Sandy Beach Reserve reviews
55It'll be nice place for to take their families and walk their dogs. But for now with all this construction stuff I'd stay away
Went to sandy beach today at 5.00pm with Rosie didn't get bitten by any mosquitoes as I made sure I had the areogaurd on this time. We love it. Met some nice friendly dogs
Easy shady parking. My 2 dogs love this place! Great job by the Guildford Shire, new (looks large) play ground being built at the moment that will even add to a great area, very few people at any time of the day, have a visit, especially if you have young children & dogs.
Sandy Beach reserve is great. There is a kids park which is currently being upgraded. An awesome picnic area by the river which people are always using.
A sandy beach for if you want to swim in the river. It is a perfect spot for the dog to run into the river and swim.
There is also a nice short walk track along the river. This has great views of some small pockets of native plants being regenerated and the river.
Sandy Beach Reserve has a lot of potential as far as family recreational park is concerned. It is still not fully developed. Once completed I'm sure it will be one of the best. You can do kayaking, swimming, walking, etc. You can just sit and relax while appreciating the nature. There are barbeques and public toilets too.
It only gets three starts at the moment because there is work going on which will update amenities and provide a wonderful new playground. The walk through the wetlands nearby are excellent if a bit muddy in the winter and of course LOTS of bullants in the summer but all can be easily navigated around. Great for bringing any four legged family members to for a run around.
Been going here since I was a kid great swim areas and a nice walk along the river, and for family they have a toilet block
Great bit of open space, only let down slightly by the aging and sparse children's play equipment.
Great location unfortunately play equipment required renewal and those wonderful bee's and mosquitoes could be relocated. Otherwise an enjoyable experience. Walking, basketball, soccer and running around.
Lovely spot for a picnic or seeing the Swan River, great walks by the river, but watch out for tiger snakes.
A lot of Dog poo around the play ground.need more maintenance and playground for kids and adult for a such peaceful place to excercise.
Took my daughter here for the first time and she loved all the birds that live on the plains and seeing all the dogs running around. It's beautiful and quiet and mainly visited by locals. Small beach for the doggies to have a swim.
Visited this place from around 4pm, didn't really enjoy my stay because of mosquitoes. Too many mosquitoes around this area. Probably the best time to visit is earlier in the day.
Gorgeous reserve on South Beach Fremantle. Very family friendly with ball courts and a great cafe.

Its a nice place for a walk along the river. Better if you have a dog. My dog loves coming for a run and a dip in the river.
Lovely shady trees. Nice green grass. Barbecues. Lots of rubbish bins. Toilets needed a clean. *Much more parking required. * But overall okay
Beautiful nature reserve. Great for walks along the swan river. Little sandy inlets for swimming. Great for picnics and bike riding too.
Quiet little park beside the river. Nice place for a spot of fishing or just reading the paper.
A amazing place for families, great spot for dog walking, some mornings it's so peaceful you really appreciate nature.
