The Vale Bar & Brasserie

Food was good and generously portioned, drinks were reasonably priced and a good variety, the only let down was the staff being less than attentive

Unless you are ordering fried food you will be disappointed with your choice of food. They do fried food brilliantly, but anything else has been very average.

It's a family pub so didn't expect too much. Food is good but the wait in line was ridiculous (only 1 drink per order despite ordering 2 separate main meals, common sense running dry there) and running out of napkins is breaking hospo 101.

Food wise I wouldn’t order the chicken and chorizo paella and also the Thai Beef salad again. I think those two need to be removed from the menu. Coming from me, I’ve tried most of their food and most are pretty good.

Had a counter lunch here. The food was good value and reasonably busy for a Thursday. Food was served in good time. The only criticism we had was the outlook to the car park with ratty plants - no idea why an effort wasn't made to improve the ghastly (what a great word) view. An easy improve.

Always enjoyed the Vale and we are regulars but the last few times in the last month, the food has been a little bit too salty. I love well seasoned food but sometimes its just been a bit over done with the sodium. Other than that, we really enjoy going there.

Nice pub. Well kept, spacious and Well presented. Friendly, helpful staff, good food at good prices. Lots of specials thru the week.
We'll be going back.

Been a regular at The Vale, food is fine, but the service in the seated area has been decreasing of late. Today was not busy at all and plenty of staff but they either walked straight past or too busy re-arranging furniture multiple times. If in bar service section no problem can go order at the bar but if your in the serviced area then have staff serving.

Nice pub, food is decent. Costumer service is average in the seated area, have had to go up to the bar to order on more than one occasion as staff haven’t came over to take orders after waiting more then 10 minutes.

The bar staff are so lovely and we'll informed. One in particular young bar tender named Hannah went well out of her way to make sure our night was spot on. Will definitely be returning here.

I’m being very generous and also l can’t post a comment without a star. Don’t waste your money and go to this place. The staff is very rude and the food cold.

Very disappointed with our meals x six and the unfriendly rude staff.

The hotel itself is incredible however the staff really let the place down and the meals which were flung on to the table were presented well but the meat and fish meals ordered were tough, dry and tasteless.
Such a shame considering the brilliant Bar, restaurant and outdoor areas offered at the Vale.
We may have visited on a bad day however the surly disposition of both female staff members would be a deterrent to future visits.
We would not recommend or return to the Vale.

The food in this place is not bad l must say l loved the steak but after being there 4 times. The food standard is decreasing and it doesn't help that the service is appalling, the staff are very rude. I understand you are busy but that's no excuse to be rude to customers. First time l went there the food and service was good, the second time its was bad. We had to order by the bar and after that we needed something, no one came to help even though we could see staff behind the bar. We kept looking at them to signal if someone could come help us but noone came untill my cousin had to go to the bar and still she had to wait. When the lady was finished whatever she was doing insteat of serving my cousin she went to another customer who told her she wasn't first and had to help my cousin. This is nothing

Fourth time by now you'd think I've learnt my lesson but no we went with my husband. We had to order by the bar again because it was full and sit outside.we asked for water and were told they had run out of jugs and to get water out of the dispensers at the bar mind you those glasses are 200mls that means everytime we want water we have to walk to the bar to get it. This lady didn't even say this in a mice way but with an attitude. Then we asked another employee who said they had jugs at the bar and to go get it. We finished our mains and l went to order dessert at the bar.l found this girl serving another customer so l waited patiently, when she was done instead of coming to help me she goes to the guy next to me asking if she can help anyone and the gentlemen pointed at me and said she was here first.l have to say this will be the last time l go there and will surely spread the word.

The service is disgusting "nginyanyile" and for people looking for other places close there's the Quarie, Last Drop and the gate

I have been here many tines the food is always delicious and the staff are always friendly, each night of the week they do different specials and on tuesdays they have quizzes, which are always fun interactive and you can even win prizes. Thursday’s is a must with $5 steak night! Great value! Would highly recommend!

Beers/Drinks are at the higher price point, but the Food is value for money, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, location is great and the layout is good.

Busy thursday night. $5 steak night! Chicken parmigiana was great and decent servinf size.
Place great. Ambience good too, tha outdoor area maybe a little loud for my liking.
Food is tasty. Great local venue. Definitely will be back.

Ordered meals they lost our order, lucky we had our receipt. We had to wait over a hour just to find no food. Then we had to re order our meal. No apologies, we had a meeting and food was cold. We're local so don't eat here again. Too many people and nobody cares for you.

Premises is ultra modern and has a young hip / your family vibe. Atmosphere is vibrant and food is above average. Pricing is fair

Nice new and modern venue. Staff was friendly and didn't have to wait too long at the bar. They bring around free snacks while you sit and enjoy your drinks.

First time visiting this place as recommended by a friend, atmosphere similar to The Quarry as been told it's the same owner but bigger. Had $5 steak night that's on every Thursday. Food was great but preferred The Quarry better. The Quarry sticky date pudding still taste better. Will still come for other meal.
