well and the gentleman waiter was very attentive and charming. The food however, was far more style than substance with the dishes falling somewhat flat. The Will's Domaine "experience" was held up only by the venues wonderful setting and sound service unfortunately.
I recently booked my 30th birthday lunch at Wills Domain, and was disappointed.
We had the choice menu (3 courses for $99)
Sourdough bread to start we had to use our hands to break it up as you could not cut through the buns at all.it just got so messy.and if I'm being really picky, the butter portion was far too small, and served cold.
There was a hair in the toothfish main course, and the milk chocolate salted caramel dessert was far too rich for all of us to finish. Everything else in between was nice, and the drinks were great.
But for the price and the hype I expected much better, as Wills Domain was last voted Best Regional Restaurant in WA, and unfortunately it wasn't.
Absolutely stunning views, perfect for a long lunch! It's easy to see why they were the top restaurant in WA (2018) and continue to win Australian Good Food Guide awards! Highlights included the Murry cod, the Southern rock lobster, the Rose Mallee rump, and the Yuzu Sour (one of the best cocktails I've ever had)! Didn't love some of the other dishes we tried, but we would definitely come back again on our next trip down south!
Wow! Dined here for lunch yesterday and still can't believe how delicious the food was. Our highlight were definitely the two desserts - still dreaming about the flavours. Thank you to the Chef for taking us on this amazing culinary experience. Breathtaking views of the Vinyard completed a perfect lunch.
Great good, views and drinks.
The rump was excellent - 5 star. The duck and the crayfish were also great.
Loved the two sides - the dressing on the salad was really cool and the pork fat potato's were beautiful and crispy.
It’s always interesting reading the reviews. They seem to reveal more about the reviewer that the place sometimes.
Our experience was all very very nice. The service, the view, the food. All lovely. From the lobster lovely and yummy and perfectly cooked. Delicious duck and perfect potato skins. The thoughtful seating positions is a nice touch also.
Question - does the ev charger work for other evs? (Type ccs2 of course) - like voyagers does.
Food was fantastic. Better than the usual MR region winery fare.
Great range of wines by the glass. Including some older vintages. Nice!
Coffee was disappointing. Too finely ground so the flavour was lost
We had Seth's table degustation and the food was excellent, especially the dessert. Highly recommended! We always find the experience of watching a kitchen work to be fascinating. Would definitely come back!
Best lunch I have had in a long time, the duck was cooked to perfection.
Service is impeccable
Fabulous degustation lunch with excellent wines in a friendly atmosphere. Strongly recommended.
Absolutely amazing winery and restaurant. Been coming to Wills for years now and never fails to please with great menus from Seth.
Fabulous for events as well. Our wedding here was the best day.
