The Karalee on Preston

Great place!
Lunched with friends at Karalee on Preston yesterday. Service excellent, wait staff so attentive and even asked if our meal (huge!) was satisfactory.
Had to return when I lost an earring (suspect it was outside when I removed mask) and again girls were so helpful.
Will visit again.

We came to the Karalee last night and felt compelled to write a review after our experience with the new owners. Aaron, while he tried to do his best, was drowning from the get go. They mixed up our booking and we had to wait more than 30 mins for a table already booked. If that wasn't bad enough, my wife had severe food poisoning after eating the chili mussles. This is not the experience you expect when you go out for a meal at your local.

Of note, I see from previous posts the owners are trying to falsely discredit posts by saying "there is nothing in our record of you being here". That means they are using sensitive covid check in data to match up with customers. But check in is no longer required guys! And they never asked to see my wife's Covid certificate when dined in? So either you are flaunting covid laws, mismatched with your staffs duties, or lying. Which is it? What a disgraceful establishment. Can't even admit to fault!

Dined here last night for the first time. Wow, what a disappointing experience. The pork belly was dry and the staff were slow and rude. I tried bringing this to the attention of the manager, but this person seemed to be indifference to their poor service. I escaped the Karalee unscathed as far as food poisoning goes.but when that's your selling point, well you don't have much to offer

Celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary at The Karalee on Preston. Staff went above and beyond to make our time special. Good was great, staff were happy and friendly. Definitely will be going back

Tried their award winning steak sandwich it was tough. It wasn't a relaxing experience. Looking elsewhere for our next celebration because it was too noisy.

So great! Tried the other night - such a nice view of the river. The staff were so friendly and attentive and the steak sandwhich didn’t disappoint!

This is one of the best pub dining experiences around. Always beautifully clean, with a nice clientele. The food is consistently delicious and the staff lovely. Sharon, possibly the floor manager, goes above and beyond to make your time there very comfortable. Thanks Karalee.

The best steak sandwich I've ever eaten. Beer was perfect temperature. Felt like I was in Man Heaven

The steak sandwich was amazing, as was the sticky date pudding. Great service and handicap accessible.

Exceptional food and amazing waitstaff. If you’re after a decent meal while watching the sunset with your favourite someone, the Karalee on Preston is the place to be! Be sure to book though, it’s no secret how good this place is! Special thanks to Tom for squeezing me in and looking after me for my entire dining experience. ️

Holy moly, what an amazing place to eat at! The food was probably the tastiest food I've had in Perth, and for an amazing price! Had the Lamb Shanks, Garlic Prawns and the Pork Belly. Cannot recommend this place enough, can't wait to go back!

The steak sandwich here stands up to its name and I can see why it has won so many awards beautifully cooked.

Great service, delicious vegan pumpkin patty burger with small side salad, when you order the large beer batter chips they are actually large! Massive!

The food was amaing! The serving were a bit big but their is always the leftover takeaway option staff very nice as well.

Got there to be told that they do table service at the weekend. Ok that’s nice thank you. But, table service consisted of whipping away anything empty and not even stopping to ask if we would actually like another drink, or would you like dessert?
When will restaurants learn that it is so rude to take away plates of those having finished their meal if there are others on the table still eating!
I felt like we were at a cheap diner that wanted us out as soon as possible (and they weren’t busy)
There were about 6 wait staff hovering to see what they could take off the table.
Only one young man Jake took our glasses but came back immediately asking if we would actually like another drink. I did thank him and told him he was the only one to do that in our entire visit.

Have been there several times forvthe award winning steak sandwhich, which is big enough to share. Excellent.
