The Pier Hotel

Reasonable food, reasonable prices for a very busy country town, which to me is a pretty good option. Depending on the night however make sure you book, otherwise you might be disappointed and there aren’t many other options.

Very well run pub, busy but efficient, friendly staff. Food pretty good. I had Wagyu beef which was average but Rankin Cod was excellent. We also had an antipasto platter which was very good

Good ambience and nice food. We went for early dinner on a Tuesday and is surprise to see many people on a weekday.
Wood fire pizza was served within 10 min so happy kids! Tasty garlic lamb, fresh and beautiful seafood hotpot with generous serving and yummy sirloin steak. I love the mashed potato for my steak too (on request for a little extra charge only), it’s creamy and silky. And I can say the price is very reasonable in my opinion.

The only small thing is the toilets for both the bar and the restaurant looks very old and uncomfortable lighting. But otherwise everything is good!

I would definitely go back to the Pier Hotel for a meal. I had the pork cutlets with with bok choy, sweet potato mash, crumbled bacon and mustard sauce and it was delicious. My partner had Chicken parmy with chips and a cabbage salad.

Ended up here as one of the few places open and with space. Small portions, very bland food, majority of menu consists of greasy food.

Such a great little pub and wonderful frendly people in this town of hopetoun will be bach again soon

Although having passed it on previous trips to Esperance never went in. Today we popped in after a late arrival to town. We were pleasantly surprised by the tasty food and friendly service. I had the jumbalya which was very well balanced flavours with fresh seafood, the trip of dips and mushroom bruchetta were also enjoyed by our table. The service was also worth mentioning - the servers and bar staff were friendly, polite and quick.

Great venue, great staff. Have been having Thai beef salad, 12 out of 10. Today had salt & pepper squid, entrees, absolutly devine. Can i suggest, less sqiud, small amount of chips & tomato, cucuber, lettuce.

Don't dine here. Staff uninterested. Can't pour beer or make proper lemon, lime and bitters. Food $$$, and bland. Chef needs to taste what he serves. Manager argumentative with comments left

Nice pub, friendly staff, good service. Ordered some pizzas, food came out fast and was delicious! Reasonably priced good atmostphere.

Very tasty dinner of Spaghetti Bolognese, Steak & Pork Belly. Salad bar had a small but very fresh selection. Also a nice simple vege selection which was a nice surprise. All the meals were generous portions. Overall a great pub meal.

We ate twice at the Pier during our week in Esperance. On both occations the food was excellent, my husband said the steak was one of the best he'd had! Service was also good despite being busy and staff friendly.

Walked 3km for a beer n nice meal but ended up not hungary by the time we ate

Delicious food, great atmosphere, Sat and chatted for ages, no pressure to leave even though it was busy

We came for our sons 7th birthday. Wow what a venue, staff and food are amazing and well priced. Paddy and the staff made him feel very special. Once again thanks heaps.

The staff here are great! We went for an early lunch on a Saturday. Food was generally good but the chips are a real let down. They have a weird set up where they have table service for food but, you have to go all the way back to where you ordered to get your knife and fork anyway. Thats just nonsensical - if you're given a buzzer anyway you might as well get your food too. Leaving your food at the table seemed very strange considering we were outside. Anyway.great views, staff are personable, food good if you don't want chips, decent menu and fair prices. We'd go back.
