Slate Cafe reviews
82Amazing food, always I been coming here for years and amazing stuff super friendly and once again food and the place is truly beautiful!
Today was our first-time experience here. The atmosphere is amazing, the play area for kids is so good, but the food was mediocre (looks nice, but taste so so).
Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. A bit pricey but that's what you pay for - good food. Like to bring my rabbits here and they're relaxed enough to sit and eat with me.
Usually very busy here on a weekend, definitely make a reservation. The Vietnamese dishes are to die for, with the perfect combo of spices, fresh crunchy leafy greens and silky smooth rice noodles. On the same road as the entrance to Whiteman Park dog Park.
We came for the dog we stay for the dogs and everyone leaves hot tired and happy (note inside shaded). I don't eat meat so menu limited for me, from memory coffee is ok. More shade in dog park for humans might be an idea.
That was first time visited at Slate Cafe, great coffee and delicious food, I would be happy to going back again.
The atmospherenwas nice. Cool outdoor area well suited for kids. Nice food, especially the French toast. Service was good
Fantastic spot! Worth making a regular visiting. For those seeking an open, comfortable venue that's both dog and kid friendly, this manages to also bundle in great coffee and equally decent food
Never been disappointed! Thus visit was iced coffee for me, choc milkshake with eggs n bacon for the 10yo, he loved the poached eggs on toast but couldn't finish all the bacon, there was so much of it!
Friend had one of the favs from Mrs Le's menu, he loved it!
Great service (very quick), good prices fab food!
Plenty of room for dogs n kids to run and play, and lots of parking.
Can't wait for the next visit
Great food.its a bit untidy and having dogs inside might be off-putting for some people.but the staff were friendly and prices reasonable
Food is getting worse and worse. I had barely cooked eggs on Father’s Day that gave me diarrhoea. Then they gave me raw chicken salad yesterday. I’m done. Plus the swings are STILL horrendously loud and screeching. FIX IT.
Impressive setup with a dog and family focused cafe. A few Vietnamese dishes available as homage to the owners roots. Great Pho
Lots of dogs around with a special fenced off area for them to play, run and interact with. A good space for young kids to do the same.
Coffee was good and food was enjoyable.
Cool for dogs & kids. The meals a tad over priced but very tasty.
Had to wrestle the flies for my meal, seated on the deck
PUP friendly with plenty of space for your pooch to run around. Food is good and is a great brunch spot for weekend with kids and pups. Staff are always courteous and even stop to say hi to your furbaby.
The breakfast was awesome and very well prepared. Only a 5 minute wait and not too pricey, but the best thing was they allow dogs in the cafe making for a great atmosphere. Definitely be going back
Sitting near the playground on what can only be described as a child size picnic table as there are only two adult sized ones available.
I ordered the big breakfast and the two poached eggs were hard boiled and I had to eat this with cardboard cutlery and in a takeaway cardboard box with everything piled on-top of itself.
Then being charged $1 extra for soy milk
Very disappointed.
Food portions are massive could not finish it. The food is yummy though, inventive menu, had the red velvet latte never heard of that before it was good although I would have preferred a larger cup to go with my massive breakfast. Which was the maple bacon french toast. It was huge, dawned with plenty of toppings kiwi fruit, banana, strawberries, shimmer of icing sugar with at least four pieces of bacon covered in maple syrup. I wanted something different and I got a French Canadian colossus. Would recommend. They also have vegan, vego, and carnivorous options that cater to most and many. Plus your surrounded by doggos playing, the atmosphere is family, singles, friends and couple friendly. Would definitely recommend and go again.
Great little spot to catch up with friends. Play space for kids. Area for dogs. Excellent coffee casual eating. Love it!
Ultra freindly staff and a great atmosphere! If you like dogs, coffee and food, this is the place for you.
