The Karalee on Preston

Just love it when I find a new favourite pub, mmmm honestly not sure I can call “The Karalee on Preston” a pub as the joint has an unusually refreshing & relaxed atmosphere coupled with an abundance of fabulous staff who are all so clearly invested in ensuring all patrons are well cared for.
So many venues Ive visited in my extensive travels generally leave me wanting in one or more ares I value when eating out, the “Karalee” on my weeks break over several visits for lunches, dinners and beers were on point each and every time in every aspect, fantastic food, cold beers, amazing service, fair prices, clean and tidy venue.

Thanks so much for looking after me this week guys cannot wait to visit again soon….

Can't recommend highly enough

Lovely view of the river. Excellent service and great big serve of yummy pub food. We had a large party table and we were all looked after very well and had a lovely Sunday lunch with drinks and yummy looking desserts. Children well accommodated with activity packs, kids menu and high chairs.

Amazing service, fitting a table of ten in even though they were basically booked out. Service was very friendly and super quick. Everyone's food was great and generous portions

Shared an evening with friends at the Karalee last night and had a delightful meal, the choices were great, (I would highly recommend the lamb shanks), the staff were friendly, attentive and prompt and the atmosphere, whilst busy, appeared cosy and welcoming. Definitely will be back.

Great spot for a catch up with a feed. Views over the Canning River, sports bar, good quality food and a wide range of drinks options. Parking underneath or across the road on Preston St.

This place is a gem. Nice location, the menu is comprehensive and delicious. Everyone was happy! Staff were on the ball and ready with a smile. Try it, they've mastered the art of pub food.

Great location with river view. Friendly service. Food is amazing with beautiful presentation and wonderful taste. Will definitely come back here regularly.

Very helpful staff, freshly prepared food nice relaxing place to have meal or drink with family and friends

The food here is typical pub food and very average at that. We had a few different meals ordered at our table.
1. The ribs were very disappointing. The meat was broiled and tastless. The Coleslaw
had no dressing and got left.
2. The spaghetti marinara.pasta overcooked and you had to search for the sea food.
3 Calamari Dish.frozen food that is put in the deep fryer.
Geez. I know why I would rather stay home and cook.disappointing.zse

The Karalee is consistent with their delicious food, attentive wait staff and excellent selection of wines and beers. Never disappoints.

Had the best chicken parmi here the other day. I'm actually moving next to this place soon so definitely will be back

We come here all the time. The service is friendly and efficient, the food is fantastic. I recommend this place whenever I can.

Very disappointing. No ambience no music. Better vibe in a food court. Husband had the steak sandwich, left a lot to be desired. Certainly not award winning. I had chicken casalinga. Veg way undercooked. I don't mind firm veg but that was virtually raw. No cocktail service at all which makes no sense. Only saving grace was their staff. Super friendly and helpful. Wont be back.

Great food as usual, not as noisey as the new Como. Still my first preference for good pub grub.

Chicken Casalinga and Steak Sandwich is what I love the most! Staff are really friendly. Service is really good. Great spot for the locals.

Based on the reviews and photos thought we would have a really good food and eating experience.

We pre-booked but turned out we didn’t need to do this and the booking was with a request and we didn’t get a reply or confirmation on arrival. The request wasn’t met and if anything a big let down based on the other options we had been considering.

The service and hospitality was friendly and good can’t be critical of this. But the food wasn’t great and based on the reviews this was really disappointing and misleading. The steak sandwich was ok but fatty and the Godfather burger was actually better tasting but not as good as a Varsity burger. The lemon meringue ok but not anything to rave about.

Conclusion we came away slightly disappointed to be honest which is a real shame as we wanted a good feed and eating experience. It felt as though we had been in a sports bar with the locals and having a regular pub grub meal. Gutted as you can tell the owners are passionate about what they do!

Amazing steak sandwich and beer selection. Wish it had a nice outdoors section (I don't smoke so not sitting in the smokers section)
