The Como Hotel

We just had lunch in the newly renovated old favourite! Wow! The staff were incredibly accommodating considering it was fully booked and theyanaged to fit three people on our table without a grumble! Special shout out to Summer and Bec, so friendly and kind. Food was fab! Highly recommend the charred chicken salad and pork ribs!

My first time back since the renovation. Very impressed with the new decor and layout. But very disappointed that Bangers and Mash is no longer on the lunch menu.

First time coming here since the renovation. I felt the reno was ok.externally the rear beer garden was much nicer, but internally they seemed to make some unusual choices resulting in what seemed like smaller areas.perhaps there was a reason for that, but it wasn't clear me me as a patron. Aside from that, the service we received from the team was spot on, the place was really busy on the Saturday afternoon I went, and the staff worked really well and I was never waiting long at the bar. They could do with branching out from just the same James Squire range on tap, but thats my general gripe with all the ALH pubs.

I give the place 5 stars for their staff alone - service was as good as you could expect anywhere, including niche small bars, and certainly leaps of bounds above the other ALH pubs where service is typically ok at best. Would definitely come here again.

Just had dinner at the Como, lovely renovations and setting. But don't bother with the parmi, not fresh chicken but processed. Not nice at all especially for the price.

The Como had renovations a little while ago and the place looks very attractive. The dining area is spacious and airy. The menu is a little limited and typical pub style with a few nice surprises. The pulled beef spring rolls were very tasty and a nice twist on an old favourite. Snapper and chips was good. One of our group had the vegetable korma, he doesn't usually eat Indian food and it was not too his taste At all however the staff offered him another choice and did not charge for the korma which was great service. Overall a good experience.

Today: Very noisy and poor covid management - many people walking around AND BEING SERVED without masks on. The Seafood BBQ was tasty but not good value. All wait staff were excellent. No Crown Lager: (
5 years ago: 3 stars Good value for money meals but I've eaten better. The steak was a bit grisly but the lobster Thermidor was delicious. Not all wine on the wine list was available - unacceptable for a pub with a bottle shop! Good enough to go again.

Exceptional customer service. Very attentive, quick, friendly and accommodating. I had a small issue with my meal and they fixed it up for me immediately. The satay chicken was very nice and their ginger beer especially was delicious. Great place for drinks with friends. Big spacious place with dining areas, drinking area, couch area and television. Relaxing environment. Will be back for drinks sometime. Will be getting jugs of that ginger beer for both me and my partner next time lol.

Early dinner that became a longer stay. Great menu to choose from. Staff were attentive to our needs for food and beverages. Different sized groups were accommodated, including well behaved children enjoying a family meal out. I'd recommend booking a table for the time you want to arrive.

Tonight I had the beef burger which was nice but I must say the waiter Raj was absolutely fantastic, a charter who was a pleasure to be served by.

This place has a awesome atmosphere on Saturday night. This funky chili music making vibes and a few tip top beers to realy funk out with. Really good now that it has been revived. Keep the beats flowing

Had dinner with friends on a Sunday night of a long weekend. Was my first time there. Good parking facilities. Place is very spacious with lots of different areas - bars, dinner, outdoor, pool tables. Staff is very friendly.

They have TV screens in every areas which is great if you happen to be there on game day. Even showed Formula 1 - once the AFL game was over.

Menu is typical of hotel/pub food with, fish and chips, chicken parmi, a small choice of pizzas, steak sandwiches? Etc.

Serves are very generous, food is very tasty and prices are very reasonable.

If you’re after a great time out, then the Como Hotel is certainly worth a try.

We really enjoyed the lunch and our NANNA got 10% off her meal.
The staff are friendly, the food is tasty and it’s really well priced. The renovations are great too - we’ve been going to the Como for years and it was starting to look really tired - but now it is fresh and clean. The beer garden is beautiful too.
Only criticism is the lack of choice in good craft beers.they would do well to add some more choices there. Go to the Como it’s worth it.

Found it excellent, staff were attentive, all aspects of my meal were beyond expectation. I must note though was reasonably quiet when I visited.

Always love the Como Hotel. Staff are friendly, busy most days, will get the same standard of service and food every time you visit.

So good to be back at the revamped Como. Excellent meals and service plus the discount for seniors appreciated. Decor looks stylish.well done

I went for lunch on a Tuesday. It was quite with a lot of parking available. Coffee was really good, I had squid with chorizo which was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. I will go back.

A menu that doesn't fit a pub, ordered chicken parmigiana it was reasonably priced with large serving, done poorly, if your going to do comfort food do it well! No something that you would get served at a Rio or Bhp site! Very average. The service was great and fast!

Freshly renovated, with a fantastic new menu, friendly staff who are dressed smartly. All up a great place for a relaxing meal or a drink!

Don't like the new Como. Loud. Busy. Food has gone downhill. Prices have gone up. They want big spending youngsters who don't give a damn about quality food or price of booze. May get them. Won't keep them.
