Wagyu-En Japanese Restaurant

The food was fantastic & the servers were super friendly. The place really gave off a authentic, homey japanese vibe. I will definately be coming here again soon.

Wagyu-En is a delightful gem among Japanese and Korean restaurants, especially when you're in the mood for some mouthwatering BBQ.

One of the first things that caught my attention was the affordability. The price at Wagyu-En is remarkably reasonable compared to the top-notch food and exceptional service they provide. To put it in perspective, the same amount of food elsewhere would have cost us around $40-$50 per person, but here, we only spent $60 for two people.

Beyond the great value, what truly elevated the experience was the dedicated staff. Our server went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special. From the attentive table setup to his genuine care, it was evident that he takes pride in providing top-notch service.

With such an amazing dining experience, I am already looking forward to my next visit to Wagyu-En. The high-quality food and warm hospitality ensure that I'll be returning for more delightful moments and delicious dishes.

They do charcoal bbq with various Wagyu cuts. Everything tasted good. Have some patience as your charcoal will not be hot enough at the start but soon it will get going and your meat will be cooked in no time. I would recommend their takoyaki. Overall great experience and you will be rolling out.

Try the buffet all you can eat. The wait staff are very friendly Be patient great service.

We went here tonight for dinner. But the bowl they gave me for Kimchi soup had cockroaches. It's really terrible for me

VERY DISAPPOINTED on the amount of the food not worth what we paid for.meats are good and kimchi.is just the price and amount of food that they serve is not what we expect.didn't even get full enough.will never comeback here. Also it take 45mins to serve the food. I'M VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED we went to different similar restaurant before but never had this experience. EXPENSIVE AND VERY LITTLE AMOUNT OF SERVINGS.

Wagyu- En was a very pleasant surprise- unassuming from outside but quite welcoming on the inside. The Asian gentleman that served us (didn't ask for his name unfortunately) provided The Best (capital letters needed in this instance) Service I have experienced in years in any restaurants in Perth (and I did have my years in hospitality so I am fairly sure of what Service is). Food was delivered punctually and tasted really fresh - well priced for Wagyu (strongly recommend the tongue as well) - we will definitely go again - thanks Team at Wagyu- En for a pleasant and tasty night

Let's run some numbers of what I rate everything. As a person who has been here at least over 5 times (only for dinner). So why do I return?

1. Service 4/5
Really depends on who is there. I find some staff are very attentive while some not so much but for the most part it's not like they are daydreaming and have their hand in their pockets. Also very nice, never rude.

2. Price 4/5
A bit overpriced but not what I would consider a rip off. Honestly fair considering quantity and quality. Although it really does depend on the dish.

3. Quantity 3.5/5
Inconsistent at times and also depending on which dish. The meats always seem to be consistent though and honestly to me at least, that's all that matters.

4. Taste 5/5
Honestly the reason I keep coming back. Never wanted to spit something out. And taste for everything I order always stay consistent. Texture for meats and sashimi is chefs kiss.

5. Atmosphere 5/5
I like places that feel homey and yeh it has that vibe. They are never that busy so it's never packed and super noisy but that's unfortunately most likely due to their poor reviews. (Don't let them fool you I thought the same and avoided the place but now you see I'm a regular). I would take my friends here and my future kids if they still around by the time.

We are four people walk in to the restaurant. However, ours had cockroaches in the dipping sauce (pictured below). We have been hoping that the boss will come out and solve the problem, but there has been no response. So we are so angry and upset. Hoping the government and department can handle the health problems, hygiene problems and food safety. Thank you so much.

Really enjoyable food and always super happy with the quality and selection of meat. Been here a couple times and usually service is pretty good, but have at times had slow points.

I do think that this place, compared to other jbbq places, is highly under appreciated and it’s sad to see empty seats when I go.

Ordered the Shabu Shabu course set for two and was surprised with the generous portions. For meats, the set came with pork, Australian wagyu and tongue slices. There was only one waiting staff so the wait was slightly long but the service was great and the waiter refilled our table water without us requesting. Overall a good experience.

I’m really disappointed about your service. I’ve been waiting for half hour and no any food come up yet, the charcoal fire keep heating up for half hour and without any food, very Smokey, very unusual, without any fan or air condition on, we can’t breath here， it nearly cause carbon monoxide poisoning. I’m very loyal customers and been here for many times for each month. Now I’m really disappointed service here today. I recommend you should increase kitchen staffs in the restaurant for faster service and keep air fresh in the shop.

The food and the meat were very good but the staffs attitude was verrrrrrry bad, and the order takes soooooooo long. How fannnnooooo!

False advertising. Unfilling overpriced salad with rubbish morlsels. Wasted $28. Kimchi rice soup worthless too. Don't go here. I aint fasting hunny.

I’d not recommend this place. The food was ok. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful at all. The order time is 75 minutes and when we tried to order. The staff looked so unhappy to take your order. And they walked passed and kept saying wait and wait and a couple time they didn’t even come to ask you. So I had to keep calling them. And it took about 15 minutes to get our first edamame after our first order within 75 minutes. I understand It was busy when we went and seemed only 2 waitresses there. So 75 minutes wasn’t enough as you have to wait a long time to come out. $80/per person. Not worth it!

Not happy at all - staff were unhelpful and we kept having to remind them what we ordered. We came with a big group and asked the staff if the ice cream would be complimentary and they said YES. So at the end we asked to get our COMPLIMENTARY ICE CREAM and they brought it out - there was a tiny bit of ice cream which was half melted and we had to eat it with a fork.when the bill came we were charged $85 for the melted ice cream which came to $5/head. I talked to the staff as all of us heard her telling us we would get free ice cream and she said "I misunderstood you' - I asked to speak to the manager and they said he had left.very disappointed with the poor service and they didn't even care that we were unhappy. Didn't even apologise to us. Everything is so over priced and we were all very disappointed as to how they handled that situation. They really should have advised us about the costing as they misunderstood us.

Love the Wagyu and Sashimi at this place, and of course nothing beats charcoal BBQ. They are so generous with their portions and so generous with their good service. Although not many staff anongst a lot of people in the restaurant tonight, they were attentive and made themselves available when we needed their service. Top quality Japanese Wagyu at good prices. If you love yakiniku, you'd love this place!

The food was okay.meat has a slight frozen after taste to it? Salad was nice

Ever since eating there though.my wife and I feel quite off. This is the only thing we have eaten in common today.

It's not the best value at $45/head with the platter. And adding insult to injury $5 for a can of coke.wow.that is just stupidly expensive.

Simply put, there are better places to go and eat.

Star for service which wasn't bad.

Would I go again.highly unlikely and would I recommend it? No for the above reasons.
