The Como Hotel

They have done some absolutely stunning renovations, it's a beautiful building. However at the high quality of the interior and decor, the meals were lacklustre. Two burgers at the table were really salty, and the steaks were undercooked.

Attended a birthday party in their function room upstairs. Food was good but was very slow to come out despite the plan being to serve food earlier. However we still enjoyed ourselves and had a good time.

New chef has improved the food. The crispy salmon and bangers and mash were delicious. The staff are friendly and courteous. Friday night is a busy night as chase the ace was on, but service was still good. The bar is noisy but friendly and a mix of young and old. We enjoyed our night for dinner. The drinks are very good value. Definitely be back

The atmosphere is good, Venue is clean and modern, with staff quick and friendly.
The food is good and plenty, the price is right.can be recommended for families

We booked the venue 10 days before for a work lunch. There were about 20 of us and we've notified the Hotel about the number of people expected. Yet after ordering the food we had to wait well over an hour to get served. It was a work lunch and all of us had to make up the hours we lost. Even though the food was OK, we will not visit the hotel ever again. Sorry you lost about 20 costumer and you should have no doubt we will tell our friend too so I am pretty sure you've lost well over 100 customer due to your incompetent management.

Surprisingly, really good vegan food for a pub styled dining experience. The mulled wine, doesn't follow traditional recipes and tends to err on the bitter side. The vegan parma and mac and cheese bites were as good as they sounded and definitely worth trying out.

It was a nice pub atmosphere was ok staff were good and the food was good pub food. The food was very slow to come out but other than that I enjoyed the night will come back

These guys work hard to create a family friendly pub in a city without much of a pub culture. Always enjoyable.would like to see them embrace a few more craft beers on tap going forward.

Prefer medium rare rump steak.a quality cut well caramelised on the outside but tender on the inside. Goes awesomely with the garlic sauce and chips

The Sunday special is amazing, and the cheesecake was divine. Exceptional portions for very reasonable prices

This really is a great place for lunch with something on the menu for everyone set under a large covered area outside plus some inside seating too. Last week they had $18 pizzas and they were so big I could only finish just over half and I’m 100kg and can normally finish a pizza.with an $8 pint of any tap beer. Great value. They also have table service for both beer and food. Definitely on our favourite lunch spots when the sun is out.

I went for a solo date with some work. Great service, lovely setting, neither too noisy nor not noisy. Was nice with dogs (well managed by owners). Gave a nice feel. Steak sandwich particularly delicious. However made the bread underneath really soggy. I informed lady at till but felt like I got an "ah well" response, rather than recognition of genuine feedback. Still, had a comfy lovely time.

Stopped coming here 2 years ago because the bad customer service and terrible and extremely over priced food. Just moved back into the area and thought we would try again. Shouldn't have. Food is still very average for the price and the fact that we just paid $16 for two red bulls is disgraceful. We won't be back.

Busy pub with good priced drinks, with lots of events on during the week and month. Food isn’t very appealing and is quite bland and overall sad. The dips and entrees are much better. I wouldn’t recommend the food but will say that the place does have a good atmosphere and venue with some 70s funky colours.

Always loved the Como! Food is still great for lunch. The battered fish is a bit oily but the chips are too good. Friendly staff and great outdoor seating.

Enjoyed a great steak sandwich today! The yellow pickle or relish works really well and the melted cheese is a great touch. Well worth a try!

Seriously poor service. We waited over an hour for our entrees which they told us had run out before we ordered (even though we saw people order and recieve throughout our hour waiting). Offered a free round of drinks to apologise so we stayed for dinner, which took ANOTHER hour! Luckily the food was really well made and we left full but the service was so so terrible and the mojitos were like drinking syrup and mint so not going back and would not recommend for anything more than a beer.

Busy on any day of the week. Great vibe, friendly staff, huge meals served piping hit and well priced.

We went to the Como today for lunch, we both had the steak burger but the steak had grisle and as we both tried to bite through it the burger just fell apart.we were both disappointed as the staff were top notch, they made us feel very welcome as we laughed over a few things, it was a great moment. But the steak burger was not a patch on how the menu discredit it.at that price and with the menu discript we expected a wow factor but all we got was beetroot and salad over the table.

Sorry The Como maybe we got you on a bad day but we drove 25 hours to area friend and drop in on an off can.
