Walpole Rest Point Caravan Park reviews
70 Fantastic family and pet friendly park right at the waters edge for boating, kayaking, and fishing. The park is well maintained and tidy with old but clean amenities. Only short drives to a couple of beaches and Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk.
Would recommend you come with your required groceries. There is a small convenience store in town, which is quite pricey, and the nearest IGA is in Denmark.
Great location on the waters edge. Big camping sites. Much $ has been spent on extending the park and building a new ablution block to service the extension. All of it is moth balled and unused. Meanwhile the old ablution block floods to the entrance door every night. Poorly cleaned and maintained. Dodgy smears on toilet tiled walls. Take winter clothes all year.
This park needs some serious renovations. It was clean, good showers, but the layout, mmm, needs a revamp. If you are on the munda biddi or walking the bibblimum track. Make sure you have a good plan B for emergencies. They willNOT, give a refund under 72 hour notice. What a b. Joke!
Lovely location all the same.
Location Great, beautiful quiet camp right on the edge of the inlet. Pelicans and jetty, and a spot to launch a boat. Check in super friendly and helpful staff. Good camp kitchen, toilet and showers run down in need of a revamp as are many of the other buildings in the park. Cosmetically not quite up to the usual Gday park standard. Especially not at $40 a night in the off season.
Please put some money into this place Gday and it’d be a cracker!
Great quiet park beautiful surroundings good amenities with happy and cheerful staff would definitely stay again
New manager she was a great enthusiastic, pleasant and very helpful on what to do in the area. This is a lovely park on the waterfront. Very welcoming staff.
Great place to stay close to town. Amenities very clean, little bit wet they had 40mm rain two days earlier.
Sites are a Quagmire after rain.
Roads around Park. Were Bitumen last Century but now rough dirt and potholed.
Very rough Electrical connection.
Water taps were broken away from pole.
Book with Park not GDAYS Parks as we and others got ripped off by over $15per night.
Nice spot the Park itself facility wise is just 2 Star.
Location very good on edge of large inlet and very close to golf course
Our unit 6 was certainly clean
but very dated
Wifi didn't work Inside and not a single towel rail in the bathroom
A good place to stay, very quite place to enjoy the nature, ducks, birds and kangaroos is easy to be seen. They also provide EV charger. Definitely i would like to come back.
All 30 of us had a really great holiday. Rest point has everything you want in a holiday, beautiful location, helpful staff and good time all round.
Thanks so much
From the Bunbury Line Dancers.
Ps, all hale the King of Walpole.
Poorly maintained grounds. 1 ablution block being repainted but in extremely poor condition. 2nd block marginally better poor drainage. The whole place has seen better days.
Lovely situation on the inlet.could be so much better.
We stayed in our little Tear Drop camper for the first time and we were put in a lovely pot between 2 wonderful and friendly neighbours.
Walpole Rest Point Caravan Park was really relaxing and my granddaughter learnt the new game of spotlight. She did not want to leave.
The receptionist was so friendly. Was just a great area for our first adventure and granddaughter saw some manta rays and was searching for the elusive otter. As Arnie says "we'll be back".
Didn't stay was a visit to have Xmas lunch with relatives.
The Ecotour looks great and fun
Thankyou so much to all the staff, what an outstanding friendly and peaceful Rest.
Terrific management, great showers and so accommodating to customers that come away for a break.
Just love it.
The location is beautiful and the staff are immensely pleasant. But we did feel cheated by the advertising for the units online versus what we got on arrival.
The website shows groups of two units. We were in Unit 6, which was crammed in among a bunch of other units at the center of all of them in a single large building with about 7 to 8 units total. This would not normally be a problem except the units lack any sort of noise suppression in the walls and have wooden floors. You could hear conversations if they were loud enough. We were treated to arguments between kids and their parents along with the sound of children stomp running up and down the units until 11PM every night of our stay. Unit 6 is unusually shaped like an L, with a single window looking out and a shared porch with our neighbours, and a sky light that allowed light into the kitchen and sleeping area. The interior of the unit was also very dated, but well kept at least.
I wish I could give a better review. But if you stay in a unit, come prepared with ear plugs for a more peaceful nights sleep.
Not a bad spot. Good for fishing right off the bank. Jetty is closed unfortunately. So if you have a tinny - bring it. Facilities were clean and nice. Showers had great pressure, camp spots were roomy enough.
Great park, cheaper than others. Very friendly staff. Very good sized sites. Right on the river. Highly recommend.
The location and views from this place are amazing and make it well worth staying at. They also have a 2.4km walking track which was nice.
Wonderful people, pelicans, kangaroos, all types of birds, large sheltered body of water for many fla water sports, with access to the ocean. Loved the quiet setting, albeit the site wasn’t full for caravans.
