The Norfolk Hotel reviews
71This spot has EVERYTHING. Shaded alfresco area if you're looking for some lunch or an early pint. Tucked away on a corner, but not cramped - spacious and atmospheric. The menu is VERYreasonably priced especially considering the amazing quality of the food. Great selection of craft beers, friendly staff, I'd live here if I could.
Great friendly atmosphere and very attentive staff.
Food was delicious and well presented.
Would definitely come back with friends.
This place was absolutely amazing! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, outstanding custom service. The food was amazing, so flavoured and very good portions. The drinks were very well made! Complements to the facility for an amazing experience!
Love the Norfolk, one of my favourite places. The accommodation is good too, as long as you get the ensuite rooms. The staff are really helpful and friendly, I highly recommend the Norfolk.
Got turned away at the door even though our party was already inside, after we went somewhere else the rest of our party arrived and were allowed in even though they said the same thing we did?
borderline sexism think!
We’ve visited the Norfolk Hotel a few times and always been impressed. Today we went for lunch. The first thing we saw which was striking was the amount of greenery on display. We ordered a grazing board for 2 and a crispy buttermilk chicken burger. The food arrived promptly and was delicious whilst not leaving us too full. Service was top notch. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants to visit when in Fremantle.
The worst pub in Fremantle hands down. Very rude manager who stopped us at the front door and denied us entry because he didn’t like the colour of our shirts because “there are families here. ” Significant number of friends in my group were of aboriginal descent, not sure if that was the reason but he sure showed a significant distaste to them in particular. Never again will I visit this venue.
The management and staff l take my hat off to you for good old fashioned service only to be up staged by the hotel. I will be back
The Norfolk Hotel has one of my favourite atmospheres of any restaurant or cafe around. You are surrounded by greenery and walls of history dating back centuries. It's a popular place so it's always bustling with people out for a meal or just a drink after spending time at the beach. You really can't help but feel like you are in holiday.
I did really appreciate the portion sizes when it came to the burger and chips which was tasty and filling while being a healthier option than many other burger places due to their portioning! The share platter was an incredible sight which was filled with delicious meats, breads and salads! The wait staff were very accommodating, remaking a salad to be gluten free when the error was on our end for assuming it was gluten free. There are also so many dairy free and gluten free options or alternatives to almost every item on the menu!
The bar staff however tended to ignore customers waiting to order a drink to the point the bar was crowded with people waiting and filled the cups with more ice than necessary (as you can see in the photo) so the coke was very watered down, but I believe this can be attributed to the number of things they had to do on a busy evening.
Overall it was a very relaxing and pleasant meal.
Very nice food steak was perfect salmon presentation was very nice good looking bar very well stocked don't mind paying when people use the good stuff
Excellent choice for an afternoon meal and drink. Atmosphere is just perfect and their music selection makes you not want to leave! We got daring and ordered a food board. Do it! Worth every bite.
We noticed the restaurant from the road and after going to the markets, we went to the Norfolk! What a treasure find! Awesome food, staff and atmosphere! Ordered the Feasting Board for 2! AMAZING! Everything about the restaurant was SPOT ON! What a find!
Awesome selection of craft beers, great food (including smoked meats!), friendly staff and a safe, clean and relaxing alfresco area. What more could you ask for? Hands down my favourite place for a beer in Fremantle.
Organised a table of 10 for a meal there. All meals were good and well priced. Coffee and hot chocolate excellent too.
Staff were all pleasant and very helpful.
Great place for food, drinks with a nice courtyard beer garden setting. I thoroughly recommend a visit to this historic pub
Our visit was all about sharing - tables, platters and a few bottles of rose. Share platter was heavily meat orientated and could have done with fresh salad rather than pickles but otherwise a fabulous day in a busy courtyard with the winter sun streaming in.
Overpriced meals, a poor quality (& small) portion of salmon. No sauce offered with steak, just a knob of butter. Lift your game.
We honestly had a great time until we were cut off for quite literally no valid reason they could tell us. We had alot of people here for a special occasion but they decided because of one person who they couldn't give reason for they decided to cut the entire table off. It's a real shame!
Always awesome service great food & great selection of Beers, outdoor area has changed, more greenery, the pizzas are awesome what we couldn't eat they gave us to takeaway, one of my favorites
Holy dooley! Unassuming from the outside but blown away by the food, service and casual atmosphere. This is all supremely well supported by quick and dedicated service plus a really good selection of craft beers thats constantly changing. Best chilli mussels in WA that I've had and the full menu was something to remember.
