Whalers Restaurant

Went to Whalers tonight, we had the crayfish entrees and Reef and Beef main. Well you couldn't ask for nicer food. Both were amazing, the beef was cooked as requested perfectly for us both and so tender we probably didn't need the steak knives we were given. Serves were large too, we were both forcing the last 10 or so mouthfuls down but didn't want to leave any on the plate (we sacrificed some salad though). And the sauce and potatoes topped it off nicely. Prices we were thought were reasonable. It's not a get dressed up or a romantic meal type restaurant so it would suit everyone whether on holidays or in Exmouth for work and the service from the lovely, friendly staff and quality of food would put it in the same category as a "5 star" restaurant for sure. My only complaint would be that some parents did not stop their children from chasing each other around the tables inside where we and others were eating - the parents were sitting outside. Also parking was a problem, not enough carparks inside the resort or on the street. Otherwise I highly recommend Whalers and would love to eat there again if we ever return to Exmouth

Average food with above average prices and poor service.

We waited almost an hour for our main meal and when the steak (fillet mignon) arrived we were surprised to find a large skewer through the centre whilst eating (it was hidden). If I had paid $20 at a bistro I would have no issue but for a $50 steak you expect far better.

This establishment is considered the top in Exmouth and it is clear they are simply exploiting the ignorant with simple menu items that can be produced by a high turnover of backpacker staff.

Waited 30 minutes ro order desert then decided to grab a Maxibon at the local servo.

They had the nerve to ask for a tip.

Good food and service. But I got eaten more than I ate. Please install insect zappers. It wasn't myself but all outdoor diners suffered. (Obviously not their fault, just a suggestion to improve)

Booked a table for a special occasion reached there and the staff were so rude. No hospitality ethics at all. Complete disappointment. Need to have staff who know how to run the floor and manage the floor well.

Great food with beautiful presentation!
We came for dinner twice and topped it off with a breakfast. Enjoyed every meal and would happily come back!

Always an excellent dining place in Exmouth. Meals are sumptuous, tasty and their seafood pasta is loaded with fresh seafood. Highly recommended but make booking as it is always busy.

Great meal. Partner and I shared the seafood tower and added on the steak to go with it. Seafood was fresh and delicious and steak was tender and cooked perfectly. Finished with the banoffee which lovely!

We went there a few day ago for dinner. Food quality was very fresh especially seafood. We order seafood parter for 2 for 115$ and as 25$ for beef (beef was fantastic). You will not disappoint it. Except fish a bit dry but it was okay.

Noisy environment but happy with food.
Recommend for booking especially on the weekends.
Overall, love it.

Had a delicious seafood platter at the restaurant for our anniversary/belated honeymoon. Venue and service were great, seafood was lovely, only downfall the bugs were overcooked and floury, but the rest of the seafood was perfect. Phil and Donna Hadley.

Food was alright but water and coke was absolutely delicious, also met some la cucaracha. Friendly staff services, will definitely cum again.

After the missing understanding for are booking made 4 hours earlier in person we sat down to enjoy are night. My wife and myself ordered the seafood medley, and by Christ I’m glad we did.
This was the best sea food we had had since Las Vegas 2019. I kid you not if you like seafood this is a must for you.
The staff was very helpful, but found the pricing to be some what on the higher side, but they do say “ you get what you pay for”
I would gladly pay the $110 for the seafood medley.

Surprisingly wonderful: the seafood spaghetti was filled with sweet scallops, tasty prawns, delicious mussels, and more. And shaved Parmesan with no Italian scorn for seafood with cheese! He had the lamb shank, which he loved and commented “the meat fell off the bone”. Noisy happy atmosphere and service, well you have to be a bit assertive, but a definite YES overall from me.

Food was excellent. Service was awesome.

In terms of ambience, dining inside was a little noisy!

I was here in September having all my meals at Whalers finding the Reef and Turf my go to meal. I am back again for a week and the meals and service are just as I expected. Brilliant! Well done.

Absolutely amazing food! We have visited for lunch and dinner and both times the food was top notch. Tonight the husband had the reef and beef and the steak was huge, perfectly cooked and the little potato cubes were a treat for this Irishman, not to mention the generous portion of good sized garlic prawns. I had the seafood spaghetti.generous portion, lots of seafood and so tasty! Not forgetting the cod dumpling served with a delicious Asian dressing that we shared for starters. The food is incredible, the service was great and it is easy to see why this place is so busy. If you are coming to Exmouth this place is a must! We will be back!

Best restaurant for evening meal in Exmouth in my opinion, been hear multiple times always book in at least once when in the area and has never disappointed. Love this place

First came here in July 2020 for my birthday dinner and tonight we came back to this place again, might make it an annual thing now the menu is quite pricey but the portion is HUGE and the food quality is top level. Great vegetarian menu too.

THE BEST garlic bread in the world. Ate here last year and remembered the garlic bread being pretty amazing, returned last week to find they're still serving the best. Our meals were absolutely delicious - we didn't leave enough room for dessert so popped back the following night for some with a cocktail. Good service! Amazing food! I reckon you'll need to book as it's a popular place.
