The Breakwater

I just had the most bizarre situation. I met my friend and my elderly mother for coffee. We ordered our coffees. After 20 minutes two finally arrived. I asked where my coffee was and was told I'll go and find out. 10 more minutes pass I ask again and am told yes he's making it now. Still no coffee. I ask FIVE more times and every time I am told they are making it. I get up and all the staff are just standing around. I'm so confused. So I ask for the manager who seems to think this is so not a big deal and proceeds to make my coffee. 45 minutes later I got my coffee. Such a bizarre situation and I have no idea why it happened. My friends mum asked me. "Do they not like you. " I said obviously not. They did pay me back my $5 but I did really have to kick up a fuss.

I remember the original.breakwater and must say, that was far better than the new. Food was below par, prosecco wine was flat but was changed for the brut but expensive. Our waiter from south Africa was lovely. Some seats were dirty.only good thing is view but Mindarie better and rambla on swan way above and same price.

The worst part of attending this joint is the fact you need to see the bank manager first. Very expensive!

Waited about 15 mins for a cocktail to be made, i understand it was a saturday night and it was very busy but all the bar stuff looked at me and say i had a buzzer for a cocktail and did nothing.

Atmosphere was great. The staff super friendly, quite often joined in on our stories and had a laugh with us

Good place for a quick lunch with the kids.if you can get a table. Good views of the harbour. Great menu and drink selection.

The perfect Winters day… Breakwater cocktails, beautiful clothes shopping at Biba Boutique on the boardwalk, then back for more cocktails, a snack and great live music as the sun goes down! A girls dream day with BFF’s

Ripped off with my food!

I ordered the Steak sandwich and what I got was 1 third of a sandwich. It was literally segmented like a taster. Even the steak wasn't complete. The other people at my table thought it was on the children's menu but I paid full price. A bloke next to me ordered the exact same meal and got the full roll + steak. If your food here doesn't look complete I advise you to complain.

Went there for beers and dinner. When finally deciding to go for dinner, they couldn't accommodate a table for 6 inside. Food looked good. For the bar service was quick.

Terrible service, horrible food I would not recommend this place at all. I asked for buffalo wings I got deep fried cauliflower. The staff were rude, do not go here even if your life depended on it.

Beautiful afternoon tea with a bottle of Prosceco and beautiful finger food and desserts (our lovely waitress kept topping everything up) and glorious view of the Indian Ocean

Great lunch with an old friend.
Sammy was an absolute delight to deal with. All restaurants need people like her, they make the experience great or ordinary.

Good location and lovely staff, food was alright but definitely expected the seafood to be better

Waterfront bar, multiple spaces and good ambience. Meal's were ok and full bar range and cocktails are a specialty.

Visited the breakwater on a Friday, enjoyed their seafood sharing platter for 2 that we could not fault, we were surprised of the freshness and quality, $48 you can't go wrong.

Nice place, happy hour was good all sorts of drinks, nice view and good atmosphere staff were also friendly and polite:)

Friendly service, overlooking great view's, as a suggestion i wouldn't recommend beer battering Barramundi (on menu), as it kills the natural fish flavours of a more quality fish vs something else, otherwise I'd give 5stars

Place has great views good vibes but TBH your security guards need to do better at their jobs.big egos they need to go back and train properly next time.

A Great meeting place, with people of all ages meant I didn't feel ancient!

Really like this place.just seem to always run out of champagne. 4 times in a row that happened.
