45The staff here are great, we recently went through the heart breaking experience of having to put our beloved dog to sleep. The compassion and empathy shown by the staff helped us through this time as well as can be expected. We even received a bereavement letter from them which started all the waterworks again but was so thoughtful. Great staff, thank you guys.
I took my dog in to Vetwest as he was unable to put his front paw down and was in so much pain. I was told he was stung by something (most likely a bee) so he was given an injection for this. Received a follow up call from the Balajura centre the next day & I told them he's no better so they advised me to bring him back down. I was charged again, only to be told that he most likely has a small fracture or a pulled ligament so to bring him back for scans which would cost roughly $600. I am confused as to why I was charged again to bring my dog down the next day when he was initially diagnosed incorrectly! I have gone elsewhere & have now saved quite a lot of money, with a correct diagnosis. $265 later from Vetwest, I may as well have thrown my money away.
Quoted nearly $1600.00 for small surgery on my dog's foot, 3 other vets quoted $450.00 to $550.00, I know where I will not be going.
The vets at Vetwest are so caring and knowledgable, I am happy to see they are now in Ellenbrook!
