The Crooked Carrot

A great family space. Lots of room for kids to run around and play. Lots of seating available. However, in summer there can be a lot of flies and indoor/covered seating can be limited.

Great place to stop with kids, huge playground. Also lovely gardens and grassy patches. Food was good and good portions. Takeaway cake for us! Staff friendly.

Best thing about the Crooked Carrot is the play space for the kids. A very wide open space with loads to do, and a lot of effort put into the equipment for kids to climb and play on. Just be sure to make time enough to play for a bit.
The home style sausage rolls were quite good.
Sometimes it gets quite crowded, school holidays etc. If the wait is long, the staff are good about saying so and you can change tact and get the 'ready to eat' food instead.
A stop at the Crooked Carrot had become tradition for my family. Stop, eat, stretch the legs out, use facilities and move on. Plenty of parking.

At first we thought it was unassuming, but already when we looked for parking we saw how big it is! On our way to the counter to place our order we passed tables with food on that were being cleared, the portions must be huge! The burrito indeed can feed two people and is so yummy. Just the meat pie had its normal size. The outdoor area is a paradise for kids to play, toddlers to young teens. A perfect spot to break the long drive for Perth families to and from their weekend get-aways.

Food was delicious, the service was fast and extremely friendly.
I would definitely recommend this place.
There is plenty of parking and lots to do for the kids. The whole place was clean and tidy and had enough space to sit out.
We really appreciate the relaxed atmosphere, to chill and stop on the long drive.

Fantastic place to stop for a meal and let the kids or dogs have a run around and play.
The gardens are great and lots of play equipment.

Not as good as i thought it wod be, bit expensive but like the fact the staff let tou know they were really busy and qould be a longer wait than normal

Perfect place to stop and get a feed while the mini-me's burn off some energy in the playground. Can be very busy at times, but that just shows it's popularity.

Great place to break up the trip down south very generous servings for the price. Huge play ground for kids well worth a stop in.

Very disappointed at their service. Firstly they got my coffee wrong - ordered Almond Latte as my wife is lactose intolerent, but they served Macchiato with full cream milk. Then waited 40 minutes for my food, eventually had to ask the kitchen where my food was then the manager (apprently) said the kitchen was preparing our food now and came up with excuses "not sure if you have been in the commercial kitchen, ". Clearly they forgot my order as all the people behind me in the que got their food and some already finished. Instead of covering up with non-sense excuses, maybe you should admit and apologize if you know you messed up. Fianlly after 50 minutes of wait, got our food but still missing an emu pie. I had to then ask again for it. One postive side was at least the waitstaffs were friendly.

Such an awesome little Cafe. Excellent service, yummy food and a great space for the kids (little and big) to play.

A brilliant halfway break if you're on your way to Busselton or surrounds, from Perth. Incredible playground for the kids and a great party venue.

Wonderful place to take children. Good for adults. Great food range. Fantastic staff. Won a Tourism Award for West Australia.congratulations well deserved.

Extremely disappointed, came here with our 2 year old and 3 month old.

45 minutes after ordering a burger and nuggets I asked the waitress who said the kitchen was just running slow.

After another 15 minutes I went in and the ladies at the counter said there wasn’t ever a docket printed for us.

After 20 more minutes or food came, the waitress said we must have moved the table number (even after admitting there was no docket printed) we didn’t.

For compensation after all of this we received 2 free coffees. Definitely worth paying $50 and waiting over an hour!

Unpleasant experience
Some people in stuff were rude and aggressive for no reason at all inspite of being nice to them.
I decided not to step a foot therr again however beautiful place setup
Customer service is important and those who I dealt with know nothing about it.
Before I wrote all that I sent a message on the site but no one got back to me, as a part I guess of their bad service

This cafe used to be the go to for a coffee and sausage roll when heading south. Not any more.not sure what is happening there, but the sausage rolls are not a patch on what we purchased months ago and the coffee is so so. (see our previous glowing reviews). It seems to becoming a casualty of it's own success. I do hope it can turn around and become the go to place it used to be in the past!

Great place for a coffee stop or even a bite to eat for lunch. Great facilities, playground equipment for kids (toddlers- early teenagers)

Top place to relax and grab a good meal or snack to break the trip. Lovely garden surrounding and dog friendly.

Awesome environment for all the family, great food and the staff are very helpful and friendly, highly recommend
