The Vale Bar & Brasserie reviews
75Great food great value with meals and beers.heaps better than the bar and grill on carington.
Really good food, easy relaxed atmosphere and staff were cheerful, helpful and kind. Lots of free, well lit parking. Lots of families there.
Not having a good night at the Vale, I will say it's generally good but they lowered the bar tonight first they changed the TV to something else and then I got up to have a piss, they cleaned up my full drink. Thanks Vale GET <_%%@.
Went with a large group for Christmas catchup, Our long table extended from one door to another open door with the cold breeze coming onto us and also the air conditioner was coming right down on us we froze it was unbearable. There were empty tables including a long one down the end of the room out of the way of the doors. I had Butter Chicken it was terrible couldn't eat it, it was so strong with some spice, butter chicken is usaully an orange colour this was so dark brown
Great food, combined with fantastic service = a perfect dining experience. Thoroughly recommended. Will be back for sure!
Always a good place to grab a bite to eat and a drink or 2, the southern fried chicken burger is a must.
Ordered the chicken burger ate some of it only to realise it was raw! Raw chicken! The best the could do is refund the cost of the burger. This place is run by kids who have no idea.
Great place for a late lunch
Seafood platter was very nice chilli mussels where too lovely
Staff where lovely great atmosphere
We will be back
This place doesn't represent value anymore as the lunch specials times have been reduced, it was good while it lasted
A excellent place to have a enjoyable meal and drinks. With very helpful staff. They have very good entertainment.
A GOLD STAR goes out to the staff for their best efforts. Even when they seem understaffed they are still giving their best.
A GOLD STAR for the venue itself. Modern clean and spacious with a good atmosphere as you walk through from one section to another.
Another GOLD STAR for the drinks selection. Caters for all
The other two stars i cannot give as I believe their menu is overpriced and underprepared.
Improvements must be made in the kitchen.
I have been visiting The Vale on a weekly basis for well over a year now and trying most of their menu (specials included) this is where they need to focus and lift their game.
This is our local and we have always loved this place. We would often suggest eating here with friends but not anymore. We are extremely disappointed with the menu, particularly the lack of vegetarian and vegan options. This is such a let down for vegetarians but also just for people who don't feel like eating meat when they dine there. This week I ordered the Salt and Pepper Squid and was very disappointed. I didn't finish the meal as the squid was soggy and the overall flavour was very underwhelming.
We had a reservation in the bistro we were told our table was given to someone else and we could either be "squished" into the cave or they could make an exception and seat us in the sports bar with table service. Very disappointing as we usually love this place.
Not enough vegetarian options.
The vegetarian nachos are very poor.
And the tart they offer sounds so depressing.
Anti-vegan restaurant
We had a family birthday here with approx 40 people. All the meals came out in a very close period of time and were absolutely delicious. Service and venue was lovely too
Food is ok. Value for money. I am happy. The staff working there are absolutely amazing people. From young to an mid aged lady that served us last night.you’ve made the customers feel very relax and comfortable. You are polite, understanding and very cultured people. Well done to your management team who have train your team well. I have been there at least 5 times. The standard has not been compromised
Food was bad quality. Ordered the prawns with rice and the rice came in lumps and was hard. The prawns tasted overly fishy and soggy. Let’s hope my stomach goes ok tonight. Rip
Head Chef, Jason is very rude & arrogant. This is a real shame because overall, the Vale seems like a decent establishment.
Lovely family atmosphere. Very casual. Staff were friendly and accomodating.
Meal was nice
Ordered the pork belly. I got given a plate of over cooked pork rashers and a piece of crackle that had clearly been cooked separately last week and the asparagus that was under cooked
