Travellers Autobarn Campervan Hire Perth

A fantastic campervan experience. I hired a Toyota Hitop for five days and it went like a dream. The staff also are very friendly and efficient.

Super friendly staff. Van was in good condition. Made a very comfortable trip down the South Coast of WA.

Easy check-in and friendly staff, even if it was a busy and stressful day. The van we rented was good, clean and working properly. Really enjoyed it.

Rented a Kuga from Perth base. Very happy with vehicle supplied -bonus, automatic! Thanks Telea and Brendon for friendly customer service, and prompt follow up from Scott in Sydney office when I had a query. My Kuga never let me down - no hassles on picking up and returning. Cleaning staff do an excellent job. I would hire from Perth Travellers Autobarn again. Thank you for positive exper6.

The whole experience with these guys was fabulous. The staff in Perth are amazing. The vehicle in great shape. We rented a Kuga for 13 days and everything on the road was perfect. We needed at one point assistance /advice and the customer care center were really really helpful. Would certainly be renting again. Highly recommended

Had the most amazing road trip around Australia's south west in a Kuga campervan! Our van was clean, modern, comfortable, and fully kitted with everything we should need. Thanks Telea and Brendon in Perth for your friendly and helpful services!

To start off: I am NOT a complainer, I have travelled a lot and I am a very flexible person normally whilst traveling. BUT, I just need to share this with everyone!

I gave one star just because I had to, to be able to post this comment. Otherwise I wouldn't have given one!

Travellers Autobarn is a shame and should be ashamed about the vans they have to offer. We rented a Budget Campervan and from day 1 I had problems. I wasn't able to open the side door from inside, which meant I had to crawl through the front to get out of the van - This is so unsafe if something must have happened, and furthermore I was not able to lock the doors. I was alone in the van, so I was lucky nothing happened.

To continue, I called Sam from Autobarn and he send me to a garage in Exmouth, where I was about to arrive during that time. - Please note I was in this van for already 4 nights, without being able to lock it or get out fast if needed.
The garage 'fixed' the lock. Anyways, a couple of days later my boyfriend joined me during our trip and we were so unfortunate to have another problem with the door. We got send to another garage. When being upset about this and all the waste of time, extra stress, going from one garage to another, Sam literally said to me; ' What do you expect when you hire a Budget Camper van'. I was in shock!
To continue with the garage and the door. Then in the last garage they fixed the door. Was it hilarious or just sad? I'm not sure. They let us use a rope to open the door as the handle was totally broken. I will post some videos of that later.

Furthermore, they advertise false information about the use of petrol. On their website they say the vans use about 13-14L/100KM, we calculated this and we used around 25! L/100KM! We spent about 1000$ MORE than calculated at the beginning of our trip
Explanation of our dear Sam was, variables. Such as the strong wind hen you drive to the North. Like this was the case every day. Again too much blabla and not willing to meet our in our needs.
We paid a lot of money for this van, and it is just not worth it!

I can keep going about what was wrong with, BAD mattress: It is like sleeping on the wooden bench, very old interior, as in dirty and plastic is getting lose everywhere. We had problem with our pomp, so were not able to use the tap for a couple of days. - We fixed it ourselves.
What was broken from the beginning:
- Battery of the electricity which is important for the fridge
- Side door: not possible to open
- Curtains and interior is dirty and very very very old.

Just one advise for you guys out there, do not give 1 cent to Autobarn, because it is just not worth it! PLEASE CHECK PHOTOS

My partner and I who are from NSW flew to Darwin to visit family and spontaneously decided to do a roady down the west coast, We had an amazing trip from Darwin to perth in the kuga hi top! Loved how you could stand up and had all the comforts of home at your disposal. Awesome value for money, would definitely be back to hire through this company:) AAA+ a special mention to Telea at the Perth branch, she was an absolute gem and very efficient at her job! Great Place to hire a Campervan for holidays! Had an amazing time up the west coast. The van itself is very clean and fun to drive. Thanks again for the perfect service Talea!:)

Very friendly and helpfull staff. Bought our campervan over 8 months ago in Sydney and needed help with the broken table inside. Eventhough we came in last minute, they helped us very quick!

We rented the "Chubby" campervan from Perth to Exmouth and back for 10 days.
The van was clean and we were told was one of the newer vans they had so it was in great condition. It was reliable and we had no problems.

Amazing customer service! Teagan was so so friendly, funny and helpful throughout the whole picking up and dropping up process! She even let us chill out with her after we dropped off the van because we didn't have anywhere to go till our flight that night.
Would definitely recommend renting from here! Thank you:)

Customer service is so bad. We payed an insurance 800$ and had an accident near Kalbarri (hit a kangaroo), they let us in a garage in the middle of nowhere without toilet for 1 night, they do not provide us a new van before 6 days and we had to come back to Perth to take it (about 600km from Kalbarri). During these 6 days, we had to pay for an Airbnb waiting for the van, we asked for compensation that they don’t want to give us. We asked to be refunded, they said it was impossible. The day we had the new van (it should have been ready since the day before), it was not ready at all, anyone seemed to be aware that we have to pick up a new van. We had to wait one hour and half to have the van.
They said « 24 hours service » this is not true, we called several times after 6pm, nobody was able to answer + the bench closed before the opening hours written on the wall.
All of this is unacceptable, we are just a young couple who wanted to do a road trip like a lot of people and all we’ve got were troubles. DO NOT GO TO TRAVELLERS AUTOBARN if you want to be safe.
