The York Hotel Kalgoorlie

I love the atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and occasionally checked on us to make sure everything was in order. The food was delicious and the serving portion was massive. They were probably designed for the miners:) I strongly recommend visitors to Kalgoorlie to make a stop here for dinner or lunch.

The service at first was absolutely amazing and then came the meals which were top notch for pub food! Cannot fault this authentic pub and it’s great staff. Thank guys, great dinner out!

Barra for dinner was excellent. Normally inland seafood is questionable, but the York serves up a decent feed.

Beautful hotel. Taken lots of pictures even before patronising. Had the york pizza last night and was delicious. Back here today for lunch specials york scotch fillet and chicken schnitzel. Took more pictures internally. Great friendly service.

Never a bad meal here - never consider stopping anywhere else in town! Great food, atmosphere and service.

We were greeted by an amazing bartender/ waitress called “Flo”, not only was she polite and accommodating but knew the specials! Got us seated, got entrees on the way, got us drinks! Food was great! Service like this is lost these days! Flo you are a credit to the York! You made our night!

Customer service was excellent, dog friendly with a beautiful outside sitting area.
The barramundi was absolutely amazing, highly recommend it!

Appalling service. After buying a meal, a couple of beers, we were asked to leave, simply because staff wanted to close (1/11/22,8: 50pm) early and wouldn't allow customers to finish their drink. No wonder all the other Hotels in town were still open and packed full of people. What a shame, as the York used to have a good name.

What an incredible pub, I was in Kalgoorlie for 3 weeks and regretted that I only came here on my last night. I couldn't recommend this place enough! A great range of beers on tap, the food was absolutely beautiful and the staff behind the bar were simply fantastic. I couldn't recommend this place enough. I would have gone here over every other pub in Kalgoorlie any day of the week. Thank you guys so much, had a great night!

Beautiful historic hotel, very friendly and accommodating staff and excellent dinner at the restaurant; a veggie pasta dish that was EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you everyone.

Can't judge the rooms just the fantastic lunch value, the delight of sitting on the balcony and the amazing heritage building

We sat up on the balcony on a cool autumn night. Enjoyed the view over the main street.
Great menu with a lot of choice.
Ordered a nasi goreng and a parma to share. Plenty of food well presented.
Great quality and suitable pricing.
Thoroughly recommend.

The food was amazing. Had the chorizo and linguini and it was very good. Atmosphere is nice and the staff are very attentive. Recommend for anyone visiting Kalgoorlie

Great balcony to sit and watch the world go by then wait for the sunset with decent pint. Service was great from everyone.

First the initial warm welcoming from the friendly bar staff and continued to the service and food quality, I can't fault the York Hotel, Kalgoorlie.
A warm comfortable atmosphere with an amazing Sports memrobilla posted around the Restaurant. Haven't yet stayed overnight, however I ser the rooms are also very reasonable for accommodation for the location.

I didn't stay here but stopped in for a beer. We sat on the upstairs balcony with views over Hannan St. Beautiful architecture in the pub.

A very nice building, lovely decor and welcoming staff.
We ordered lunch, a cheese burger and York Minute Steak with garlic prawn sauce.
The flavours were really nice, the presentation nice.
However, the cheeseburger was barely warm, in fact cheese had not even gone soft and was cold.
Same with the minute steak. It had gone cold and well overcooked. The sauce was barely warm and the mash had formed a skin, vegetables not even warm.

Had dinner there. The reservation kept our preferred seats as requested. We had great service with drinks. The waiter then was helpful on the menu and at my table all diners were very happy with their choice of meal. It was quality food done well.

Had a beer and meal at the mighty York whilst working in Kalgoorlie. The food was excellent as was the service. Recommended and favourite pub in Kal.
