***** coffee and white choc and orange muffin good thing and super good warmed up will certainly be back.

I used to love this place except last time I went I wasn't impressed that they forgot my food and I had to ask 3 times before they bought it too me by this time everyone else on my table had finished there meals: (
Hopefully this doesn't happen again coz it's a great place for the kids and the food is so tasty

Went there for breakfast with my family and my mum

Dishes ordered were:
Kim Chi Chicken on Pancakes
Big Breakfast
Kid's Fish and Chips
Kid's Omelette

I also had a milkshake which tasted pretty good.

In general, the food was good and there was plenty of space for my kid to run around. There was a large play area outside for him to occupy himself

Relax and great atmosphere. But food is not good at all. I had a pink pancake and chips. They should make a better chips it was not a great at all moreover the pancake was little bit uncooked so texture was mushy. They are just sweet not any savoury flavour. So disappointed!

Great place for a cafe style meal. The outdoor area isn't fully waterproof as the "canopy" has some gaps between sheets and holes scattered throughout. Something to be mindful of in inclement weather. Otherwise a sweet place that is dog friendly!

Very tasty food and good coffee. There is a big back yard and kids can go wild a popular place for mum and dads who want a quiet hour or two.

My spaniels were attacked by two off the lead Rottweilers whose owner sat and watched as I desperately aimed kicks at his dogs. The male was particularly aggressive and trying to bite my boys throat.

No one from the cafe helped despite everyone hearing and seeing what was happening.

A couple of days later I went there (without dogs) to ask what safety measures they had in place.

The owner (" you've got two minutes to speak to me ma'am") was rude, uncaring and insisted staff wouldn't intervene (even with a hose). He just kept telling me his legal position was fine.

All I had wanted was reassurance that wouldn't happen again.

Of course I'm never going back.

Fantastic location for kids and pets. Great outdoor area with playground and secure zone for the fur babies. The food was excellent with some unique flavours and our coffee was good enough we got take aways for the drive home:)

Our visit today for breakfast was good, although we struggled with the limited breakfast menu.
Definite Asian influence on the menu which seems to be more lunch focused.
The meals we did get were delicious and good portion size.
Expensive sides are incongruous with the cheap meal prices, $2 extra just to have poached eggs compared to fried or $3 for scrambled.
Coffee was good and service was quick and friendly.

Very dog- and family-friendly. Doesn't look like much from the outside. But it has yummy food and an enclosed dog playground area. Cafe-style food is a good mix of modern contemp.and Vietnamese.

We stopped for lunch with our pup. The food was DELICIOUS! We got the Korean sticky chicken flatbread and nacho chicken burger. We will be back again and again.

Real disappointment, food was way below average & disappointing.

Wouldn't go back & would not recommend at all!

Dog friendly cafe on the outskirts of Whiteman Park. Substantial breakfast/brunch meals and excellent coffee.

Highly recommend Slate Cafe! This is my favourite place to enjoy a lovely coffee and let my 2 dogs have a run around in a secure area.

We love Slate! Awesome place to take the dogs for brekky. Good food, coffee and lots of dogs to pat!

Really great food and friendly staff. Great for kids and dogs and great that there are fenced off zones so if you're a dog that doesn't like kids or a kid that doesn't like dogs or an adult who doesn't like either there are plenty of choices.

A beautiful place to take your family and doggos and a lovely way to spend your morning with excellent coffee and food.

Delicious food, excellent play area for the kids, and good coffee. The pulled pork eggs benedict was so tasty and decadent. Will definitely be back.

Very good venue. Good menu selection, although I would have expected a larger kids selection. Plenty of activities for the kids to do, and you could easily stay all day. Clean, safe and tidy. Thoroughly enjoyable time.
