The Local Hotel reviews
59Came down for dinner and drinks after work one day. Super customer service they had some new things on tap we asked about and the guy turned around gave us samples talked through it gave us suggestions super knowledgeable and helpful. Really cool staff. Beer was superb after a long day and really yummy food
Wonderful pub. So many different rooms
Food service was quick and food very tasty
Would recommend
Good experience with the restaurant. Delicious food, proper size and reasonabe price.
The Local Burger and Chicken Cottelate were so good.
Always a great place to go for breakfast lunch, dinner, drinks.
Five separate areas, each with a different environment and/purpose whether be a casual drink or full menu.
One of the older pubs in Fremantle.
Ate Friday night 18/8 with friends. From past experience with food here, am not a fan of their dishes - too many ingredients that don't go well together and dill pickles seem to be served with everything. Why? Decided to try Fish & Chips grilled - fish was dry & overcooked & those dill pickles which were not on the menu, tainted the salad. Disappointed and will not eat their food again. Get rid of the dill pickles & focus on better food.
On a busy public holiday we were incredibly grateful to find The Local Hotel open.
Even better than being open, the food was really, really good and reasonably priced. The craft beer on tap was wonderful too.
Overall, the service was flawless - friendly and helpful staff, extremely quick, and very accommodating all round.
Loved my short stay here. Arrived bit late on my first night but was made really welcome. All the staff are really friendly, rooms are comfy, atmosphere is cool and food is amazing. Try the prawn and fennel Fettuccine - to die for. Thanks Eva for making me so welcome and for the advice you offered re my trip.
From the street, it would be easy to assume this is just a pub. You'd be wrong though. Inside is a spacious back area with multiple seating areas. A beautifully lit dining area with old wooden fixtures, reminiscent of a tavern far away from the city lights. The food was incredible, the lamb rack was sensational, the steak was cooked perfectly and the blue swimmer crab pasta had generous amounts of crab and prawn. 10/20 recommend
5 Stars for consistency. Booze is varied and excellently curated. Food is reliable and well priced. Tunes are quality. Never had any attitude from a staff member in 8 or more years. Different rooms/themes. Support your local.
Not that local as I don’t live in south Freo. Not really a hotel either, but sells beer so that makes up for it.
Comfortable, quiet, airy, clean room with high ceilings.plush king bed. Aircon, ceiling fan, T. V. Heaps of charm and character. Welcoming, friendly staff who do everything to make you feel at home. I stayed for 3 nights and it was so quiet upstairs. Bar and bar staff are helpful and friendly. Descent selection of beers. Music selection was perfect for a quiet little sesh. Hardwood crackling in the fireplace on a crisp Freo winter night. Very tasteful establishment with good bakeries and early opening cafe's nearby. Short walk to water and markets. A lot of cool clothing and boutique shops nearby and locals are friendly.
I absolutely loved my weekend stay here. The staff were super friendly when I arrived and my room above the bar area was clean, spacious and well-preserved. I highly rate the food, outdoor dining areas and craft beer selection. Thanks guys and look forward to staying with you again.
Went for the first time and had lunch with friends very friendly staff and delicious food I had fish and chips
Hired the Garage for our engagement party, it was such a fun and gorgeous venue. The private bar was perfect for the event, and it was so easy to organise and reschedule given ever changing restrictions.
Bar tab and canapes were a hit, the Mac and cheese balls were delicious!
Highly recommend for your next event without paying an arm and a leg for min spend.
Amazing meals. The ribs and the salmon were equally good. Some of the best pub meals we’ve ever had. Good vibes too.
Beautiful and yummy food as always, been coming here for the last 3 months and still same standards, friendly staff from bar and kitchen. Definitely recommended.
Great local feel, specials dishes are always huge, fantastic loaded chips. Good beer selection and guest beers. This place has patio, bar, dining, back room, lounge room fire place and garage, good in summer as it is in winter. Fave.
Great staff, great vibe. My partner and I came specifically to have the lamb rump (2), local potato, broccolini, apple slaw, pickle dish. It’s always been sensational. In the past we’ve been told we will have to wait 30 minutes for the lamb rump to be baked. Today the dish arrived in 10 minutes. We had sliced lamb, re heated roast potato (cracked and dehydrated) and clearly old slaw (brown and dry). We left sated but won’t be rushing back.
Love the ambience. A great place to spend a few hours watching the world go by on South Terrace. Good selection of food & drinks. Friendly staff.
Manager with attitude when you say the COVID stamp is cross contamination. Wagu Bugers we’re sausage meat, the brioche buns were splitting because they were stale and the chips were re-fried. Not pub prices either.
